There were 3 sauce option, we tried Classic and Spanish. Classic wasn't as classic as we expected (lived for 10 years on Belgian border). Still fine. I definitely preferred Spanish ones, with a slight chorizo and jalapeño kick to it. French fries were , shoe string size, perfectly fried. Beer lost was impressive even for connoisseurs. Service was fast, even kids didn't wine for too long, I'm hungry I'm hungry I'm hungry. They had schnitzel over Caesar salad (it was a good Caesars actually) . Didn't try their schnitzel but they ate it all so I guess it was pretty good. They only thing I didn't like was bread, under baked and not worth the German heritage this place goes for. Also it was a bit too dark, I actually like seeing my food and it was very much dusky.

She seemed eager to help us realize our vision rather than impose someone else's onto us. There are also four other people on the IBN team: the sous chef, whose name I forget; the bartender, for whom the same is true (maybe Aaron or Erin), and two servers: Mason and Spencer. These folks did an AMAZING job and we were both so grateful for their kindness and professionalism on the day of the event. Finally, I liked what I ate! I was happy with my day-of meal. Cons: Natasha was incredibly rude to both me and my husband in the weeks leading up to the post-wedding party. I had only spoken to her twice before the party: once when I hired her and again in February. She'd said in February that we could have a third and final call two weeks before the event. When I emailed her three weeks before the event to schedule this final call, she sounded irritated and said we'd spoken "a few days ago" (we had not; I even asked some relatives in case someone else had, but no) and she wanted to "stick to the plan" of having a call at a date a time to which we had not agreed--- only *five* days before the party. My husband reminded her that she'd said we could talk two weeks before and she eventually, reluctantly scheduled a call with us. When we call at the date and time she told us to, she does not pick up; instead, she texts us that she's in the middle of an event. All of these things are perfectly normal, human mistakes. We all get clients confused and talk to one as though they are another (like the "a few days ago" thing). We all overbook ourselves every once in a while and are unavailable after telling someone we would be. A professional would have simply apologized; instead, after I used *one sentence* of an email to express my disappointment about the missed call--- because my husband had taken off work to be available for it, so lost money for no reason--she used this as an excuse to threaten not to show up. Said she needed us to "confirm" in light of my "tone." In light of this, I decided not to speak to this person anymore unless absolutely necessary (i.e. at the party, for the sake of our guests). My husband took over talking to her, at which point we had a fun little role-reversal in which he was now the one reporting to me on a regular basis how rude Natasha was being to him. So at least I know it wasn't personal! Conclusion: If you just need to place a big food order and don't need to talk to the chef again after that, you can go with IBN and you'll probably be fine. If, however, you are planning an event of great importance to you--or just don't want to risk being treated like a burden for wanting to speak more than once with someone you're employing-- maybe look elsewhere.

This was our second visit here while visiting family upstate. The woman working behind the bar seemed very friendly to a regular with a dog, immediately acknowledging him as he walked in--even skipping us in line to take his order. However, when it was our turn, she showed no interest in engaging with us or offering the same level of customer service. On the bright side, the rest of the team worked quickly and efficiently to prepare our order, and another worker, who was very kind, delivered everything promptly. The bagels are excellent--one of the main reasons we returned--and the place is small but charming. Improving that one employee's attitude toward non-regulars could really elevate the experience and make this spot memorable for all visitors. read more

The bagels here are pretty good, but the selection of flavors is kind of small. I was really hoping they would offer some grainier options, like a raisin pumpernickel or whole wheat. There cream cheese spreads are OK too, but not very interesting options. The major problem I have with them is their sanitation. NO ONE was wearing gloves, or using tongs or papers to handle the bagels, just their bare hands! Also, they all had masks on, but down below their noses! Jeez, this covid crisis has been going on for 2 months with lots of info available from the fed and Dutchess Health Department on how to serve take-out food to avoid contagion. The Bagel Shoppe in Fishkill is absolutely fantastic. The menu is diverse and original and if you want your average turkey sandwich, The Bagel Shoppe will still create a special one for you. The menu includes bagels, paninis, salads and hot meals too - among other great choices. The staff is friendly and courteous. The cost of the generous portions was extremely reasonable. This is probably the worst place I've ever went to. Every time I order something EVERYTIME they get it wrong. You ask for no ketchup on your sandwich guess what? Your getting ketchup. Fed up. And the short ugly Guatemalan woman is extremely rude and nasty. Done with this place. Say goodbye to my business with you which was almost everyday. Been there a few times and the breakfast wasn't bad. I hit this place a few times when I travel thru fishkill but this morning will be my last visit. I know that everyone has to start somewhere but when 4 people come in behind me and get served and leave while I'm still waiting for my 2 sausage egg and cheese on a bagel is frustrating. Also, I always pay with cash and now that pennies are gone they are not rounding to the nearest five cents, they're just rounding it up regardless of what the number is. It's the nearest and most convenient bagel shop to my place but after having my request for having my bagel toasted ignored so often, I don't think I'll be coming back.

Best way to describe the taste was like fresh bagels in the morning and come evening when I grabbed one it tasted like "bread" in the shape of a bagel. I know that sounds insane considering a bagel is bread but it tasted like Wonder bread shaped like a bagel (with a flake like texture & taste). While that's my only complaint I'll put that blame on me for my lack of bagel storing knowledge. Would I stop here and buy bagels again? Abso-freaking-lutely! I plan on stopping by every weekend now but I'll buy less since I clearly don't know how to care for my left over bagels. I'm just an amateur when it comes to bagel storage.
