Pros: We chose Natasha for a small family party to celebrate our wedding this spring. We went with her mainly because she was the first/only chef to begin our conversation by asking us what WE had in mind and letting that be the foundation for building the menu. She seemed eager to help us realize our vision rather than impose someone else's onto us. There are also four other people on the IBN team: the sous chef, whose name I forget; the bartender, for whom the same is true (maybe Aaron or Erin), and two servers: Mason and Spencer. These folks did an AMAZING job and we were both so grateful for their kindness and professionalism on the day of the event. Finally, I liked what I ate! I was happy with my day-of meal. Cons: Natasha was incredibly rude to both me and my husband in the weeks leading up to the post-wedding party. I had only spoken to her twice before the party: once when I hired her and again in February. She'd said in February that we could have a third and final call two weeks before the event. When I emailed her three weeks before the event to schedule this final call, she sounded irritated and said we'd spoken "a few days ago" (we had not; I even asked some relatives in case someone else had, but no) and she wanted to "stick to the plan" of having a call at a date a time to which we had not agreed--- only *five* days before the party. My husband reminded her that she'd said we could talk two weeks before and she eventually, reluctantly scheduled a call with us. When we call at the date and time she told us to, she does not pick up; instead, she texts us that she's in the middle of an event. All of these things are perfectly normal, human mistakes. We all get clients confused and talk to one as though they are another (like the "a few days ago" thing). We all overbook ourselves every once in a while and are unavailable after telling someone we would be. A professional would have simply apologized; instead, after I used *one sentence* of an email to express my disappointment about the missed call--- because my husband had taken off work to be available for it, so lost money for no reason--she used this as an excuse to threaten not to show up. Said she needed us to "confirm" in light of my "tone." In light of this, I decided not to speak to this person anymore unless absolutely necessary (i.e. at the party, for the sake of our guests). My husband took over talking to her, at which point we had a fun little role-reversal in which he was now the one reporting to me on a regular basis how rude Natasha was being to him. So at least I know it wasn't personal! Conclusion: If you just need to place a big food order and don't need to talk to the chef again after that, you can go with IBN and you'll probably be fine. If, however, you are planning an event of great importance to you--or just don't want to risk being treated like a burden for wanting to speak more than once with someone you're employing-- maybe look elsewhere. read more

Natasha is an amazing chef! She was with us for a full day cooking brunch and dinner for my family of 8 adults for my son's first birthday party in Saugerties, NY. Everything she prepared was super delicious and everyone loved it. She was also really easy going and a pleasure to be around. The lead up to our event day was super organized, she was very responsive and easy to work with and even had to deal with our last minute change of location and an oven that was barely working (which she didn't let impact the menu or quality of the food at all!). Highly recommend and we'll certainly be calling her again the next time we're in the area. read more

Where can I even begin, Natasha is an amazing chef! I was diagnosed with Covid-19 and I didnt have an appetite for anything. Even the smell of food made me feel like vomiting , for 2 days I only drank orange juice and ate apple sauce until Natasha made the most AMAZING chicken soup. She was super professional. She inquired about my food allergies, favorite vegetables and flavor preferences. She even delivered the soup right to my doorstep! Now as the for soup itself, it was sooooo delicious! She prepared a tomato based chicken soup with vegetables and rice. It was delicious to someone with no appetite that I even ate the entire contents of the container! The cherry on top was when she prepared an onion tart for a party that I attended. Let me say, the tart was good and I don't even like onions! I feel like anytime someone is able to make onions even look appealing is a rare talent in my eyes. Book with Natasha ! You won't regret it, I know that I didn't !!! read more

We just had Chef Natasha cater our 50th anniversary/New Year's celebration with my family of 11, including 5 vegetarians & 4 children and it was wonderful! She was very responsive to the various food preferences & created an Indian meal that pleased everyone. Not to mention that she came up with an Indian style dessert that incorporated gulab jamun, a coconut cream filling & chocolate which combined everyone's favorite things. Natasha was incredible to work with for a weekend retreat I hosted in the Hudson Valley. From the beginning, she was the first to respond to my inquiries for quotes, had a ton of great ideas for a menu, and was able to deal with any and all of my requests (food restrictions for guests, timing, creating a theme, wine pairings, etc etc etc). We were able to communicate easily up until our event and I had a clear idea of pricing and budget. When the event weekend came, she was incredibly efficient, professional, and handled a last minute snafu (the grocery store lost a bag of ingredients that she had ordered) with ease, and more importantly, without me even knowing it happened until it was already resolved. The guests loved the food and we had enough leftovers to nosh all weekend. Finally, when I got the bill a few days later, I was pleasantly surprised to see it was a few hundred dollars under budget.
