Do you do anything with gaming consoles? I don't need anything major, I'm trying to replace an internal battery in a dreamcast or maybe some LED mods. But i have zero soldering experience.

Hi Christopher. At this time I do not solder anything anymore, though I will in the future. It looks pretty straight forward though. iFixit - https://goo.gl/bUJQXJ has an excellent how-to for the Dreamcast. And here is one on how to solder -… Read more

Fix My PC - Fast, Honest, and So Worth It!…read more So I had this computer I really loved, but one day I accidentally spilled hot chocolate near it... and it got inside the computer. I tried to clean it up, but I guess I didn't do a great job, because after that, things slowly started going downhill. The screen would randomly go black, it lagged like crazy, and some of my games just wouldn't run right. After dealing with that for almost a year, I finally decided to have it looked at. I had taken it to another shop once before for a different issue, but they kept my PC for over a week and honestly, I don't think they diagnosed it properly--because the hot chocolate mess was never addressed, and the problems continued. This time, I found Fix My PC, and I'm so glad I did. The gentleman there was super kind and clearly knew what he was doing. The shop is small, but don't let that fool you--he's sharp. After a proper diagnosis, he found the issue: the video card had been damaged from the spill. He cleaned it out thoroughly and replaced the card--and had it all done in just 3 days! I couldn't believe it. Fast, accurate, and no upselling or runaround. Compared to the last place, which took a week just to figure things out and more time to change a part, Fix My PC was a breath of fresh air. Highly recommend! Great service, reasonable pricing, and the job was done right.

*****BEWARE OF THIS PLACE****** I took my Mac pro…read morecomputer in for repair because the speakers were blown. What should have been a simple job turned into an ordeal. Starting with, the attitude of the people there very territorial. It seems as if they believe that no one else can speak and understand Spanish. But that's not even the worst part, the worst part was I dropped the computer off and it was fixed in about a week and a half and then October I took the computer home and it would not start up after it was starting up perfectly before. The camera was not working either after it was working perfectly before. I received the computer back and in less than a week the new speakers that they supposedly ordered went out immediately . I promptly took the computer back and had to wait over 2 weeks while they ordered the new speaker and they kept changing the days as to when the newer speakers came. The new speaker's never came in and they never called me to tell me that they were not coming in because they did not know what a status because they never checked on this status. Even this was not the worst part of this ordeal. I finally had enough and I went and picked up the computer and took it to a different computer shop in Whittier called SoCal Computer Repair. There were some discoveries that were made because I knew that they were trying to nickel and dime me. It turns out that the previous speakers that they installed were used speakers and they were not new at all. In other words, they took the speakers from a used computer and put it into my computer thinking that I would not know the difference. To add insult to injury they did not even put all the screws back in my motherboard. Another insult occurred when I found out that they put glue in order to get my camera working. You see I don't know what they did with the money but I immediately got a refund and in this review I am including pictures so that you all can see not to take your computer to these people because they are very very very very shifty and they are very greedy and they will rip you all off at any chance that they get if I can give this review negative 8 stars I would do it. This place is to be avoided at all costs. If you ever take your computer or phone or tablet to this place you might want to have them open it up and show you and also if you order anything new from them have them provide the receipt because they are not to be trusted at all. This is the worst computer place in Long Beach. Also beware if they cannot give you a definitive timeline as to when your product is done, that is when they will more likely use other parts from a previously owned computer into yours.

I've come here for about a year, mostly for the printing services as I'm a university student, and…read moreto buy a few miscellaneous office supplies like pen ink refills, Post-Its, and a folder. But a few months ago, we saw a deal on a sandwich board directly outside the front door advertising a "student printer bundle," which included an HP printer, two ink cartridges, and a ream of paper for $100. A couple weeks later, we decided to do it. We walked in, asked an associate on the floor about it, and they said "Go up to the register, they'll set you up there." So we went and waited in line (not too long, like two customers ahead of us), but when we got to the cashier, she told us we're supposed to go get the printer ourselves, then bring it up and she would add on the ink and paper. 10 minutes later, we located the printer specified in the ad, and carried it up to the register. The cashier then started adding in the ink and a 20 lb. box of paper. Confused, we clarified that we wanted to do the student printer bundle on the board outside that came with only one ream of paper. She was completely bewildered, asked "For THIS store?" and ended up calling over a supervisor. He explained the deal to her and that all she had to do was scan all the products, and the total would automatically change to $100. She did that and it worked. After the supervisor walked away, she told us she had no idea about that deal. We thought that was very weird because that board had been in front of the store for at LEAST two weeks that she would've had to walk by? Also, shouldn't the employees know about the deals going on? Here's the part that really sent us: As we paid and finished checking out, the cashier's cell phone rang, she ANSWERED it on speaker phone, and it was clearly some man (adult son or husband?) at home. She continued casually chatting with him about nothing while she bagged up our items. ("What's wrong?" "Nothing, why?" "You sound weird." "I just woke up." "Oh... Well what are you doing?") Finally as we grabbed our bag and receipt and started to walk away, she mouthed "Bye." to us, the CUSTOMERS, so as not to interrupt her phone call. Lol, it was surreal. The printer bundle deal was great and we're glad it worked out, but man. That store does not run smoothly and the cashiers need... more professional development.

Outstanding Customer Service - Office Depot Copier Area…read more I went to Office Depot to pick up my order and noticed Olivia Arreola working alone at the copier area. There were four customers ahead of me, yet Olivia managed everything calmly, efficiently, and with a warm smile. Her patience, professionalism, and positive attitude under pressure truly stood out. I even told her she deserves a raise -- she was working like two people, helping everyone with genuine care. Office Depot is so fortunate to have such a dedicated and passionate employee. I don't usually write reviews due to my busy schedule, but Olivia's exceptional service truly deserves recognition. Thank you, Olivia, for your kindness and excellent assistance! This was by far the best customer service experience I've ever had at Office Depot in Signal Hill branch. I highly recommend this location, especially the copier area department.
