Fast forward to a few years later and I again dropped it hard. This time, the entire back glass was cracked and I thought my phone was a goner. I contacted my provider and because of the damage, they said an upgrade would cost me $850+ all the fees/taxes. The agent actually suggested trying to get it fixed, which I was unaware was possible. I called CIR and they said since the camera lenses were intact, it would be $110. Jose worked on it for me. When I went to pick it up, he explained to me how he fixed it. I showed up with a new case and he put it on for me. Jose is professional, thorough, and is a nice young man. Everyone I have spoken and worked with at CIR provides knowledgeable and courteous service. Thank you for saving me not only hundreds of dollars, but also my data that sometimes doesn't get backed up and under gets lost when upgrading to a new phone. CIR is my go to electronics repair business - highly recommended!

Josh, if you're reading this, I gotta say too... whatever you did with the shop looks good. Everything feels way more balanced and just has a good vibe whatever you replaced was worth it hands down This dude works FAST. He's like an octopus answering phones, helping customers, fixing computers, and somehow still has time to answer my million questions. **Legend has it Josh once fixed someone's computer by unplugging their attitude.** They say his computer has never seen the spinning wheel of death because it's too scared to show up around him. For real though, if you need anything tech-related, quit messing around and go see Josh. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your cousin who still has 67 tabs open and swears it's for work. I'm definitely sending people his way. Appreciate you, Josh!

Ultimately, I decided to get a new laptop as the price difference was negligible but not before asking for Angel's personal opinion-which he was more than happy to give. Only Joe from OC Computer bothered to provide a brief, yet informative response. Without seeing my computer, he said I probably needed a new keyboard (palm rest as he called it), and that would be about $350, parts and labor. I was still able to use my computer for most stuff, so I was in no huge hurry. To cover all my bases, I took it to the Apple store in Cerritos just to see what they'd say. They weren't sure, saying I likely needed a new keyboard (as Joe said). When I mentioned the word "palm rest" it was like a foreign language to the guy. To make sure, they said they would have to send my computer off for a week...what? Of course, I asked how much that would be and they said $800...IF that indeed was the problem. Oh yeah, since I didn't have an appointment (my fault) I had to wait about an hour just to get a seat at one of the tables where you actually have a person come talk to you. Then I waited another 20 minutes until someone talked to me. The guy was nice, but I just didn't have a good feeling. After that appointment, I drove directly to OC Computer which is by my house, talked to Joe and Angel, put down a deposit for a new keyboard/palm rest and they called me when the part came in. In the meantime, like I said, I was able to hold on to my computer and use it for some stuff. When I took my laptop in, two days later I had it back and working. I probably could have had it back sooner, but I told them I was in no hurry. Anyway, OC Computer is less than two miles from my house, so I should have gone there first, but that's on me. Next time, if needed, I will. So, while I'm sure the Apple store is good for a lot of things (especially if you have insurance), I would at least talk to Joe and/or Angel and maybe save yourself some time and money. FYI...I waited a couple of weeks to post this Yelp review just in case there were any hiccups. There haven't been any...so, knock on wood. Anyway, thanks Joe and Angel.

After holding the power and volume down button for about 20 seconds the phone would come on and go right back off. I took it here to get it repaired. I found this repair location on google with a different name (ESM cell phone repair). I was charged $41.60 to have my phone inspected to see what the problem was and get it repaired. I was told I would get a call in an hour or two after the technician checked my phone. After waiting over 3 hours, I called to get the status on my phone. When I called, I was told exactly what I had told them how the phone was acting. Clearly they had not looked at my phone at all. I asked what I next step was and the guy seemed puzzled. I was asked if I wanted to come pick up my phone. Since it was obvious that they couldn't repair it I went back to pick up my phone. It appeared that the phone had no been touched. I guess this was an easy way to make money off people without providing any service. I advised to steer clear of this place unless you have money to give them just because. One would think they would at least refund the money for the wasted trip.

Years ago, I had visited them for an iPhone 8 battery replacement and was impressed by their promptness; I can't believe they had slipped my mind since. My four-year-old son recently damaged the screen of his iPad Mini for the second time. My previous experience with a different repair shop was lackluster, primarily because their three-month warranty expired just before the screen died again. In contrast, Gadget Parts distinguishes itself by offering a robust one-year warranty, usually unheard of. Upon dropping off the device, it was quickly repaired and ready for collection the next day. I particularly appreciated their hassle free approach to the warranty: it is registered directly to the device, no need for the original physical receipts. I'm so glad to have rediscovered Gadget Parts and would highly recommend them for any Apple device repairs. Hopefully, I won't have to come back any time soon!
