Fix My PC - Fast, Honest, and So Worth It! So I had this computer I really loved, but one day I accidentally spilled hot chocolate near it... and it got inside the computer. I tried to clean it up, but I guess I didn't do a great job, because after that, things slowly started going downhill. The screen would randomly go black, it lagged like crazy, and some of my games just wouldn't run right. After dealing with that for almost a year, I finally decided to have it looked at. I had taken it to another shop once before for a different issue, but they kept my PC for over a week and honestly, I don't think they diagnosed it properly--because the hot chocolate mess was never addressed, and the problems continued. This time, I found Fix My PC, and I'm so glad I did. The gentleman there was super kind and clearly knew what he was doing. The shop is small, but don't let that fool you--he's sharp. Took my computer a few times and the guy is nice and all was well but he seriously overestimates things. He broke my cpu mounts, caused my gpu to have insufficient cooling.. charged a lot for basic services.. now after I got a better understanding of computers and I see the damage on my computer. I brought in a piece of hardware I needed repaired, It has now been three months since I dropped it off, and despite multiple visits to the store, and leaving messages with the store over multiple phone calls (messages which were never returned). I have been unable to to get in any updates on my equipment. Furthermore, the store now seems to be closed, I have been there several times during the day to try and get my equipment back so I can take it somewhere else to get fixed, and theres no one there. Basically: took my hardware, never fixed it, never returned messages, and now seems to be closed, preventing me from getting my hardware back. read more

Welp, many weeks went by, several ETA's broken and finally ended up picking up laptop with battery cover missing and still non-functioning. Told me my laptop was garbage which I found unprofessional. We've had several computers serviced here and have always been pleased with the results, as well as the customer service. Recently, I took in our reconditioned Lenovo all-in-one because of a hard drive failure (bummer!). Mr. Chauncey recommended that we replace the traditional hard drive with a solid state drive. Not knowing much about this stuff, I researched solid state drives and, indeed, learned that they are the new craze in hard drives. I usually don't write reviews, but wow does this place deserve it. Chauncey was extremely helpful with my situation. My PC was custom built and this was my first time ever building a PC. If you are looking into building and are just as inexperienced as me, please make sure you know what you are doing! After taking my computer into the shop to have it looked at, i was informed that my motherboard was warped! This in turn caused a short circuit. At any rate, Chauncey took my pc and brought it back to life! It didn't stop there though. It seemed that not only would there be a short circuit, but many new problems started to arise. I brought my computer back to the shop as none of my hard drives were being detected. Long story short, i had to get my power supply replaced as this was a potential cause for my drives actually dying. Either way, Chauncey was really helpful and i ended up getting my drive replaced.
