Shady business practices…read more Took my laptop for a water spill repair, they told me the motherboard was not repairable, and the drive was toast without a chance to get back my old data. While i do believe them about the motherboard, i put the drive on my desktop computer and its working completely fine. I'm even writing this review on the drive they told me didn't work anymore and needed a replacement. The quote they gave me for a drive replacement was $200 FOR A DRIVE THAT COST ME $70 ON AMAZON... WITHOUT SAVING MY OLD DATA!!! all for a drive that is still working perfectly fine with all my data intact. Avoid this place. UPDATE: Turns out while my main usb-c charging port was not working, the secondary one still works, AND ITS ABLE TO CHARGE MY LAPTOP! I'm currently writing this review on the very same laptop they told me the motherboard was fried. So the only issue was literally 1 (one) usb-c port. If I could leave 0 starts I would. I tried to clean it up, but I guess I didn't do a great job, because after that, things slowly started going downhill. The screen would randomly go black, it lagged like crazy, and some of my games just wouldn't run right. After dealing with that for almost a year, I finally decided to have it looked at. I had taken it to another shop once before for a different issue, but they kept my PC for over a week and honestly, I don't think they diagnosed it properly--because the hot chocolate mess was never addressed, and the problems continued. This time, I found Fix My PC, and I'm so glad I did. The gentleman there was super kind and clearly knew what he was doing. The shop is small, but don't let that fool you--he's sharp. After a proper diagnosis, he found the issue: the video card had been damaged from the spill. He cleaned it out thoroughly and replaced the card--and had it all done in just 3 days! I couldn't believe it. Fast, accurate, and no upselling or runaround. Starting with, the attitude of the people there very territorial. It seems as if they believe that no one else can speak and understand Spanish. But that's not even the worst part, the worst part was I dropped the computer off and it was fixed in about a week and a half and then October I took the computer home and it would not start up after it was starting up perfectly before. The camera was not working either after it was working perfectly before. I received the computer back and in less than a week the new speakers that they supposedly ordered went out immediately . I promptly took the computer back and had to wait over 2 weeks while they ordered the new speaker and they kept changing the days as to when the newer speakers came. The new speaker's never came in and they never called me to tell me that they were not coming in because they did not know what a status because they never checked on this status. Even this was not the worst part of this ordeal. I finally had enough and I went and picked up the computer and took it to a different computer shop in Whittier called SoCal Computer Repair. There were some discoveries that were made because I knew that they were trying to nickel and dime me. It turns out that the previous speakers that they installed were used speakers and they were not new at all. In other words, they took the speakers from a used computer and put it into my computer thinking that I would not know the difference. To add insult to injury they did not even put all the screws back in my motherboard. Another insult occurred when I found out that they put glue in order to get my camera working. You see I don't know what they did with the money but I immediately got a refund and in this review I am including pictures so that you all can see not to take your computer to these people because they are very very very very shifty and they are very greedy and they will rip you all off at any chance that they get if I can give this review negative 8 stars I would do it. This place is to be avoided at all costs. If you ever take your computer or phone or tablet to this place you might want to have them open it up and show you and also if you order anything new from them have them provide the receipt because they are not to be trusted at all. This is the worst computer place in Long Beach. Also beware if they cannot give you a definitive timeline as to when your product is done, that is when they will more likely use other parts from a previously owned computer into yours.

Uber frustrating, but Ransom quickly went through all the possible reasons why my printer was not printing PP files (and all this is done remotely via remote sharing of your desktop so you can see (and hear) his lightning quick mouse moves as he quickly gets to the bottom of your problem!). Mine was solved (along with correcting an unrelated connectivity issue with my printer that had been causing it to randomly 'act badly' from time to time over the years). Should have called Ransom sooner! But all is well now and my business and personal PC needs are all sunshine and goodness (for now)! They were unable to retrieve any data from a failed hard drive. I was unable to recognize the obvious clues.....So, I took a new, in the box computer to them to set up, with disks for software that I run. I had an external drive with a backup..... Long story very short. I picked it up, many days after it was promised.... No software had been installed, no needed files. Every file was left, uninstalled as an icon on the desk top. Nothing worked... Nothing. It was surreal.... Like a bad dream. After spending 150.00, and reading the glowing Yelp reviews, I really expected more. Don't be stupid and hopeful.....I'm just not sure why one would consider using this business.
