This place has amazing food! The menu is larger than I expected! it includes sweet and savory items. I highly recommend trying as many things as you can. I love that they offer specialty coffees and mimosas too. You order at the counter and sit wherever you want. It isn't a large place but offers enough places to sit. I wouldn't say they are large party friendly though, so keep that in mind. Service is pleasant but on this day in particular, they were struggling. There is one girl at the counter taking orders and running food/drinks to the table. Which may work on other days but for busier days, like the day we went, it is definitely too much for one person. The counter has a clear shot of the kitchen which looked very big. Food comes out in a timely manner as well. We will be back but i hope they can get more help for the front of house soon. read more

I read in the reviews they had great gluten free options. BEWARE: there are NO gluten free options except corn tortillas. In 2025 it's pretty ridiculous to not have a GF bread or bun option!! Right after reading Lina L's glowing review of his place on Yelp, I put it in my "to try" collection. It wasn't long before my breakfast accomplice, Jodi and I embarked on our inaugural visit. We love to order and share- so we split the "Prickly pear cheesecake French toast" $12, the "Hollan-Daze in Phoenix" burger with criss-cross fries $16 and the French press for two $8. If you're not counting calories, these are two of the items to try! Imagine melted American cheese with crispy chips (tortilla chips) bacon, lettuce, tomato with green chili hollandaise sauce crowned on two smashed beef burger patties. A symphony of tastes that didn't overwhelm with salt or grease! The soft bun, beef and condiments were balanced nicely! As for our dessert masquerade as breakfast was created from thick cut slices of yellow bread, coated with pretzel crumbles and maintained their crispiness throughout the meal! The tasty cheesecake filling, compote and whipped cream made a sweet ending to our brunch. Since they were out of the cold brew with seasonal foam we ordered the coffee for two, French press style. This proved to be just right for us. Even though full table service isn't provided, the friendly demeanor of the cook and the counter gentleman at the counter who not only cleared and cleaned tables, engaged in conversation and made our visit very pleasant. If I had knowledge of the unique menu when they opened five months ago, I would have had many more visits in my history and in my stomach! Very limited spots for cars in the front, I recommend parking in the back. Rumor has it that Frank F a fellow Yelper also has had the culinary delights here. This place is a GEM. We came for my sister-in-law's birthday brunch. It's quick service; you order and find yourself a table. BUT, the dining area is small and we knew our party of 7 would be a challenge because it was already full. The girls at the front wrote our name and within ten minutes, found us a table and brought out our food. We all decided it was the best brunch we had in a LONG time. We both really enjoyed our meals, I got the bananas foster French toast combo, I was able to eat half the French toast. It's was overwhelmingly sweet. I should have expected that, but it was still good. My S.O. Got street fries with asada beef in it. Again it was what we expected. This is a good place to eat, we just weren't WOW'd by what we got. Boyfriend and I went here on a Sunday afternoon for some brunch. I love how they have a vegan menu and everything on it sounds super good. When we arrived we were greeted by a nice lady at the front who handed me the special vegan menu and took the time to explain everything including their specials, drinks, everything. I also liked their little coffee station by the drinks and was pleased to see oat milk in one of the carafes. They also had an assortment of creamers a flavored syrups along with an assortment of teas, including one of my favorites, Stash Peach! The restaurant has a few outdoor seats but there's not really a patio section so we sat inside. The inside decor is pretty cool. The food we thought was so-so. I ordered a vegan burrito and it was mostly all potatoes and a hint of just egg, a hint of impossible sausage, and a thin layer of guacamole. The whole thing was under seasons and the potatoes had very little flavor so the whole burrito tasted like bland potatoes. Even with the salsa, it was still a bit bland. I put a ton of cholula on it, which seemed to enhance things a little bit the burrito as a whole desperately needed seasoning and maybe more of a balance between the potatoes and the other items. Would I come here again? Yes. I'm interested in trying their vegan French toast and some of their other items. You are greeted inside with a large sign telling you to order at the counter before seating ( that was a turn off)) I ordered the California eggs Benedict and sat down. I hope it was just a bad day for them. Tables not wiped down, floor not cleaned. It's a restaurant you order and then find your seating after you order. My food came at least 5 mins before my wife's. They were good at checking on us. Air conditioning - wasn't working - was very hot inside. Presentation of food was superb. Looked delicious and tasted good also. However, once a hair was found in the potato's, we were done. Not sure if it's due to the heat inside that the mimosas were warm. I love going to and supporting locally owned. I think if the owners just made some simple upgrades (small table at from with menus for example - I had to reach over someone paying to grab a menu) - fixed the AC, hair net for the hard working amazing chefs etc, place will be a huge hit. Let's see if owners take note or not. Not to be avoided, I'm sure my experience was just a one off - I hope so! Went here a month ago and had a terrible experience and figured with all the good reviews I'd try it again... let's just say I won't ever be going back. It's terrible service from the start and I swear all of these 5-star reviews have to be faked or bought. Their coffee is "self serve" meaning they'll let you go pump your lukewarm coffee out of a canister that looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. When I asked the lady to make a new pot, she just dumped more coffee into the dirty containers and you could even see a nasty layer of film on the inside of all the equipment they were using, meaning when I finally got a hot cup, it still tasted terrible and had visible particles floating all around in it. Their potatoes were rock-hard little bricks, like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp since last week and then reheated in a microwave for good measure. You literally couldn't stab them with a fork lmao. The rest of the food followed suit, just seemed lukewarm like it'd been under a lamp or sitting in the counter for a while and was put together and played very sloppy. I'm not the type of person to even write reviews but I left the majority of my plate on the table both times because it wasn't good and the whole operation just felt very lazy. read more

The flavors worked so well together. The only thing I needed was some regular Cholula sauce, it wasn't on the table where they had the green Cholula and Tapatio, however I neglected to ask if they even have it. My SO got the Chicken Bacon Chipotle Sandwich and it came with a side of waffle fries. When I tell you my SO is the pickiest french fry person, he ate every single crumb of these fries. Nothing left. They were perfectly crispy and crunchy with delicious seasoning on them and the extra Chipotle sauce they have, absolutely to die for. I'd go back just for the fries and sauce. I was on a weekly lunch date with my mom, so we decided to have brunch here. We have strict dietary restrictions and discovered that they have vegan and vegetarian options! Thanks a bunch! They can make almost everything vegetarian here. The staff was nice, and our server was attentive, but it's not truly a full-service restaurant. You order at the counter and get your own drinks, but they deliver your food. My mom and I got our self-serve coffee, and she ordered the chicken chipotle sandwich, and as a vegetarian, I ordered the Smash breakfast burger with the impossible meat substitute. They were good, and the fries were perfectly cut. My only criticism is that the fries were way too salty! Holy cow! They might want to ease up on the salt. We're aging Yelp reviewers, and some of us already have high cholesterol. LOL. I was going to give them 4 stars but bumped it up to 5 because they provide complimentary flavored coffee syrups and flavored creamers. Thanks A Brunch is located in the southwest quandrant off of McQueen and Guadelupe roads in Mesa. Obviously, it is a brunch kitchen. But its food is so tasty you will want to try it any time they are open. The location is a new spot, having just opened in October. I call the decor "home spring fresh" for the GenX women and younger tastes who like the look of bathroom homeyness with cute, dried flower vases to mark your order number. It's all very warm and comforting, but still serious enough to be a restaurant. The food, as I said, is special and worth a visit. My first meal at Thanks A Bunch was the Hollan-daze in Phoenix Burger, an acclaimed award winning version of a bacon cheese burger. This was absolutely excellent - the best burger I have had in the last 15 years. The next day, I had the Classic Breakfast Burrito, which was surprisingly fresh, savory, and delightful. On another visit, I tried the Smash Breakfast Burger, which was a delicious collage of flavors, including the delightful egg that compliments the smashed crispiness of the burger edges. Finally, the last entrée I tried was the Green Chili Breakfast Tacos, which were another homerun. No matter your interest, if you like vibrant flavors that are served fresh and hot with unique and wonderful taste, you will love Thanks A Brunch. Prices are reasonable, and the menu is focused but extensive for a brunch pallet. The staff is absolutely wonderful, helpful and kind.
