Horrible customer service, horrible food, and horrible atmosphere. When we were ordering the person kept trying to multi task and failing. From taking calls to taking orders to boxing up togo orders without pausing our conversation, they would literally just walk away, they kept forgetting where we were in our process; I legit told them my name and order 3 times. When we finally got our food, about 25 mins, it was cold, which they begrudgingly fixed, but temp doesn't change taste. 2 stars because they made us feel like a burden, which was a feeling seemed to be shared by the 6 other people in the restaurant, out of the box food and, because cleanliness and comfort in the furnishings and general area was forgotten. #Fail read more

Same question as other folks...why they rated low? I mean, okay not great at service. But really not a deal breaker for me - it is not like it was horrible service. We walked in on a Saturday night and were kindly greeted and sat immediately. They came to take our order super fast and the food was on the table within 5 minutes of ordering! They asked about our preferred spice level and got it just right. I prefer non spicy food and they made it perfectly. The Tom Ka soup, garlic chicken, and masaman curry were all excellent. My favorite part of the entire meal was their adorable little son who was being an amazing helper and helping mom and dad serve the customers. Of course I had to give him his own dollar tip for being so adorable and hard working. We will definitely be returning here on our next visit to Seattle. read more

My boss ordered us delivery from here. The order was ready fast and came in these convenient, small plastic containers. I ordered phad khee mao. The chicken had an odd mystery meat texture, and the portion was fairly small (though the lunch special price was decent at $9). The fish had mushrooms, which was a first for me. The service was BAD as usual at this place. The waitress ignores you and pretend they don't see you when you need something. There was hair in the drink also. We tried asking for a napkin but after being ignored 3 times walking past us, we just got up and grabbed one ourselves. Then the waitress walked over and told us we can't do that, and took that napkin back and continued to ignore us! Then when the bill came, the store manager (a guy) probably felt that we did not like her service, so they added a mandatory 18% tip to the bill for a party of 2. We were confused and checked the menu, which said they will only add it for parties of 6 or more. We asked the manager and the manager informed us that they now have a new policy and will add that mandatory tip to all bills, and the menu is outdated. So we checked the bill from other tables, and none of them have the mandatory tip added to theirs (pictures attached for proof). When challenged, the manager said the machine is acting up and randomly adds it to some customers, but we check many more bills and none of them have it added. Don't go to this restaurant. Not only is the service horrible to begin with, they will slap you with mandatory tip if they ever feel that you think their service is bad. Their manager also has the audacity to lie to your face, and then pretend they don't know english when they don't want to talk to you. read more

Not the best Thai food I've eaten so it was super disappointing. I ordered the Shower Green and the Peanut sauce was questionable, I asked for 4 stars but it was sweet not peanutty and t didn't taste like a 2 star spice. The garlic lover sauce looked like congealed chicken fat and didn't taste like garlic at all, the broccoli didn't seem to be steamed either. The pad woonsen seemed to be closer to what I'm accustomed but the glass noodles were glomped together so we cut them with a spoon to eat. sad because my friend just moved to the neighborhood. read more

Wed Jan 13, 2021 Ordered a Pad Thai Noodle Dish, and 1/2 Garlic Roast Duck for $25.  The Pad Thai was as expected, but portion was small.   The Roast Duck was a criminal offense.  The "1/2" consisted of 3/4 cup of mostly bones and skin.  The rest of the bowl consisted of the toughest parts of white cabbage, and oodles of broccoli!  -- FOR $25. IT WAS FALSE, MISLEADING ADVERTISING.  I called the establishment to work things out, but of course with all who do such wrong things, it said that was the way it was. Thai Thani - SLU. I wish I could give them 0 stars. Found meat in all of my orders when I had repeatedly asked not to add any meat and go with Tofu option. I'm allergic to meat and always makes sure that the order receiver gets this clear. The restaurant was not apologetic when I went back to show them what they had done and this is just horrendous and extremely unprofessional. I'd recommend avoiding this place if you don't want to land up in a similar situation. Not sure why the reviews are so bad, because we had a lovely experience at this restaurant. We came as a group of six after work, and were the only ones in the restaurant, which might have seemed like a bad sign, but really just meant that we were provided with extremely quick service. Our food came out within ten minutes of us ordering, and within a few minutes of each other. I chose the green curry with tofu and white rice, with a spice level of 3 out of four. It was a perfect level of spiciness, and the curry was flavorful and had a good balance of curry sauce to vegetables. I found that I ended up having more rice at the end than curry to balance it out, though this may be because I can never have enough vegetables in my curry. Overall, a delicious meal with great service and company. For Thai food near the Amazon offices, it was definitely a great option, but for lunch I'd stop by a food truck instead simply for the lower price and even quicker service. There was also an automatic 18% gratuity added to our check, probably as a result of us coming in a large group. read more

I went here for lunch and found that their card machine was down. We had enough cash to cover it so we decided to try it out. I ordered the pad kee mao (thick noodles) and found it to be too salty and sweet. Instead of using better ingredients they try to compensate by using more salt and sugar. The portions were also small, but I suppose that worked out better for me since I didn't want to eat it all. They were losing a lot of business because a lot of people in the SLU area only have cards and no cash. Thai Thani is on my regular lunch rotation since I work walking distance from them. They offer great lunch specials for $9.00 and food is always delicious. I LOVE their Tom Kha, I just wished they would actually listen to special requests. I always ask for extra mushrooms but never ever get them. Their spice level is pretty on point, if you order a spice level 4 be prepared because you will be getting some spicy food. I haven't ever had a bad experience or a bad meal here. read more

Aside from the weird layout that makes it hard to get in/out of your table, Thai Thani needs much work on its services. My friend ordered Thai iced coffee and the waiter completely forgot her drink. We actually had to asked for drinks twice to get it. They also got the order wrong. On that same visit, my friend ordered tofu fried rice but got the chicken fried rice instead. Luckily, she's not a vegetarian, so to save time, she just ate the chicken version instead. The food portion was also quite small. I got Pad See Ew and the noodles were also a bit runny with too much liquid/sauce. I also wonder how much crowd they get in the evening/weekends. I also hope this place can keep up with rent and is able stay open in the area. Came here for lunch on a weekend and the place was empty. Location is near a bunch of amazon buildings and not too many apartments so that may explain the lack of customers. Service was very quick and so polite. Every time I took a sip of my water they had my glass full again in no time. Food arrived very quickly as well. (+1 Star for the service!) The food was standard Thai food, nothing too exciting but we thought it was good (Average food = Average 3 Stars). I got the Pad See Ew and my boyfriend got the Yellow Curry, both with 3 stars spice and it was perfect for us. As with most places in this area, the menu cost was more expensive than what you'd find elsewhere. 12-15 dollars per dish or around 20 for a meat entree. Would I come back? HOW have none of the reviews mentioned the roti yet. It's the best thing on the menu...so delicious, it almost melts in your mouth. Plus, not a lot of other places to get roti around here. Food was good BUT can't stand the service. The waitress didn't ask me for water refill (not because the restaurant was busy, literally there was no one there), they didn't ask me if i want my curry spicy (which is very important), they gave me the check WHILE i was still chewing on my rice&curry, didn't say thank you after i gave my check or leaving. Wandered out to this spot for a work lunch, and it's definitely a large space with plenty of seating. I will say that the food all looked amazing and no one's orders seemed lacking in portion or taste. Our server was definitely not having her best day, checking on us barely enough and food came out in shifts so we did awkwardly sit and stare at ours until more of the table finally had theirs. Splitting the check seemed like the nail in the coffin for us with a very unenthusiastic response from her, and there was just enough 'off' about the experience that was just a bit strained and awkward. I did have a slightly spoiled stomach about an hour later though I won't venture to say the food was the cause, but it may very well could've been. Best of luck to you if you're trying to grab a table or place a to-go order during the lunch period (11am - 1pm) on the weekdays. This place gets PACKED! I was hoping we would get lucky and get seated right away but as soon as we walked in the doors we knew it would be a stretch. Ultimately we opted to place a to-go order. We ordered 2 pad see ew's and one Thai iced tea. It took half an hour to get our order from the time my credit card was swiped. If I want to eat here in the future, I'll have to call in ahead of time or place the order through Eat24. Our food was good, but I was surprised it did not come with a side of rice. I also asked for mushrooms to be added to my order -- didn't realize that it cost an extra $1.50! Not worth it considering how few mushrooms were in the dish itself. Bottom Line - Unlike my other reviews that are based on the food alone, this review is based on the ridiculous process of picking up online pre-paid orders, and the rudeness of the staff about it. It is a shame that the quality of the employees does not match the quality of the food. I ordered lunch on Friday, 15 September 2017, via the online ordering tool. I entered my payment information and received the confirmation online. I then walked to the restaurant, and went up to the counter where all the to-go orders were bagged and ready for pickup. I see the bag with my name and order on it; perfect! But the rude gal working behind told me to queue with all of the people who were waiting to order. WHAT?!?!?! I stood in the queue for 20 minutes while other people were placing their orders and processing their payments. All the while, I saw my bag of hot food sitting on the counter just getting colder by the minute. The whole point of ordering and paying online is to save time. Thai Thani needs to re-think their process, because I am pissed off that I now have luke-warm food, and it is 100% the restaurant's fault. We will see if this situation occurs again... read more

I don't think my meal was 5 star worthy but the party I was with sure did. They loved their food and drinks! Social distancing measures are in place while dining in.
