My favorite Thai food. Their Tom Kha is the best I've ever tasted. Exceptionally creamy and flavorful. Love their pad Thai and curries as well. Have not been disappointed by a dish yet. It also doesn't break the bank, and most dishes are right around the same price. They also really know how to spice things up, so ordering a 4-5 star dish will actually be pretty damn hot. The portion size is good--classic where I can eat the whole thing if I'm really hungry, otherwise it definitely is good for 2 servings! :) 2 stars wasn't too spicy, so if your spice tolerance is mild-good and you like spice, i'd suggest 3 stars for sure. My only critique was that it was a lil more oily than i'm use to, but still delicious! It seems this restaurant's customer base is largely takeout-- there were no dine ins when we were there (I don't remember seeing if there were actually places to sit tbh) IMO pad see ew is the same in most places. I do think this place's spice scale is a little higher (I always get 3 stars/medium and this one seemed a bit spicier than other places I've been to). I also felt it was a little less flavorful than what I've had from other takeout restaurants. We ordered the panang curry and cashew chicken meals which came with veggie pad Thai and salad. - the curry was great! Although i don't think you can mess up this popular curry dish - cashew chicken was delicious and i had ask for medium spice which to me was not that spicy. Maybe i should opt for spicy next time. I do wish it had more cashews to this meal but the sauce was great! - veggie pad thai... this dish was the most unique one of them all. I've had plenty of pad Thais before however the sauce on this was not the same as other place. It was on the sweeter side -- almost taste like it had fish sauce poured over it. It was not my favorite i will say. This place is Covid cautious and street parking. We ended up parking behind the restaurant within a neighborhood zone. The best Thai food I've had in the city. They've made it so I can't go anywhere else! The crab rangoons and kyoza seem to be made in house and are delicious. I always get the chicken pad Thai and the beef pad see ew. Super tasty. Their peanut sauce is top tier. My friend got the crab fried rice when we went in, and that was good too. They also have a really yummy Thai iced tea. I usually get take out, which I believe is the majority of their business, but when I dined in once, the service was really good too. I really liked the flavor of the pad thai! It was a little different than what I'm used to but it was delicious, also I had a big piece of egg and I'm not going to lie it was fried to smitherines but the flavor?!?! The frickin flavor made my eyes big lol. Now the rangoons were STUFFED to the gills! I've never had a better stuffed Rangoon! However due to my taste buds I couldn't finish them lol I tasted a hint of cilantro somewhere which I just can't do cilantro- but if you can I bet you would LOVE these! Panwa Thai is on 12th near Seattle University. With lots of Asian eateries and restaurants within a two block distance, Panwa Thai competes perfectly well vs. the many other options. Definitely glad I found this place. I arrived after 2pm on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised their lunch menu runs to 3pm. So it's easier to have multiple meals and try different things if you so choose. Our food: Yellow Curry with Chicken - Lunch size served with rice Spicy green beans with non-fried tofu - Dinner size, rice included Pad Thai with non-fried tofu - Dinner size, rice not included Their pad thai is the traditional 'brown' version, not the Americanized 'red' version. It was another Uber Eats night. We ordered the avocado green curry, panang curry, spring rolls, and kyoza. For the curries, we went with the lowest spice and white jasmine rice. Our order was prepared super fast. The food was amazing. The green curry had super large chunks of avocado on top and plenty of veges and chicken... just how we like it. The spring rolls were among the best we've ever had. The panang, kyoza, and rice were also perfectly cooked. Only minor complaints were the spiciness of the curries and the dipping sauce for the kyoza. I wanted no spice or the mildest spice but both curries still had me sweating. The dipping sauce wasn't my cup of tea but the kyoza was flavorful enough to eat by itself. Overall, definitely a great place and we will certainly order from here again. read more

This is my new go-to Thai spot. The food is so delicious, very consistent, and good prices! I've only ordered to-go -- delivery through Uber Eats or pickup through the restaurant website. I recommend the latter if you can, you'll save a ton on fees and the restaurant online ordering platform is very nice. I've only had the pad Thai and curry pineapple fried rice for mains, both are so good I haven't wanted to branch out yet, but I'm sure the other items are good to. My friend and I ordered for to-go and we ordered Pad Kee Mao (5*) with Pork and Red Curry (3*) with Beef. They were both a solid 4.5/5. The 5* was actually decently spiced compared to other Thai restaurants I have been to. The Red Curry was a really good combination with the Pad Kee Mao. I personally ordered the Thai coffee and it was alright; maybe a 3/5 since I have had better. Definitely recommend this place! read more

Came here last night after a workshop at The Works Seattle. My friend was craving Thai. I was trying to stay away from carbs should of got lower stars so I wouldn't eat my rice but I had to have a little and I like spicy. Originally was going to go with the salmon panang but they didn't have any salmon. Loves the flavor of my curry with basil. Three stars was exactly what I expected nice kick but not so much that it took away from the flavor. Veggies were fresh and chicken plentiful. They forgot my friend's mango juice but quickly brought after he reminded them and they were apologizes more than once. Let me tell you about the this Thai spot. So this is my first stop here in my visit to Seattle. I came in, one person was dining, slow and quite location. We were greeted immediately! They had the dinning area blocked off but allowed us in. As I pull out the chair and take a seat. The chair from underneath near just gives out! No lie, I was laying on my back and the chair alllll 4s laying out. Like splat!!! You ever seen that move Shallow Hal, yeah that's how I felt. "Jesus Christ! What the hell's wrong with this chair? What's this shit made out of, anyway?!" With that being said. We ordered the prawn pad Thai, Yellow Prawn Curry and two Thai teas. The Pad Thai was on point, thin noodles, smokey flavor but when it cooled down it became sweet!! The Yellow Curry was delicious. The curry was full of flavor and with a little kick! Probably one of my top 10 curries of all time...top diez!! The Thai tea were okay. I got the bill and too Ku amaze, no discount lol I know I know I shouldn't be expecting a discount but y'all gave me a faulty chair!!! After y'all had me like Ezal from Friday on the ground!!! Ima keep this short and sweet for an important PSA - get the crab friend rice. I ordered 5+ dishes from this place for company catering, and the food was pretty decent for the most part. Crab Fried Rice - GET THIS. For the price and the amount you get and the amount of crab proportioned with the fried rice, it's well worth it. Pad Thai - Wasn't very flavorful to me and felt a bit dry. Pad See Ew - Good sauce amount, noodles had good texture yummy overall. Yellow Curry - Wasn't my favorite. Kinda bland flavor? Usually one of my favorite types of curry, but wasn't a huge fan of it here. Overall, pretty meh/standard Thai food in my opinion, but I really enjoyed the crab friend rice so upped a star :) read more

Ordered dinner for takeout and was really really happy to finally find my thai takeout joint in Seattle. Since there is so many it is hard to compete but I think this place is better than the ones I have tried this past year. We ordered the yellow curry, beef pad thai, spring rolls, and thai teas. We had medium spice for both entrees and I will say that they food definitely has a kick so if you cannot handle good spice do not get medium. The curry was really flavorful and the chicken was soft and tender I would definitely order this again. The beef pad thai was ok the beef was dried out and tough though, however we did order 30 mins before the restaurant closed so this made some sense. They offer a reasonable lunch special. I usually order ahead for pickup and it's ready within 10 minutes. If you get takeout the food will be room temperature fairly fast (including the curry) , but it reheats fairly well. read more

My girlfriend and I are what one might call Thai Cuisine Connoisseurs. This Thai place blew us out of the water. We ordered the Crab Wontons (8.95), Pad See Ew (13.95), and Panang Curry (13.95). The crab wontons were amazing: the batter on them seas crispy and light, it was a bit strong on cream cheese (which I love), but be aware if you aren't a fan of cream cheese. The pad see ew was wonderful as well, there was the perfect ratio of vegetables, noodles, and meat and had all the classic flavors of this dish. The panang curry really stole the show for us, though. It was so creamy and delicious with so much meat and the perfect spices for me. The peppers were very fresh and crispy and it even came with complimentary jasmine rice (unlike most Thai restaurants). My wife and I decided we were in the mood for some Thai food the other night and couldn't decide where we wanted to order delivery from. Lots of great option, especially since the International District is in our delivery zone. We landed on Panwa and I'm so glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Panang Curry and the Thai Style Rice while my wife ordered the Crab Wonton and Pad Kee Mao. I stole a crab wonton from her to verify it's deliciousness and it was delicious. The curry had just the right amount spice (the star level match the flavor) and the absolutely adored the Friend Rice. My wife really enjoy the tastiness of the Pad Kee Mao and it's on her "must have" list from now on. I definitely recommend giving this place a try. I had been here before and the food was tasty and service was good but I stopped in yesterday with a friend of mine and right off the Bat, the waiter seemed distracted and was extremely rude. The food was very salty but we didn't want to make it a big deal. She forgot to bring out our Thai tea and when reminded she got annoyed. She was rude when we asked for a bigger to go box. We needed separate checks so we politely asked and she was rude. The cherry on top is when we signed the check and did not tip her because her service was terrible. And she chased us down and made us aware that we didn't tip her and that we needed to tip her before we left. The waitress stood there until we did. Set in the heart of Seattle University, this restaurant scores major points with top notch cuisine, super reasonable prices, ideal location and a service staff that will make you smile with their friendliness, speed and courtesy! I stopped in on a whim after reading a few reviews. I have typically found the best cuisine - especially ethno-centric cuisine, in the smaller restaurants in neighborhoods and small university areas. This holds true here. Menu for lunch has a good variety - I went for the combinations that are all $8.95 with a $1 upcharge foe jasmine rice (I love jasmine rice). I asked the server her favorite and she told me her husband loves Combo B with chicken and peanut. Sold. Spicy? I went 3 on a scale of 5 and could have gone 5 but didn't want to risk it. The food came out fast and hot - perfection and plenty of it. My water glass never got more than 1/2 empty and I walked out for $15 including a $4 tip. It also didn't feel like a whole lot of tofu. The chicken pad thai was really bad. Super sweet, and the noodles were all stuck together. Barely touched it. Too bad.
