This was our second visit to Thai Table. My son and I love spicy Thai food and this spot does not disappoint. This time I had the Bankok Noodles, which had shrimp and mussels with flat noodles and a spicy sauce. My son had the BBQ pork noodle soup with wontons. I am so happy to find out this place exists, because good Thai is hard to come by in StL. If you are seeking traditional tasty Thai cuisine, this is the spot! We came in for a lunch last on a Friday, (location is right on the main strip in Maplewood, so just park at the old Shop N Save) and were greeted by a friendly server and sat immediately. We both ordered a drink, jasmine tea and one Thai tea. Served very promptly Once we both decided on our meals, we ordered off the lunch specials menu, the food came out so quickly we were a bit suspicious.... Thai Table was our choice for Saturday night takeout. We both got Pad Thai, so can't speak to many of the items on the menu, but we liked what we got! The portions were generous, the service was good, and the quality was pretty good as well. The one thing I would change was the tofu in the dish- it was a bit oily and tough. There was an hour wait for pick-up, so order in advance if you plan to go this route. Shows that it is a popular spot though! TL:DR - Great food that really just melts into one amazing experience. Interior is obviously a converted office. My new go to thai spot in stl. Wow wow wee wow! This place is amazing. It's nearby and has great reviews, so had to try it out. My new go to thai place in St. Louis. It's sad that a place like this isn't a dime a dozen in St. Louis. But they're not. So. after 3 Sunday lunches in a row here, I have started telling people this is pretty much the only Thai restaurant worth going to in stl. I mean maybe there's something out in Florissant? but I haven't had a chance to go that far for Thai food yet, and I shouldn't have to! The restaurant claims to be authentic and does not go out of the way to American tastes, but I mean if you are familiar with thai-american food from any of the sad excuses around town, it's not so different other than the fact that things are like.... actually seasoned! Actual presence of curry paste in curries. You know, the basics. I actually don't mind that no one asks how spicy you want something - I got unapologetically spiced yum woon sen and aggressively sour tom yum noodle soup, and their tableside chili oil actually packs a pretty hefty kick. Pad ka prow, verging on salty until you eat it with rice - then it's perfect! I mean to me this is like perfect Thai-American corner restaurant food. It's all the dishes most people have heard of, still suited more for American tastes in comparison imo, just ...like... cooked by people who respect their customers? There are still some kinks like with pricing and availability I feel like... and not every dish is a home run like their slightly bland grilled pork and char siu. But most of the things we had are good! THE most important thing to me is that they're not just unashamedly phoning it in... They're new and I feel like they genuinely are asking how we like the food, and there is care and pride in the food that I've eaten. There are already plenty of good Thai restaurants in St. Louis, but this one still manages to stand out from the rest. How fortunate for Maplewood to have their first Thai restaurant - one I would describe as a delightful experience with flavors that pack a punch. Thai Table is located in a plaza next to the Escape Room. The space is very clean, open, and bright in the daytime. The service is good; however, I was the only one in the restaurant when I placed my order. The number of items on the menu might be overwhelming to someone not too familiar with Thai food, but luckily there are photos above each item to assist with the decision-making. I ordered the following: 1. Crab Rangoon Rolls: Came out piping hot so perhaps wait a few minutes before digging in. The filling only had cream cheese (on the sweeter side) and nothing else. Comes with a sweet Thai chili sauce. 2. Summer Rolls: Got the vegetarian ones, but you can add shrimp for an additional charge. The sauces were the star. The peanut sauce was served warm, and it was creamy, not overly nutty, and not too sweet. The other was what I believe is a Thai chile-herb sauce. It had quite a kick of heat and perfect acidity. I devoured both sauces! 3. Wing Zabb: Nice crunchiness of the skin. Loved the marinade and dry rub. It was well-seasoned with a nice subtle lime flavor and perfect amount of salt, as well as other spices used. 4. Pot Stickers: Crisp outside, juicy inside. I recommend adding chili oil to the pot sticker sauce for more flavor and spice. 5. Spaghetti Pad Kee Mao: It may look plain but it's quite flavorful and has a good spice. The noodles are to my liking. 6. Tom Yum Noodle Soup: I only know of one other Thai restaurant in St. Louis that has similar stock and adds ground chicken & crushed peanuts to the soup; I'm glad Thai Table does this. This soup has a good balance and sourness to it. I only wish it comes with more seafood other than fish and shrimp balls. 7. Bua Loi: Served warm. The coconut milk was not too sweet. The rice flour almost melts in your mouth, with small chunks of taro inside. Very delicious! There were no items that I regret ordering. All were satisfactory to taste, and I'm actually contemplating going back for round two on the same day as I write this. It made that much of an impression on me. I was counting down the days for Thai Table to open on my neighborhood! I love Thai food and was ready to try someone other than my go to regulars. Thai Table doesn't disappoint! The styling of the restaurant doesn't look like much but the flavor of the food doesn't disappoint! I started with a Thai iced tea that was inexpensive and served in a large mug, delicious. I followed that with ordering a red curry lunch special. I only deducted one star from my review because they didn't bring the included appetizer of the day with my lunch special but I had a big portion so I didn't really need it in the end. Checked out this new Thai place for an early dinner the other night. We started with crab rangoon and spring rolls. Both of these apps were pretty good. The crab rangoon was different in that it was in the shape of a tube. Still yummy but not a ton of filling because of the shape. The spring rolls were light and tasty and the dipping sauces served with them really elevated the flavor in a good way. For dinner I had Pad Kra Pow, which is pictured, and it was incredibly tasty. A little spicy but overall very delicious. The restaurant was dead while we were in there so we received impeccable service. So happy we came upon this restaurant tucked away along Manchester in Maplewood. It was truly delicious. I had the Panang Curry with tofu. Plenty of tofu and peppers, although I wish the sauce had been just a bit thicker. My mate had the Pad Prik Pow with chicken that was also delightful. The star of the show however, was the Crab Rangoon rolls. A slight twist from the traditional (oftentimes oily) crab rangoon wantons, these little rolls were neatly wrapped, perfectly crispy, not oily and had just the right amount of filling. Enjoyed my first visit to Thai Table. I'm doing a Keto-ish eating plan and the online menu looked somewhat accommodating so we met my daughter and future son-law there for dinner. At first I ordered the Green Curry entree(Ghang Kiev Wan) and I asked the waitress if there was any added sugar and she said no. But after taking our order, she returned with a small sampling of the sauce and said the cook told her there was a small amount of sugar and he wanted me to try it to make sure it wasn't too sweet. I thought that was great service. I opted for the atom Kha Kai (coconut milk soup) and the Tom Yum Kung (hot and sour shrimp soup) - level 3 on spiciness. And they were outstanding. Very spicy. No sugar. My husband and daughter order pad Thai (my daughter has a gluten allergy so this was perfect for her). And they loved their food. My 11-year-old wanted plain chicken fried rice. Her order is the only reason I'm not giving the restaurant a 5 star review. They said they could do a smaller portion because they have no kids menu - but the smaller portion is only $1 less and it's way too big for a kid. Every food is great, especially Pad Thai. I like Pad Thai Shrimp. It looks like I eat at a famous restaurant in Thailand. Pad Kee Mao and Pad See Ew are also delicious. I like the smokey smell and the taste of the noodle. Somtum, Lab Kai, Nam Tok, Pad Kra Pow, Tom Kha Kai, Tom Yum, noodle soup, all kinds of curry, and all kinds of stir-fried things are very very good, too. So, I cannot order everything at one time. I loved my meal from here! I ordered take out and got the pad Thai with tofu and the summer roll with shrimp. First off, any place that lets you pick your spice level, is my kind of place. I ordered a 3 out of five. It was milder than i expected so next time, i will be getting a 4. It wasn't too oily and i added broccoli for $.50. Overall, the price was 11$ for a big portion. It was just a plate of clearl thin noodles stir fried with some vegetables and chicken. The sauce they used on this dish wasn't that impressive. I know other reviewers had different opinion about this dish (that was why I ordered it :( I was happy with my Tom Kha Gai, the sweet and sour coconut milk soup. My friend had Massaman Beef and Thai tea. The dish was fairly authentic and the curry had an authentic taste. The restaurant was very modern and clean. However, due to the wide open dining room, it was very noisy place to have a conversation. Very good Thai restaurant. This was my fourth time visiting and our second time eating in the dining room. After we were seated, they brought out a couple free potstickers for the table which was a nice surprise. We decided not to eat from the lunch menu this time and just went with our favorite Nam Tok Beef: nice portion of charbroiled spicy beef strips in a lime, cilantro, red onion and rice powder dressing that is just fantastic! Served with an iceberg chunk (meh-I think romaine or asian cabbage or variety of vegetables would have been nicer) and shredded carrot as well as an adorable steamer pot of sticky rice (mine was "oversteamed" this visit, however, and was almost impossible to eat). On other occasions, standouts are the Tom Kha soup (I get vegetarian version because their chicken had been overcooked/dry on other visits). Their Tom Kha is the best version of this soup I have tried since moving back from Houston. Creamy coconut broth base is nice and spicy, tender mushrooms, citrus notes: divine. We also love the Spring rolls/Summer rolls and the curries are great! Everything i have tried is consistently good here and service is good too. I order medium spice level on everything I get here where that is an option. Medium is still pretty spicy. Despite the great taste of the food, there is always something that keeps me from giving a 5 star review. They are pretty skimpy with vegetables, rice, and garnishes; the dining room itself is not very appealing and loud, high price for the type of food; meats and rice are sometimes overcooked; to-go orders have had some issues with forgotten sides/rice. [I wish they offered condiment trays for the table with lime wedges, cucumbers, cilantro, crushed peanuts, fish sauce, soy sauce and hot pepper to customize your food here like they do in many other Thai places.] What they do well is authentic Thai flavors. The noodle dishes were perfectly made and not greasy. You are able to order spice level 1-5 for the dishes. We ordered a spice level 1 and it gave the pad thai a nice kick. Level 2 would have been a bit too much. We ordered the beef pad see ew with a 0 spice level. It was very good. The thai teas were a good size and added a balance of sweetness to the meal. The gentleman who took our order was also the one who brought our food curbside. He approached our car to confirm we placed the order. We didn't have to make a call. He was extremely friendly and pleasant. I would recommend this place. They are very accommodating and food was great. There is 2 hour parking along the street. Occasion: International Supper Club The good: Cute place, servers did a bang-up job considering we were a party of 11 and required a custom check arrangement. Had fried tofu and chicken satay appetizers - both were yummy, although the tofu was a bit overpriced for the serving size (I'll get to that later.) Pad Se Ew with tofu is my go to for new Thai restaurants, and TT's did not disappoint. Even though I ordered it mild, it was at the top end of my spicy tolerance so beware if you're a wimp like me. The tofu was nicely cooked, the veggies were soft, lots of egg (favorite part), and noodles were obviously fresh. Portion size was more than adequate for the price. For dessert, tried the thai custard with sticky rice. It was kind of like a flan over sticky rice served warm but with a predominant coconut flavor. I liked it! The Meh: $5 for three sticks of deep fried tofu with the typical sauce and a small dish of cucumber salad didn't seem really reasonable. Although they did a good job of handling our group, they chose to tack on a 20% gratuity and left it up to us to notice. Yes!!! I think this is my new favorite Thai restaurant... or maybe it's tied (haha) with Addie's Thai House for my favorite. In any case, I'll be coming here more often because it's closer, even though the food is on par with Addie's. My spouse and I came here at around 1 PM on a Saturday and we were seated right away. My usual go to is green curry when I eat at a new Thai place, but I've been craving noodles lately, so I got their pad woon sen with pork. It uses glass noodles (thin clear noodles) and comes with copious amounts of pork and veggies (onions, red and green bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, bean sprouts, egg, and even two cherry tomatoes). I've never had tomatoes in a Thai dish before and it surprised me how well it works! The onions were cooked perfectly - just a slight crunch when biting down but not so raw that your eyes water. What stood out was the flavor of the dish. There was some white pepper and some kind of other spice/spices that was savory and sooo delicious. It tasted vaguely familiar but neither myself or my husband could identify it. When he asked the server about it, she said it was a special sauce that the chef uses (I guess it's a secret). Whatever it is, I could've eaten 5 plates of the pad woon sen! I also got a Thai tea, of course. This is my favorite Thai tea in St. Louis! The flavor of the tea is very prominent and they give you a lot of it. The price is very affordable. The pad woon sen was around $10 and the Thai tea was around $3.
