First time at Thai Table after getting some recommendations. Currently, they do not have indoor seating and everything is call-in and take-away. It's a bit confusing because you're not sure when to get the food. I'm not sure if they'll text you when your order is complete. If you do come, make sure to order ahead of time because it takes upwards of 30 minutes for the order to get ready. - Pad Kee Mao (Spicy Druken Noodles) - The noodles were a bit too salty for my taste. Other than that, the flavor was spot on and I really appreciate how many ingredients they place in the noodles. - Ghang Kiew Wan (Green Curry) - The curry was okay, wasn't particularly flavorful which I was a little bit disappointed about. I have tried this place three times for take out. The first time the food was tasty but they left the shrimp out of my spring rolls even though I paid extra for meat. Second take out order was good. Yesterday was our third take out and while they remembered the shrimp in the spring roll, it was quite undercooked. It's not sushi....this is a spring roll and it was near raw and rubbery. No good. This is a take out review. I wasn't disappointed but also is not a place of be running back to. The crispy spring rolls were good but the summer rolls lacked a lot of flavor. Absolutely amazing food the pork dumplings were magical. We got the authentic pad Thai with chicken and it's the best I've had in stl. Most places it too salty or has too many peanuts but theirs is so creamy and cozy. Since my last visit years ago, the food quality has improved and the portion size has definitely grown. Our entrees were impressive! We got a papaya salad, the shrimp rolls, Pad Thai, and Pad See Ew. The shrimp rolls could have been more flavorful and both entrees needed more sauce. We loved the fried tofu chunks in both entrees, though! The prices were great. Our service was attentive but a bit rushed-- the waiter was serving the entire restaurant. Thai Table is a delightful addition to the Maplewood restaurant scene. It's in a inconspicuous space on Manchester, so look for the Escape Room and you'll find Thai Table. They actually share a main door then you go through a second door for either business. When I first heard of TT, I thought it was going to be a order at the counter and carry-out restaurant with perhaps a few tables for those who choose to eat in. Yes, they do a lot of carry-out business, but to my surprise they offer table service for those who want to dine in and it is very friendly and attentive. I started my experience with Crab Rangoon. The menu stated it was made with spicy cream cheese and they were not kidding. I really liked that it had that little extra kick. They were served to my table so piping hot, I had to take a pause to let them cool down. They were delicious, so I am looking forward to trying the Spring Rolls on my next visit. My entree, Pad Kee Mao with beef was extremely impressive. I choose spice level, medium and still felt the slight burn in the back of my throat. Don't get me wrong, that is a good thing. I enjoyed this dish more then I did the exact same dish at a Thai restaurant downtown last week. This dish did not have the plate presentation of the downtown restaurant, but it exceeded on flavor. The presentation here was more like your friends mom or your favorite aunt is in the kitchen and was filling your bowl. They want to make sure you have plenty to eat and it was scooped up with love. The ambiance is minimal. Most of the walls are bare and one wall had many-be four pictures. There's nothing fancy about this place at all. The prices are totally affordable, you're not paying for ambiance in addition to the food. As stated early on, the table service was friendly and attentive. The young lady was served me, asked me questions to make sure I was ordering what I actually was craving. She also, followed up with couple of visits to make sure I was enjoying my meal. I've only been here twice at this point, but each experience has been pleasant. The decor is simple and clean, nothing too tacky that screams "THIS IS A THAI PLACE". I've seen the same two servers the two times I've been here, and the service has always been good and friendly. Here are some items I have tried: Pad Kra Pow - I enjoyed this, but I found it to be quite spicy. My mouth was on fire towards the end of the meal. Pad Woon Sen - Really good dish. There's this flavor that's really familiar that I can't place. I asked the server what it was, but she told me it was a secret sauce. Pad Thai - This had a different flavor than I was used to. Nothing bad, I enjoyed it. It was on the sweeter side. Thai Tea - Some of the best I've had in St. Louis. It has some great tea flavor. My only gripe is the parking situation, but that's nothing on the restaurant. There's a parking lot in the back, that's unclear as to whether or not you can park in it. Parking in the Shop n Save parking lot seems to be like a good option. I'll definitely be back. I have yet to try and other Thai restaurants in St. Louis but did hear this one is one of the best. I had the chicken wings and papaya salad. The wings were good but lacked a little sauce. It would be awesome to get maybe a honey & fish sauce glaze on them. They were deliciously crispy though. The papaya salad was yummy. At my old spot in Oakland, CA they used to throw a little bit of beef jerky on it which I missed. Maybe I will have to bring my own next time! Overall, not bad. Not the best Thai I've had in Saint Louis but definitely not the worst. I've visited Thailand before and the flavors were definitely consistent here. I ordered the Panang with shrimp with a heat level of 3 and fried shrimp. The heat on the Panang was just enough. I like spicy but it wasn't overwhelming. The shrimp had the tail on & the veggies were kind of big. The rice was not sticky enough for me & was a little scorched. A tasty dish overall. The fried shrimp was just ok. Nothing too special. After our delicious meal, we decided to order their Bubble tea... ...but they brought out bubble tea with expired, soggy, and non-chewable Boba. What the frick!!! [Picture looks like it would be good, but do not be deceived]. My friend and I, both, spat out the boba as soon as we drank the bubble tea. How unfortunate because the tea part was drinkable. I was even more surprised that they had the audacity to serve that nastiness and still charge us $6.00 for each of them. How would YOU rate this place? It was clean and well-staffed, though i'd encourage them to paint the walls or something, when the decor was pretty tepid, and the furniture was nice. But the service was very friendly and polite, and it was a cold night when a lot of orders came in. Pad Thai itself was average, could have used some more green onions and was a little congealed. This place is nestled amongst a bunch of restaurants and shops on Manchester Rd, where there's mostly street parking. The restaurant itself feels very open and is a medium size. The service was really quick and our server was really nice! I ordered the crab rangoon, and for some reason I really enjoy crab rangoon when it's wrapped in a spring roll instead of it's traditional form. I just love the crispy texture that comes from the wrap. I also ordered the yellow curry roasted duck, and it was delicious! I love duck in general, and this was roasted where the skin was nice and crisp, and the combination of the sweet curry made it absolutely amazing! Let me start with the good: The order (two entrées and a side) was ready within 20 minutes of ordering online. The portions were quite generous. The price was very good especially compared to other Thai places in the area. They also are only doing curbside pickup at the moment, which makes me feel safe ordering from them. The food definitely hit the spot and lasted me two meals! The not-so-good: I ordered a 2/5 on the spice scale but I might as well have ordered a 0. Nothing that couldn't be remedied with the addition of some sriracha at home, but was still hoping for more of a kick. Also, I added tomatoes to my order, but received exactly 2 small cherry tomatoes in my dish. It's not a huge deal given that it only cost me 50 cents more, but felt super skimpy... my husband also ordered extra broccoli for his Pad Thai and barely had any. Again, not a huge deal since it was only 50 cents extra, but still felt like a shortcut on Thai Table's part. Overall, I liked this place especially for the price point and portions. With the COVID-19 keeping us inside, we decided to take advantage on Friday nights of curbside pick up at some favorites and new restaurants. Our first choice was Thai Table. We were very happy with the portion sizes and deliciousness of the food! Our choices for the evening were: Red Curry, Pad See Ew, and the Chicken Satay. Chicken Satay is delicious. Thai Table's is awesome! It was moist and seasoned to perfection. Our 2 year old son loved it too. My husband loves curry and had nothing bad to say about the Red Curry with pork (we didn't get a picture of it :-(). It was creamy and flavorful. He chose spice level 2 so our son, who likes spicy but still to young for high level spice, could enjoy it too. The Pad See Ew with chicken was good but nothing amazing. The flavor was simple with a good amount of sweetness. It included broccoli and carrot. I also got a lower spice level since I was sharing with our 2 year old but added spice with our Thai chili powder we had in our pantry :-). Between everything we had, the highlight of the meal was the Chicken Satay! The other two choices were good too. If you have yet to visit, Thai Table is worth a trip, pick up, or delivery. I've been to this place in the past year. I really like thai food, and I always come back from time to time. I am greeted with a warm smile as a regular here. 1. The pad thai is delicious. If the pad thai is more on a dry side, you can always ask for more sauce to adjust the dish. This pad thai is distinct because it is less sweet and more savory than most Thai restaurants in Saint Louis. 2. The papaya salad is phenomenal. It's always packed with intense flavor as a result of the marinaded fish sauce used in this dish. The salad includes shredded carrot and grape tomatos, along with shredded papayas drenched in fish sauce. 3. Tom yum noodle soup is delicious too! It is in a large bowl. There are fish balls, ground pork, crispy wonton, and etc inside the bowl. 4. Like any place in Saint Louis, the spice can be adjusted to your liking from 1star to 5 star. 5. Selected this place as a special Valentine's Day dinner for my future wife and we were pleasantly surprised with our experience. The restaurant was very clean (although we did not check the bathroom) and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The staff is very minimal but the person bringing out orders was very efficient and aware of what is needed. Our portions were more than expected and very tasty. At the end, the server even noticed that I had ordered a drink that they did not have and removed it without me having to ask for it. Also, the prices were very reasonable. I enjoyed the appetizers, which is all I had. The Tom Kha soup was tasty but was missing the sweet flavor, which the menu stated having. The coconut broth was spiced to a level 2 out of 5. It was just right for me! If I would change two things about it, it would be to use thigh chicken meat vs. breast meat, which tends to be more tender and to cut back on the chunks of button mushrooms. The Ka Nom Jeep Pork Dumplings were okay, but only after dipping them in a dumpling sauce. It reminded me of a thick molasses sauce. Yum! I'm only giving three stars because I've only tried one menu item. I've tried the pad thai twice... once delivered and one time I came in an ordered. I usually figure if a Thai restaurant has good pad thai they probably have other good items. I cannot say the pad thai is good here. It's super dry with very little tofu (I would say 8-10 pieces). The tofu is under cooked and doesn't really have any sauce on it so it doesn't pick up any of the flavor. This has been my experience both times. Thai Table, it's nice to meet ya'! Last night was my first time coming to Thai Table. I came with a group of Yelp buds for International Supper Club around dinner time. They don't have booze here, so consider hitting up a happy hour before dinner if that's what you're looking for. It wasn't too sweet to taste the tea! You could taste the tea people! That's rare, y'all. For apps, Julia R and I shared their crab rangoon and fried potstickers. Both delicious. Pretty standard, but clutch. Then, for mains we shared green curry and pad see ew. We got both dishes with chicken. They were freaking bomb. I was partial to the pad see ew because it wasn't as spicy as the curry. They said it wasn't going to be spicy, but it did have a pretty serious kick to me, but what can I say... All I have is my weak pallet to blame for that. I also tried my neighbor's pad woon sen. I AM GETTING THAT NEXT TIME. It had glass noodles, warm vegetables, and the flavor was on point.
