Thai Racha is under a new ownership since last month. Now it's called Thai Racha by Biddy. After seeing all the good reviews recently. I was excited to check it out myself. The restaurant was cozy and well decor. They played very good music (the owner was used to be manager at The Bao). However, I was sad when none of the items that I saw and wanted to try after reading the reviews weren't on their menu :O When I asked about that, our waitress just said it's for a party that ordered in advance. Service was very pleasant and kind. We did have to wait a bit long for our orders but I understood they were short staffed. Speaking of food, our favorite was their homemade coconut shrimp. It's crispy, not oily and fresh. My kid loved it a lot, so of course we ordered another one. Fried gyoza, and Pad Thai was decent. My least favorite was Thai Boat noodles. The broth was good but the beef/beef meatball were chewy. I wondered why they added arugula and shredded cabbage in the noodles soup, it's not for everyone.... Overall, it was a decent experience. They are still new and their chef decided to go missing without notice... so I understand their struggle. The owner Biddy was really sweet and kind. We loved to support women owned business. Hopefully they will add more Thai dishes on their menu sometimes soon.

My friend and I decided to go here for dinner. We really wanted to like this place but when we arrived, we started to realize that maybe the emptiness of this place was an indication. There were three wait staff, however we were the only two people dining in for a while. The whole time we were there, a couple came to dine in fifteen minutes later and a guy came to order take out. We literally just sat down and right when the waitress handed us the menu she asked us what we wanted to drink. We did not get a chance to look at the menu. I wanted thai ice tea however they did not have this at the time that I went. For the entree i ended up getting their yellow curry dish while my friend got their Thai noodle dish. The two entrees lack more authentic Thai flavors that I was used to so it was pretty bland and my soup is super thin and watery.

We dine at their other location (Thai Rama) in Crystal City very often. This is owned by the same family. We ordered our usual meals that we order at TR, and everything was pretty much the same. Delicious! The location is small, only 7 tables. The service was very quick, and the server is attentive and friendly. The owner came out to welcome us and thank us for dining. It's so nice to have options in the area, and we'll definitely dine here often!

I was passing by Thai Racha (3190 Telegraph Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125) on the way home so I got take-out, on Wed around 12:15 pm. I will preface this by saying I am Thai, though I grew up in the US. I see that this restaurant is owned by a Thai lady who owns Thai Rama in Crystal City that opened in 2010. She is the sister of the owner of the Thai Kitchen chain. I also saw that Thai Racha's focus is on online ordering, carryout & delivery, but using the same menu as their older restaurant. I saw a Thai lady cooking as I was ordering from a lady from a South Asian country. I skimmed the unfortunately poor reviews of their common Thai entrees on Google before I went. Thus I opted to order an appetizer and a House special -- I feel that the latter should only be items the chef is truly good at making (while the rest of the menu may not be). The 1st three House specials are northeastern Thai dishes, so maybe that's where the person who made this menu is from. My father is from northern Thailand so I'm familiar with them. I ordered A2 Thai Spring Roll (1 Roll Cut into 6 pcs) $3.55 Cucumber, carrot, green onion, egg, and tofu wrapped in rice paper. Served with plum sauce and A13 Larb Gai w. Sticky Rice** $20.35 Ground chicken marinated with Thai chili and lime juice, red and green onion, cilantro, served with cabbage I was not impressed by either, esp. not the House special at the price paid. The small spring roll was cut into 6 pcs, yet each piece was too big to be 1 bite, so that made it fall apart when bitten into. The Larb was dry, but the sticky rice was well done. The way to eat it is take a spoon of larb followed by a ball of fresh sticky rice. Larb is a Thai salad, but it's not a vegetable salad, instead it's a meat salad, and a staple dish of Thai Isaan food. You may notice on my receipt that at 12:15 pm I was order #3! Restaurant opened at 11 am. The restaurant was nicely decorated but empty when I arrived; a lady came to pickup her order after I ordered. I will not likely be back. I wonder if the owner is aware of their poor reviews.

The place is basic. Nothing cute or fancy. The staff is super sweet. Menu is interesting. Daughter and I decided to try this place out. They didn't have any drink options except water, Diet Coke and Pepsi in a can. I don't know if they were just out of else that was on the menu but that was disappointing. I got the green curry and she didn't ask me the level so I myself didn't think to even ask. I like mild stuff but this must've been on level 5 bc it was uncomfortably spicy and could barely eat my dish and had to keep asking her for more water and was sweating and she even asked me if it was too spicy and I said yes I didn't think this would be this spicy and not used to it and even tho she was sweet and polite I wasn't offered to remake it a lower level and I'm always scared to send anything back so it was a waste of money bc I could barely eat it and disappointed on drink options listed on the menu but available. I probably won't be back just bc I wasn't thrilled with the menu and bc I'm not usually in this area.

I usually always get take out although I've dined in a couple of times and have always received the best service. The menu is straightforward and has a variety of the staples - from curries, noodles, rice dishes and more. You're allowed to pick from a variety of spice levels which is nice! The street is sorta busy so I usually park near the McDonalds for pickup as it takes only 10-15 minutes for the order to be ready. Highly recommend! Food: 9/10 Price: 10/10 Service: 10/10

I get that this is a Thai restaurant, not Chinese (though it's more Chinese than I am), but Meyou might consider such a policy. I would have benefited from it yesterday. I visited on a Wednesday evening with members of a running group. There were umpteen of us. If we'd been given a single egg roll appetizer, we would have been forced to cut it in tiny pieces and share. I would have been willing to do that, because I'm a confirmed, avowed savage. My reputation precedes me. Arguably, they should give you one free appetizer for every six members of your party. But I digress. Now, where was I? Ah yes, Meyou. I'd describe this place as a somewhat Americanized version of Thai food, based on what little I know from having recently visited Bangkok and eaten in roughly 40 or 50 restaurants, food stalls and what have you over the course of a few days, i.e. not a whole lot. You can get pad thai and various other soups, noodles and curries, along with fried rice, egg rolls, crab rangoon and chicken wings. It's got a little something for everyone. Do they charge you $0.25 for extra soy sauce? Can you call up and try to harangue them into giving you a free order of crab rangoon by claiming that they shorted you the last time you were there, knowing good and well they can count better than you? I'm not sure. I might try that on my next visit and report back. This time, I went with something called Pad See Ew, which wasn't nearly as gross as its name suggests. In fact, it was good. Its description on the menu, with broccoli, eggs and soy sauce, called to mind various things I might order from a Chinese takeout--which is what I tend to look for in a menu item. As a noodle dish, I figured the overall flavor profile might not be different from a lo mein lunch special I used to get decades ago, that I still fondly reminisce about on a weekly basis. I wasn't that far off from the mark. They let you choose the spice level, ranging from mild to hot. I usually get hot in most places, but I'm hesitant to do that at Asian restaurants, because they might have access to peppers that are technically considered research chemicals, like Temu Ozempic, and therefore not subject to FDA approval. There were a few girls there, and I didn't want to run the risk of my throat starting to close up. I'd have to find a new run group. Medium turned out to be just right for me, but maybe too spicy if you're expecting something along the lines of a buffalo wing. Even the mild, apparently, has a bit of a kick to it. The noodles were nice and slippery and cooked a touch beyond al dente, right in that Goldilocks zone between undercooked and mush. The heat, and the complexity provided by whatever they use to season this, helped offset the underlying sweetness. You get your choice of meat. No Diddy. I went with pork, natch, with apologies to the Honorable Minister. The amount they give you is surprisingly generous, except that this dish will run you. I'm talking modern-day Chipotle prices. Maybe a dollar or two more. Yikes! But I'd argue that the quality justifies it. If I lived nearby, and I had the means, I'd stop by on occasion.

I don't have any qualms with tipping, but I don't think it's fair to have it automatic, especially since the food is already on the pricey side. The interior is very calm and moody. The candles on the table are a nice touch. The service was okay, but for the size of the restaurant it felt a little weird. I usually try to get something that can easily be compared to other restaurants and determined if I will come back. I opted for the pad Thai. While not the worst pad Thai I've had, it was one of the more expensive. My noodles were dry and clumpy. It was hard to eat and required water. There was an unremarkable amount of chicken for the price. The flavor was also quite underwhelming. The quantity was also questionable. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back here. It was convenient because we were going to the Pageant, but other than that it was subpar.
