What a mouth watering adventure! I was visiting STL and had a local friend pick our restaurant. She knows I love Asian cuisine, like her, so she chose this authentic Thai spot. Issa, our server, was very knowledgeable with his recommendations. Everything we ordered was fantastic! The only thing I didn't really care for were the tiny dried shrimp in the papaya salad (just a personal preference). We had 3 appetizers: rolls, crab Rangoon and papaya salad. There were 4 of us and we ordered 5 entrees: 2 curries, pad Thai, and spicy thai basil fried rice. I wish I was able to eat more, as I was leaving the next morning and didn't have an opportunity to eat the many leftovers we had. I'll be back! I would suggest going early, (5:30ish) as Issa was the only server and the place was slammed by the time we left, 7:00ish

Very delicious Thai spot with fab crab Rangoon. You can have your food more mild or spicy. Table service was a bit slow, but the kitchen seemed quick enough. I got a coconut water and it was phenomenal - I'm looking forward to ordering it again at a future visit!

Sat outside with our dogs for a delicious, fresh, quick meal! As a vegetarian, highly recommend the flavorful tofu laap. We also ordered the Beef Nam Tok and loved it as well. Will be back!

One of my favorite STL Thai restaurants! I've been here a few times with two people and also with larger groups. And they've been good at accommodating both group sizes. I believe you can call in advance for reservations so that definitely is helpful. There is street parking outside and a lot across the street which is great! My go to is always the pad Thai with shrimp or tofu. I appreciate having options as someone who does not eat Meat so that is great! I will definitely be back. The service is always fast and friendly and I love that!

Large serving size with great flavors. Wasn't a big fan of the consistency of Thai Curry, however flavor did not lack. Staff were attentive to our need. Located in the Groove. Limited street parking directly in front available. I will return.

My favorite Thai in The Grove! Always have to start my meal with the crab rangoon. The Pad Kee Mao with Chicken is delicious and will keep me coming back! Staff is nice and helpful.

St. Louis is so lucky to have as many wonderful Thai places as we do! This one is right up there with the very best. I love the design of the interior with the open kitchen. The pad thai never disappoints and my other go-to is the khao soi. Don't pass up the spring rolls and potstickers if you're looking to get an app. Highly recommend checking out their Happy Hour from 4-6!

I got the Khao Soi and it was not bad! My friends said the pad thai and the grilled eggplants were a bit bland though. However, the service and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very very nice and attentive!

I could have sworn I had already had a review for some of the best thai in stl. Alas, here we are. Overall, a can't miss spot. Everything I have had from here is great. People love to get carryout from here so it's the perfect spot for a date night because it is so quiet and relaxed. The workers are great. Efficient, attentive, and happy to serve! A few highlights for me on the menu: crab rangoons(their sweet chili sauce is outta this world) the pad kee mao is amazing. Super savory with a hint of sweetness. A good kick to it. Acidic, and the noodles are superb. A staple in the grove and a staple in stl. Great food, great people, chic vibes

One of our favorite spots. I can tell it is a popular take out spot, but the inside is beautiful and worth dining there if given the chance. The food is delicious and the portions are pretty sizable. Our waiter was so nice and caring to our needs. Cocktails were strong as well. Certainly a must try if in the Grove.

A friend and I came for a special Tasting Menu for 2. Thought it'd be a good way to try different things, and it WAS! The cocktails we ordered were both different and DELECTABLE! ALL of the food was also different than I've had at other Thai restaurants and very, VERY good! I commend them on offering the Tasting Menu and wish more places would do the same. The service was good and the ambiance was quiet and comfortable.

The place is beautiful, I really enjoyed the look and set up of the space. The hand crafted cocktails were yummy, and hard to chose from. My friend and I wanted to try this nice Thai place. He got the tofu Thai rice and I got Pad Kee Maw. We shared some crab ragoons. The service was okay, but only because they were down people that day. But the workers were working their butts off so I commend them for that. So I think their service typically would be great! My dish was good, I personally don't like the red wine added to it. Traditionally that is not typical and I am use to it being spicy. But I devoured it. My friend said the tofu was great and his dish was perfect. Our drinks were good. Over all we enjoyed this experience. I do think that they need to have fresh desserts and or frozen to order desserts. I would have gotten the mango sweets sticky rice as it's one of my favorites. So there is room for improvement!

Been twice and loved everything both times! Plates were CLEAN when we were done because it was really good. Our waitress was the same person both times and she was very helpful and kind. Place is really spacious and clean. They have a nice and unique drink menu and we will definitely be back to try more of them!

They had 2 wait staff working when we went and both greeted us immediately and seated us inside. Their air conditioning was broken and awaiting repair and they had signs throughout explaining that. It was still cooler inside than out so we sat inside. I was curious what a butterfly lemonade was so I ordered one. It was good and quite refreshing with traditional lemonade at the bottom topped with a vibrant deep purple concoction on top. After I educated myself, I found that the deep purple concoction is steeped tea made from butterfly pea flowers. We started with some egg rolls - fried with ground pork and vegetables and served with sweet and sour sauce. The sauce was great! I normally pass as most of them have a cloyingly sweet flavor that I don't like but theirs had a really good balance of flavors amd not too sweet. The egg rolls were flavorful enough to stand on their own though and yes, delivered piping hot to the table. I had the drunken noodles with beef at medium spicy level. At first bite, I was immediately able to taste the spicy level I chose. A great sign. Then I sniffed and started sweating. Another great sign of good spice level. My husband ordered the yellow curry with tofu and medium spice level as well. At first he said it could be hotter but then midway through he decided it was more of a build up and thought the level was actually perfect. Serving size was great. You can definitely get another meal out of an order! We took the rest of our food home. I cannot wait to eat my leftovers today. What a great spot for a delicious, quick dinner!

The server at the cash register was super great! He had to be miserable as the heat from the kitchen was intense, but he was super pleasant and helpful. I placed a to-go order for Fried Pot Stickers and Chicken Drunken Noodle. I waited for a bit, and my food was ready and I was on my way. I tried a bite of Potsticker with sauce in the car and saved the Drunken Noodle for dinner. Small spot in Webster with good food and super staff

Unlike the atmosphere in the Thai restaurants in West County, the place is almost austere. That is not a bad thing, because it has outdoor seating available with shade from old neighborhood trees. The service was attentive and friendly. I needed a phone charge at the staff was kind enough to plug my phone at the counter and keep an eye on it. The food was a different twist on what we expected. We sampled their Thai Stix, which relate to a crab Rangoon, but the nicely melted cream cheese is flavored with kankimama and scallions. They are a bit messy, but worth it. Their Hoy Jaw are deep fried dumplings of shrimp, crab and mixed pork, deep fried with a crunchy texture. Both of these small plates come with a bright sweet chili sauce. The chicken satay were tender, moist and came with a peanut sauce that was the perfect blend between almost peanut butter and being too runny. For me, the best part of the meal was the Hung Lay Curry. The dish combines pork belly and pork shoulder, perfect cooked and tender in a curry that includes palm sugar, turmeric, peanuts, and fresh ginger. The curry is not dominated by curry powder, and has a rich, satisfying flavor that can be compared to a rich ramen broth. Spoon the sauce over the rice to let the flavors soak in. For those who think curry is spicy, this dish is not. Instead, it has the comfort food vibe that is a unique for me in eating Thai food. I don't have any qualms with tipping, but I don't think it's fair to have it automatic, especially since the food is already on the pricey side. The interior is very calm and moody. The candles on the table are a nice touch. The service was okay, but for the size of the restaurant it felt a little weird. I usually try to get something that can easily be compared to other restaurants and determined if I will come back. I opted for the pad Thai. While not the worst pad Thai I've had, it was one of the more expensive. My noodles were dry and clumpy. It was hard to eat and required water. There was an unremarkable amount of chicken for the price. The flavor was also quite underwhelming. The quantity was also questionable. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back here. It was convenient because we were going to the Pageant, but other than that it was subpar.

Ambiance: Very nice, dark, cozy -- date night vibes…read more Service: Great! Polite, smiles, answered all our questions. We started with the Isaan hamachi. It was okay, but compared to Sado's version it just didn't hold up. The biggest issue was the aroma--it had a sour, almost "rotten milk" smell. I'm not sure if that was from the coconut milk reacting with the acidity of the dish and was intentional, but it really affected the overall experience. The flavor itself was decent, but smell plays such a big role in taste. Next was a white fish sashimi (I can't remember the name) served over a thin orange slice and topped with jalapeño. The flavor combination was really nice and refreshing, but the slices of fish were paper thin. At around $20, I expected a more substantial portion. The gyoza was solid. Nothing groundbreaking, but well-executed with great flavor, a beautiful crispy lace, and honestly one of the best-smelling dishes we ordered. The palm sugar ribs came highly recommended, so I was excited for them. Texture-wise they were excellent--crispy outside, juicy inside--but the sauce had an overpowering aroma that reminded both of us of wet dog. My guess is the fish sauce was a little heavy-handed. I've had plenty of dishes with fish sauce before and love the depth it adds, so I don't know if this was intentional or just an off night. The flavor itself was good, but the smell made it difficult to fully enjoy. (It was pungent in the worst way) The standout of the night was the Japanese eggplant. Absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and the chili crisp brought everything together. Easily a 10/10. For dessert, we had the mango custard coconut cake, which was also delicious. Favorite cocktail: the Re-Animator. Refreshing, citrus-forward, with just enough wasabi to give it a subtle kick. I've never had anything quite like it and would absolutely order it again. Overall, it wasn't the strongest first impression. There were definitely some highlights--the eggplant, dessert, and cocktail were all excellent--but if I'm spending this much on dinner, I'd probably choose Sado, where every visit has been consistently outstanding. That said, I'd still come back for that eggplant alone. This reads more like an honest dining journal than a takedown. It gives credit where it's due, clearly explains why certain dishes didn't work for you, and ends on a fair note rather than a harsh one.
