I really love this place! The fresh rolls and the sampler appetizer platter is a must. I always get Spicey noodles with chicken but they do charge me extra for bean sprouts :(. All the curry's are great. Dinner prices are a lot more pricier but I don't feel like the portions are that much different from lunch. 5 star because the food is great. Wonderful addition to Springboro. Quiet and clean. We stopped in for an early dinner. The staff is very attentive and I found a coupon in the entertainment book for a bogo entree. We got some sushi and two entrees. I got a tuna roll and a philly roll and I subbed avocado for the lettuce in the philly. Both fresh and good. We also ordered the shrimp Singapore noodles. Spicy level 1. Wasn't too hot. And the waiter offered me dried Thai chilies to spice it up if I wanted. And I did!! It was even better after I made it spicier. Delicious!!!! My bf got the golden chicken. Like a sweet and sour chicken with peppers and onions and snow peas and pineapple. He liked it a lot. I'm not a huge fan of sweet food, but tried it and the chicken was hand breaded and delicious. Give this place a shot. You won't be disappointed! Besides the curry puffs, the teas, atmosphere, and service were excellent. I had the Thai iced tea, which was so amazing that I ordered a second one. Paul's mango bobo tea was also something special. Seating was comfortable, lighting and decor were inviting, and our server was both friendly and attentive. For entrees, Paul went with the bourbon chicken and I ordered the ginger beef. I do not like chicken thighs, but I tried Paul's dish and thought the sauce was nice. There was enough food on his plate to feed an army, so he ended up bringing leftovers home. Although I was a bit disappointed in both the amount (not much) and texture (somewhat tough) of the beef in my dish, the brown sauce was wonderful. Their heat scale runs from 1 to 4, so when I ordered a 3, I was expecting a good bit of heat, and that's exactly what I got. My lips were burning hours later, but I like that kind of pain. I might just invent excuses to visit Springboro more often so I can return to Thai Silver Spoon for the curry puffs and tea. read more

Yes, I stalked their kitchen and it looked great. They have a 1-4 spice range so I ordered chicken pad Thai 3. You need to go a little hotter on this dish because of the sweetness. They nailed it. Perfect spice. Chicken is top quality. One of the best pad Thai's I've had. This pad Thai rivals Thai 9. The boy had basil chicken. Ordered a 4 spice level. Could have been hotter. When I told the young lady, she seemed actually concerned and brought out two bowls of spice right away. She was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is immaculately clean, the service is prompt and friendly and most importantly the food is extremely tasty. Nightmare ordering and customer service experience. We've gone here many times, and while my boyfriend had a bad experience a couple of months ago with a seafood dish, I still really enjoyed my vegetarian meals, so I never really thought anything of it (his fault for eating seafood in the middle of Ohio, right?). Tonight I placed a large order for my family because my mother was grieving the death of her father who passed away this morning and I didn't want her to have to worry about dinner. We also had family in from out of town, and I just wanted to do something quick and easy. I placed the order on their website, which is clunky and annoying because it forces you to navigate between tabs to see the whole menu, but I can get past that. The order went through, and I received a message that it would be ready by 6:30. I didn't receive a confirmation email, but when I checked my bank account the money had been withdrawn. I showed up at 6:30, ready to pick up my food, and the hostess asked me 3 times if it could be under a name, then proceeded to read off the names of other clients whose food was ready to pick up, and asked me if it was one of those (was she seriously going to give me someone else's food if I had said it was one of those names?! So bizarre). I assured her it was not, and she told me they never received my order. I showed her the payment from my bank to their restaurant, and another waitress came over to tell me it was probably another Thai Silver Spoon, and I probably messed up and ordered from the wrong restaurant. I showed her the statement with their name and location on it, and she and the manager both said, "but this says POS with a number after the name, that's not us." I had to explain to them that POS stands for point of sale, and every transaction has a number attached to it. The manager then showed me the online platform (where I had just placed the order 35 minutes earlier) and proceeded to try to explain to me condescendingly how to place an online order. I told him I was well aware of how online ordering works, and that yes, I did in fact fill out the MANDATORY space where it asks for your name and email address to place the order. I was in such disbelief at this point. The manager told me "it's okay, we'll work this out with your bank right now, just call them and tell them to refund the money and we'll recharge you so we can start cooking your meal." I'd been there for over 15 minutes at this point. I explained to him that's literally not how banks work, and that there would certainly be a delay in refunding the money, and that I was not comfortable giving them double the money (which would have then amounted to $340) when I wasn't sure the bank would even refund the original funds because it would have to be contested. He told me to call anyway, which I knew was a waste of time but honestly, I was distraught and I knew my family was waiting and I didn't know what else to do. Of course, my bank needed time to refund the money. I waited to tell them the news and no one came to talk to me for 3 minutes after the call. Zero empathy for my situation, zero attempts to make this right. They didn't offer to comp even one of the 7 appetizers or 7 entrees they expected me to reorder, or try to make the situation better in any way. Having worked in food service for over a decade, I was shocked. I walked out in tears and had to pick up prepared cold food from the local grocery store (shout out to Dorothy Lane Market for saving the night). Long story short, if you order from here you will likely want to have a backup plan, and don't expect them to give a shit about whether or not you receive your food. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in the Dayton area, and as good as any Thai food that I've ever ordered in a big city. Their tofu is AMAZING, the best tofu I've ever had, anywhere. Living in Columbus we have access to some great Asian restaurants and love Thai food. My husband wanted to stop and try Crooked Handle driving through Speingboro. So we found this on Yelp and had it delivered to the brewery. Ordered masman and yellow curry with potstickers to get minimum deliver amount. Curries were both thin with oil pooling on top which did not stir back in. Potatoes in curry were undercooked. No depth of flavor. Potstickers ok but greasy. Below average Thai food :( read more

We tried Thai for the first time last night and the Thai Silver Spoon did not disappoint. We shared a Cream Cheese Crispy & a cup of Tom Kha soup. Both were delishious. The soup was my favorite. It was full of flavor & fresh veggies. The cream cheese was served with a delightful sweet chilli sauce that complemented the cheese in a wonderful way. I had a good delightful glad of the plum wine. I normally do not order sweet wines but this was a surprise! It was floral & fruity but in a great combination. I ordered the Pad Thai with beef and could not eat it all! There was a lot of food! For my first time I ordered spice level which is mild by my taste buds. I'll try at least 2 next time. Angela ordered the Pan Woon Sen with chicken. This was also a huge portion of food and delishious. She discovered ah did not like the thread noodles but that was not the servers fault. The chicken & veggies were full of flavor and very tasty. Food: It was definitely the best Thai food we've had since moving to the area. We ordered the red chicken curry, green chicken curry, springs rolls, and Thai ice tea. Apparently spicy doesn't really mean spicy in our area so we ordered the spice level to be at a 3 (between 1-4 level). Both curries has great flavor and actually we're spicy! The chicken in the curries were cut a little big (my pet peeve) but cooked well. Unfortunately I thought the curry sauces were too watery but the taste made up for it. The spring rolls were average and the Thai ice teas were decent. Also, they didn't provide a proportionate size of rice to go with the curries. Service: We ordered delivery. It came in a very timely manner and they didn't forget to bring utensils and plates which was nice. Delivery minimum is too high in my opinion though ($30). We were camping at the KOA in Lebanon, OH and I was just craving some Asian food so I looked this place up on Yelp just 8.7 miles from the campground we decided to take a ride.. located in a strip mall , nice decor, wasn't busy when we arrived at 7:15 so got waited on right away . Shared the fresh roll with shrimp and peanut sauce with hubby-- awesome- then I had the coconut soup best I've had yet.. we each ordered a noodle dish hubby had pad see Lew my recommendation and he really likes it - I had drunken woman noodles with seafood and a brown sauce also good -- I was tempted to try the Thai mango sticky rice for dessert but we were stuffed.. if I lived in this area I would definitely eat here again read more

The food was quite good, but while I was there they attempted to refuse service to a person with a service dog. Going so far as to take pictures of both the dog and the dogs credentials incase there were an issue with health inspectors. I don't believe they were being malicious, just ignorant. We tried the Silver Spoon last night for the first time and it was really good. The egg and spring rolls were crispy and well done. Our 10YO had the bourbon chicken with steamed rice. Huge amount of food for $7 and the Rangoon was awesome. Bourbon chicken was pretty good. I had the basil chicken rice dinner (spice level 2) which was good. Green beans were a little undercooked for my liking but added a nice snap. Wife got the cashew nut chicken rice (2) and it was delicious. #2 on our two dishes had plenty of heat. Finished with the pumpkin custard, which was very sweet and obviously homemade. One of the better Thai places around the area. I've tried their pho with beef, pad thai, and glass noodles (can't remember the actual name). All were excellent especially considering I've never thought to order pho in a Thai restaurant. The Thai tea is legit and their iced coffee is surprisingly good! My only complaint is that the prices are pretty high. Overall it is definitely a place worth trying if you are craving Thai food. read more
