Spicy Chicken Box (Lunch Only)

Get the bento box during lunch. The spicy chicken or pork is amazing. Their fried veggies are great and the spicy cabbage soup will cure all your ailments! Greater selection and adorable atmosphere.

Bibimbop was so yummy!! Great service, got seated immediately, definitely will be coming back again.

The food is phenomenally delicious However, don't expect any friendliness from the staff. They acted like we were bothering them by being there. Very rude and smug. Luckily my friends and were able to laugh it off, but it was really out of place to act that way. Maybe opt for take out. The bibimbop was wonderfully prepared

Love, love, love Kabuki! We warmed up with hot green tea and miso soup before starting in on our sushi rolls. If you're a sushi fan, you will definitely enjoy the robust menu. If you're not a sushi fan, they also have rice and noodle dishes. Yum.

A good place with nice service. The sushi was good and kimchi pancake was ok. The miso soup was also good.

Bulgogi for take-away. Delicious.

I got take-out from here, so I can't make much comment about the environment, but the person in the phone was pleasant, I enjoyed the variety of their menu (I ordered "fresh rolls" and bulgogi), the food was ready when they said it would be, and the taste was great! I'll order from them again and maybe even drag my wife here as well. I have heard lots of good things about this restaurant. I think you will enjoy this pace.

California Roll Rainbow Roll

Best sushi in Dayton. Really tucked away and looks deceiving but it's cozy and intimate inside. Sushi is great quality you can't get anywhere else and not too pricey. Never disappointed here

California Roll

yummm. uhh, so. me n' my mom came here for the first time. we got the california rolls and tuna sushi. I (and my mum,) LOVED ITT!! :3 our server was SOO kind, guh! our food took a little while but not that long if im being honest! my mum loved the music, she knew every single word to every song LMAO!! its also so pretty in here, but anyways, THANK YOU FOR SERVING US!!!

Kimchi Pancake

Finally stopped in to eat as I pass this all the time!!! Very easy to miss and it's a fairly small restaurant but that doesn't take away from the big flavor! The authenticity of the food was on point. The kimchi pancake was amazing and so tasty! Had a saporro to start. Didn't get pictures of the rest of the food as we crushed it, but the japchae, bulgogi and the orange chicken is amazing! Do not pass this up like I'd been doing!

We used to love this place, but the food has gone down in quality. Sadly, this area doesn't have many amazing sushi roll picks so you eat what you find here and hope for the best. The main issue was the host/manager, he was rude, and not interested in even greeting you or any of that. So the combination of having to deal with him plus lower quality food won't have us coming back for more sadly, but shout out to our waiter who was a delight. Also, we recall the owners are nice people but that host was too condescending to deal with. Ambience is dark and stuffy, they could try to re organize their dining room and maybe get some more light in there to brighten it up and make it feel more peaceful.

This place is a hole in the wall. In need of many repairs. If you can get past that, I would recommend it 100%. Good sushi and kind staff.

Ask the Community - Kabuki Sushi Bar & Restaurant

Is there an all you can eat sushi bar?

No this is not an all you can eat sushi bar

Do they have a private room for parties?

No, I’m sorry we are very small and can not accommodate large parties

I don't like sushi or anything spicy. I'm sort of a plain jane sort of eater. Will they have something for me? Also, why don't they have their menu posted? That would help!?

Hi there! You might like the chicken teriyaki, bulgogi beef, or sweet and sour chicken. We also have fried rice that you can add chicken, beef or shrimp that you may enjoy. You can go to www.eatatkabuki.com to see our menu

Anyone know if they accept reservations?

We take Call Ahead Seating. This is where you call about 20-30 minutes before you would like to arrive and we will add you to our wait list. This minimizes you’re wait at the actually restaurant. I hope this helps!

Do you serve kimchi?

Hey there, yes we do, but only upon request. I hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with

Do they have sushi buffet, all you can eat too? Thanks in advance!

Hi there! We do not have a buffet or all you can eat. I hope this helps! Best.

Our waitress, Alexa, was busy but was friendly and helpful. We also had lots of great servers in and out bringing food. The food was delicious. I always get the Arroz Ya ya, which is a yummy rice dish. Loved the signature cocktail, the Bad Bunny. So good! There's a lot to choose from on their menu. Definitely a place to visit if you're in the area.

Service: 4.7/5 Very friendly! They course out your plates for you which I always love. They were able to accommodate my pescatarian diet (I.e., meats on the side to give to others at the table). On a less busy night, they offered a free toast for my birthday. I've been for other celebratory dinners here on busier nights where that hasn't happened, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambiance: 4/5 A little busy and can get loud on the weekends with table chatter, cutlery clinks, and the brick walls echoing noise around. Tables are also close together, so you can definitely hear the conversation next to you. The decor is pleasant and the lighting is soft and romantic enough that it is still a perfect date night spot! There are also a couple larger crescent booths for larger parties.

Such a feel-good setting, and I felt like I was back in New York for a bit. Especially with my first impression that it was a very tiny cozy place, 10 or so bar seats, two 2-tops and an SRO window counter. But I later learned of the much bigger dining room that was not in use when we visited on Sunday afternoon. Additionally there is covered outdoor seating (not an option at present with all these rainstorms). Our server was such a gentleman, so helpful, prompt, kind, engaging and attentive. I'm sorry I didn't get his name but I hope we'll see him again on a future Sunday. The food is just off the charts, unique, lovingly prepared, high quality, incredible flavor combinations, nicely presented, and so delicious. My husband and I shared Curry Chicken Sliders (perfect level of warming curry, soft bun plus crispy fresh greens), Brussel Sprouts (tender crisp, lightly glazed perfection; there is a choice of glazes, might try the honey next time), Meatballs (light in texture, hearty in seasoning, in a wonderful sauce), and the amazing bacon-wrapped dates which are indescribable. Just. Get. Them. We loved all four dishes and I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite. Food arrived at a good pace. Lots of wines from the Iberian peninsula, three craft beers on tap and a full bar. They also sell bottles of wine. The parking lot here is also pretty pequeño but there are some spots on the side street. We find ourselves in Urbana on the occasional Sunday and next time we do, believe me there will be another visit to Pequeños. ¡Gracias!

We were welcomed warmly and seated at what I think is the very best table in the restaurant. It's the booth that feels like you're almost in your own private room. It kind of hugged us into our own little world and was perfect for a birthday dinner. Then there was Joel, the loveliest of servers. Fun, funny, knowledgeable about the food and just delightful. Joel gets five stars all by himself. We all started with the El Luchador cocktails. They were SPICY. Probably a touch too spicy for some people, but we loved them. Now, I'll be honest. When I first looked at the menu, I was concerned. I don't like goat cheese. I know, I know. I like ALL the other cheeses, just not goat cheese. And this is a goat cheese heavy menu. But I jumped to conclusions because there turned out to be plenty for me to eat. We started with the PAN CON TOMATE. Get this. It's amazing. It seems like it should be simple, but they've somehow elevated it to another level. SANDÍA CON MACHA. This is one of those dishes where you imagine someone in the kitchen putting these flavors together and asking, "Is this good?" And the answer is YES. ACEITUNAS ALIÑADAS Y QUESO MURCIA AL' VINO. They were kind enough to keep my olives from mingling with the goat cheese. The olives I had were meaty and delicious. MEJILLONES CON VINO. My FAVORITE. The mussels were fantastic, but the fennel and that dreamy broth were what really did it for me. PULPO. I tried it. It was delicious. Eating octopus just freaks me out because they're so smart. This is not Mita's fault. This is between me and the octopus. TOSTADA DE CANGREJO. My second favorite thing of the night. A party-in-your-mouth situation. YUM. TACOS DE CORDERO. I didn't eat these, but the others in our party were very happy. BROCHETAS DE POLLO. By this point we were FULL, but these were still very good. Tender, nutty and just the right amount of kick. Overall, the flavors here are unexpected in the best possible way and clearly created by someone who really knows their stuff. If you're up for a culinary adventure, this is absolutely the place. And even if you're not particularly adventurous, there are plenty of delicious things here that can make a special night feel even more special. This spot was close to our hotel so we made a reservation for a group dinner here. It's a nice looking restaurant with fitting decor that doesn't feel overly stuffy but has a colorful elegance to it. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful with the menu. We ordered a variety of items, including the empanadas, the plantains, 2 ceviches, cheese plate, chicken skewers, and mussels. The empanadas, standard ceviche, and skewers were good. The rest were pretty meh. See my pictures for more but it was a very uneven meal. I got the cheesecake for dessert and it was slightly frozen in the middle. All in all, it's a good restaurant but not great as the food was inconsistent. But if you want to come on a date or for a group dinner, it's worth the visit. Just be selective of what you get.
