Came back to Song's and wanted to try their beef short ribs. They offer dinner and lunch serving options. I ordered the lunch portion and got a boxed lunch with my short ribs. Everything tasted delicious! The short ribs were tasty and tender, the fried squash was sooo crispy, you could hear a loud crunch in each bite, and the diced apples and cucumbers were a nice refreshing sampler to the savory food. Japanese and Korean restaurant run by the friendliest people I've met in this area. I had the bulgogi in the stone pot and it was great. We also had sushi and chicken Katsu and the response was-delicious! Clean nice place to eat although the location is unassuming. This is a tiny little place I've passed litterally a hundred times. It's a few doors from our favorite Mexican we hit weekly, and behind a speedway, don't be fooled. There is treasure inside. Ambiance: Typical "asian" style looking restaurant inside. Not super modern, not run down either. Food: Miso was good, came out fairly fast. Sushi was not well rolled. I think the nori was less crisp. For the rolls, it was not super well rolled. The rice came off the ends (see pic) , and the nori did not go all the way around, so the roll fell apart easily. I wish the rice clumped better and had a more vinegar taste. Fish felt like it was not that good quality somewhat "wet" and a bit slimy taste. Being a bit picky, but also looked like the fish was not cut with too much care (see pic). Service: ok. It's a bit slow but so is everywhere these days. It's a small place and we had to wait awhile because they were under staffed, one waitress and two prepping all of the food. But, the food was worth the wait! You start with a choice of miso soup or a salad, we chose the miso which was hot and flavorful. I ordered two orders of Gyoza (8 pieces) to get us started. It was the best Gyoza I've had since being n Korea. Fried perfectly, full of flavor with a great dipping sauce. We ordered two different sushi rolls, the Mango Tango and the Eel Roll. Ordered some takeout after hearing some of my friends hype this place up. When I looked online I wasn't sure if they were still in business as their Facebook page hasn't been updated since 2016. Well, they are definitely open. I ordered the Mama's Boy and Lovely Lady Rolls. Of the two, the lovely lady was definitely my favorite of the two. I will be back for sure. Songs food is good but the menu on FB does not have accurate prices compared to what they charged me. California Roll says $4.95 but they charged me $6.95 + $1 fee to add cream cheese. Rainbow roll says $11.95 they charged $14.95 My bill was $22 over what it should have been and what I was charged a couple of weeks ago. I will find someplace else for those prices. read more

Everything here was really good! We got gyoza which was probably my favorite- hot and crispy and filled with a great mixture. All the sushi was fresh and delicious- the spicy Tuna roll was definitely spicy! The Buckeye Roll was my favorite. Miso soup and Udon Noodles with tofu and both were enjoyable and would be ordered again. The plum wine was good as well! The staff was super kind and attentive here. The only thing was that everything came at different times. Like we got the soup and one appetizer and then 5 minutes later the noodles and then 5 minutes later the other appetizer. I'd not recommend Song's now. New owner/management. The old Song's was outstanding. The food was good but the spicy chicken was not spicy. The sushi was short on the amount served. We never received one of the entrees we ordered and waited about an hour only to take it home in a Togo box. All three people in our party ate at separate time due to the food coming out one dish at a time. We told the staff who apologized and gave us a $3 discount. Overall a fail as far as getting what we order in a timely fashion. Maybe 10 customers total in the place so no excuse. Server said it was her first day so I blame management. I give 2 stars because we did eat but certainly would not go back with so many other places to eat. Again I think this is a new restaurant with the same name as before. read more

came here for a quick lunch, they have private parking and it is very convenient. the staff here is very friendly. the menu is huge! in size I mean and you get to write next to the meal you want to order and then give the menu back to the server. MISO SOUP- I was sadly not very impressed with it, it was a little blend in taste. SHUMAI - that is by a long shot my favorite appetizer in life, sadly here the 5 dollar appetizer gave me a pretty sad and small serving and I was not super happy about that. KIMCHI PANCAKES- to be honest they are not the best in taste, the pancakes were saggy and not very well cooked. later I microwaved them and it tasted a lot better. CRUNCH ROLL - this was a specialty roll they have there, it is a California roll with panic and spicy mayo, it was pretty good but not super impressive either. SASHIMI- I got some egg and salmon sashimi, they were pretty expensive I am not used to pay as much for sashimi but they were delish. overall this is a ok place to have a quick lunch but not the best sushi I ever had, in fact it was among the not so great. We went to Song's on a whim after craving sushi all day and this place did not disappoint! We always over order so we have left overs for lunches. We got the Spicy crab app the Spicy tuna avocado app, Gyoza and three Sushi Rolls(pics below, amazing presentation) and the Korean Bulgogi beef plate. We are so impressed with the quality and presentation of the food and the service was outstanding. Please support small, family owned businesses as they are the backbone of our community.
