Glad to find this Thai restaurant while visiting Dayton. This is a fusion restaurant hence the mix of Thai, Chinese and Japanese dishes, which is not a bad thing at times. We ordered sushi, sashimi, thai curry, thai tea, Chinese appetizers, sake and mango sticky rice, all were tasty. Spacious and clean restaurant, good service, and was fairly quiet. The master art sushi was absolutely delicious all the different flavors combined into one. This may be my new favorite dish. I stopped in with a bumble bff date and while I am not sure we will be the best of friends, I will definitely be having a relationship with Hello Thai. We wanted to try something new, so l finally got the man interested since he likes sushi and they have five pages of sushi, including cooked! We got the calamari, it's hard to do right but asians know how to cook seafood, so we wanted to see how they did, it was killer. Tender but crooonchy. He was intrigued by the Out of Control sushi, aka Sushi roulette, the chef just makes you two random rolls off the cuff, what is it ? no idea. Can you order it again? Nope. And the man loved it. One had seared tuna on top, the other salmon. He ordered another dish (because he can't say no) but it went home with us because the sushi was so filling. We had dinner too from his second entree. I got the seafood Pad Thai, I know boring, but it was fantastic. Tons of seafood. Squid, sea scallops, shrimp, mussels. Needs a lot of work! I wanted to like this place but the food was missing flavor. I read another customer's review and they mentioned the taste of the chicken. It had no taste. They were right. The chicken had a strange smell and it reminded me of that canned chicken scent. It was a sour and overpowering fragrance. I ordered the Basil Thai Fried Rice with chicken, shrimp, and beef. I thought my dish would be bursting with flavor. I was wrong and will not be back... The service was okay. Although the restaurant wasn't very tidy, the waitress was kind and attentive. The decor of the restaurant was nice although there were 10 tvs in the place but not a single one was on. This restaurant has a lot of potential but they missed the mark for me. read more

There was 40 mins for the restaurant to close at 3:00. The server said only to go orders and wouldn't seat us. Horrible attitude.

Unfortunately the first time we dinned there for lunch we really enjoyed it, second did not meet near our first experience. We decided to get care out, it was horrible. The price tag war over $50 and we received half the food you receive sitting at the table. The food was not to flavor as we have ordered them in the restaurant before. Attempted to call the restaurant and there expression was, it is what it is. Don't do carry out and do not expect consistency in the food you order. We have gone a couple of times and have been very happy with every visit. We have only done take out but the food is always ready on time and doesn't have a long wait if you call in the order. The food has also been very tasty! I couldn't find a Thai place that I really liked but this one is the best in the area. The Penang curry is one of my favorites. We visited on a Monday evening, were greeted and seated immediately. Dena was a great server! She was friendly and so efficient, we felt very well taken care of. The Tom yum soup was amazing - the broth was well balanced and so good. The sushi roll was so delicious, my husband loved the pineapple rice with beef, and our son loved his California roll and potstickers. The restaurant has hours of open until 3pm posted on their door and on the website. When I walked in at 2:28pm I was told I had to order and eat and be out by 3. I immediately placed an order of food (easy items to be quick) to honor the request at literally 2:29pm. (I know the time because I checked immediately when the waitress complained to me as I was worried I had walked in like 10 minutes before they closed by her reaction). I was told that I was not allowed to eat what I had just ordered inside and was refused to be able to sit at a table. I was handed a bag at 2:35pm. So I had to sit and eat it in my car in their parking lot. I finished by 2:47 pm. All of this and they weren't closed for quite awhile yet. However, as I stood waiting the staff brought out their own food to sit and eat at a table. I have never posted a review but I wanted to share as this was all during open business hours and it's a dine In restaurant. If you don't want to do business after 2:30pm then close at 2:30. The food was bland and mediocre at best, and given the rudeness I won't be back. There are so many other wonderful Thai places in the area to eat with far better food and much friendlier staff. And for the record I finished eating and have had time to write this review and it's 2:53pm and they are still showing the Open sign on the door. Lol. Save your money for someplace that actually values your business. read more
