I'm one of those reviewers that RARELY gives five stars. Hello Thai earned 5 stars. The service was amazing, the location was modern, clean and friendly, but the food was the real star. The presentation was spot on, with those little touches you come to expect at high end asian restaurants. When I saw that Sushi rolls were only $5 I expected tiny little rolls. Not so! The California Roll included two sticks of crab and was almost too big to get into the mouth. The Pad Thai and a Curry dish that we had was really good. Sadly we're just passing though on a trip so we don't get to come back, but locals check this place out! read more

Glad to find this Thai restaurant while visiting Dayton. This is a fusion restaurant hence the mix of Thai, Chinese and Japanese dishes, which is not a bad thing at times. We ordered sushi, sashimi, thai curry, thai tea, Chinese appetizers, sake and mango sticky rice, all were tasty. Spacious and clean restaurant, good service, and was fairly quiet. So went there on Saturday no lunch special so ordered the summer special crab ragoon where hard but okay sauce really good, soup tom yum soup was chicken and onions and to spicy for me, and chicken pad thia chicken was tough, sauce was meh! I stopped in with a bumble bff date and while I am not sure we will be the best of friends, I will definitely be having a relationship with Hello Thai. We wanted to try something new, so l finally got the man interested since he likes sushi and they have five pages of sushi, including cooked! We got the calamari, it's hard to do right but asians know how to cook seafood, so we wanted to see how they did, it was killer. Tender but crooonchy. He was intrigued by the Out of Control sushi, aka Sushi roulette, the chef just makes you two random rolls off the cuff, what is it ? no idea. Can you order it again? Nope. And the man loved it. One had seared tuna on top, the other salmon. He ordered another dish (because he can't say no) but it went home with us because the sushi was so filling. We had dinner too from his second entree. I got the seafood Pad Thai, I know boring, but it was fantastic. Tons of seafood. Squid, sea scallops, shrimp, mussels. Needs a lot of work! I wanted to like this place but the food was missing flavor. I read another customer's review and they mentioned the taste of the chicken. It had no taste. They were right. The chicken had a strange smell and it reminded me of that canned chicken scent. It was a sour and overpowering fragrance. I ordered the Basil Thai Fried Rice with chicken, shrimp, and beef. I thought my dish would be bursting with flavor. I was wrong and will not be back... The service was okay. Although the restaurant wasn't very tidy, the waitress was kind and attentive. The decor of the restaurant was nice although there were 10 tvs in the place but not a single one was on. This restaurant has a lot of potential but they missed the mark for me. read more

I had been dying to try this place but was not impressed. I was the only table in the place and the server seemed more interested in schoolwork or whatever she was doing on her laptop. There was 40 mins for the restaurant to close at 3:00. The server said only to go orders and wouldn't seat us. Horrible attitude.

Unfortunately the first time we dinned there for lunch we really enjoyed it, second did not meet near our first experience. We decided to get care out, it was horrible. The price tag war over $50 and we received half the food you receive sitting at the table. The food was not to flavor as we have ordered them in the restaurant before. Attempted to call the restaurant and there expression was, it is what it is. Don't do carry out and do not expect consistency in the food you order. We have gone a couple of times and have been very happy with every visit. We have only done take out but the food is always ready on time and doesn't have a long wait if you call in the order. The food has also been very tasty! I couldn't find a Thai place that I really liked but this one is the best in the area. The Penang curry is one of my favorites. We visited on a Monday evening, were greeted and seated immediately. Dena was a great server! She was friendly and so efficient, we felt very well taken care of. The Tom yum soup was amazing - the broth was well balanced and so good.
