The atmosphere is relaxed and laidback with some sofas and side chairs, upstairs, or you can choose from a dining table from intimate tables for two or larger groups both upstairs and downstairs. We were seated by one person who told us they would be serving us and then another guy came and told us he would be taking care of us. Seems like it may be a "whoever gets to the table first and takes an order gets the table". It was an odd exchange when the girl who seated us came back only for us to say some guy already took our drink order. Unclear as to who was supposed to do what but that made things a little weird. I would be willing to go back but my wife wasn't impressed so I don't know as we will return. We wanted to try it as we had heard great things but now that we have, not sure we need to go back. Primarily a Whiskey bar, but they can also whip you up any fine cocktail. There are also wine and beer selections. The bar itself is huge and there are cozy tables as well. Expect a crowd, but you will find sufficient bar staff to provide timely service and answer any questions or help you make a selection. Parking is horrendous, and if someone in your party has mobility issues you will probably need to drop them off in front while you seek a place to put the car. But worth the trouble!

Every dish I've gotten and every plate I've seen come out of the kitchen is amazing and a wonderful sight. The duck is a personal favorite. It's always perfectly cooked with the right amount of pink and paired with Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. It also makes an amazing leftover since the portions are so big. The steak though is a dining staple. The Delmonico Ribeye shines at both a rare and medium rare cook and is just so flavorful. That's the steak I dream of and can't wait to have again. The servers are attentive, polite, and helpful when you ask for their thoughts on which dish to order. The bar is quick and makes some great drinks (based on friends' input). Salar isn't so upscale that you can only go for special occasions. It makes for a good mid-week dinner, meetup with friends and coworkers, but it can also be a treat yourself meal.
