The Silver Slipper is such a vibe. So artsy, which I really appreciate. Small and intimate. Food was amazing - their meat and cheese selection is great. My favorite was the salad, the vinaigrette was delicious. And a pretty solid espresso martini!

Real deal with smack yo mamma food and oysters yes in Dayton Ohio! Oh I'll be back. This place is like a spot I'd find on Frenchman street in NOLA.

Can't say how much I love this place! It's a hidden gem in the GEM city! If you like oysters and wine with food music please stop by and tell Brock I sent you! If you don't like oysters, cool.. try the French chicken, slipper salad and maybe Baxters Pick! You should be a happy camper after. The vibe is always chill in here enough to where you can still have comfortable conversation with friends. Service is great as well'

This establishment was a quaint local place. At first glance, the place seemed small but it's intentionally cozy. I was recommended this place by a friend for the wine so I had the Bordeaux rogue and they gave me a good pour. They don't make the wine themselves but they offer plenty of international selections! I got a couple cocktails and tried their appetizers and charcuterie options, which were both well priced. They mentioned that they have collaboration events sporadically from month to month and I would definitely like to go back for one. The bartender was very friendly and pleasant to chat with.

    Nice bar ambiance!

Silver Slipper is a welcome newcomer to Southpark, a wine bar with small plates known especially for serving up fresh oysters and Miller Lite... but sadly the day I first visited there was a Norovirus outbreak on the west coast, so no oysters this time! I appreciate that they just didn't serve them; safety first! And it means I got to try more small plates, and will have to return sooner than later. We tried the smoked salmon which was amazing; capers, jalapeño, lemon, red onion, and crème frâiche as well as the lil devils bacon wrapped chorizo stuffed pepper sauces dates Washed it down with a Blatz and a French cider. Adorable little old renovated house with a killer custom bar, an awesome artpiece installation, and possibly the best bathrooms in Dayton. Park in the back and come on in to enjoy the good vibes and friendly faces.

Tried The Silver Slipper on Saturday for an early dinner and was pleasantly surprised! I'd only heard about it and wasn't quite sure want to expect, but it was a cute little cocktail bar with lots of great small plates that were easy to share at our table. Service was great as well!

    Do they have oysters rockerfeller?

They did briefly at one point. This normally happens around the summer/fall when they bring it back.

I wasn't as surprised this time by the location in a neighborhood, something that gives it a very welcome feel and suggests with the addition of a covered outdoor porch with picnic tables that this is a good neighborhood hang. I was late for lunch, almost two but there were some folks still finishing up. Good vibe, good music and casual atmosphere. I opted for the Takoyaki app which was tasty and not so burning hot that it scorched the roof of your mouth. Also the right amount of mayonnaise as opposed to often an excess. The Ramen Flight was fun in principle but I wouldn't do it again. I unwisely and perhaps naively assumed there would be mini versions of the full serving of Tonkotsu broth with Mayo, Thai curry and Szechuan with scallions. But it really is just the broth and ramen. Expected the Szechuan to have some heat and peppery lip buzz but did not. The Thai curry was super salty. Just missed some option of veggies and protein. Finally I would suggest not sitting near the front near the stairs to the kitchen. The spot has competing music soundtracks with two different play lists battling between your two ears.
