    Ramen bowl

Overpriced ramen. Beautiful art on the wall. Overall, just too pricy for what we ate. Crab Rangoon was more desert-like. I prefer a savory taste to this appetizer.

What a hidden gem in Dayton located by the Dayton Mall. A modern take on Ramen creation by Mixi Noodles. A great way to customize a ramen noodles with fresh ingredients and homemade broths. The ambiance of the location had low noise level and was pretty clean. Unfortunately, they do not have a fountain drink station. All drinks including water need to be requested. The staff were efficient, super friendly, and knowledgeable. The images on the website was a little deceiving vs what was actually served. I ordered the Veggie Tonkasu Miso Ramen. My friend ordered the Beef flank with Tonkasu broth Ramen. Overall, this place was pretty tasty. I recommend this place for a good Ramen craving. Although the Ramen Bowl was made with flavorful broths and ingredients the price is a little above than expected. The broth and ingredients were super fresh and full of robust traditional Asian flavors. All the ingredients were made to order and not premade. The veggies provided were minimal for being a Veggie bowl but the broth and all the ingredients combined made this noodle bowl hearty and flavorful. This bowl had Raman, bamboo, scallions, eggs, bok choy, seaweed, corn, and ramen noodles. The Beef Flank soup had ingredients of beef flank, scallions, egg, cilantro, enoki mushrooms, quail eggs, seaweed, corn, and ramen noodles. The bowl sizes met expectations. It was in fact a large portion for lunch. However, the veggies shown in the images vs what was served was a little different. Overall, I recommend this place if one is craving a warm Ramen bowl with meats or veggies. They did great job making the Ramen bowl in a quick manner with fresh broth and ingredients.

A very good spot for Ramen in Dayton. The place is clean, the staff were friendly and polite. The service was quick. The dumplings were good and the sauce with them was amazing. Tokoyaki was also good but need to fried a bit more. The Soy chicken Ramen as very good, little on the mild side. Overall a decent place.

A small, quaint, dining establishment. The staff is super nice. The pricing is a bit much, imho, but that could be due to "the times".... The ramen was delicious! I did a build your own bowl, and it was great! My friends got actual menu items and loved them as well. The takoyaki ans curry croquettes were super yummy!!! I really wish they had a Japanese curry bowl on menu.

Copy of original receipt and copy of "$4 refund" receipt.

In the past, I had the pleasure of trying Mixie Noodles via Door Dash, and I was blown away with how delicious their food was. I also left a stellar review on on Door Dash. However, I am very disappointed with the service that I received yesterday when I decided to place a to go order. When I entered the restaurant, no one greeted me although all three staff members saw me enter the establishment as I was the only person there. I only wanted some chicken broth; it's very decadent I might add, so I decided to purchase two of them since I wanted a large size. The total was $8, I paid with my debit card, and I waited for my order so I can return back to work during my lunch hour. While I was waiting for my order, I watched the cook playing with the utensil with his fingers, as if it was a Emory board to file your nails, that was being used to prepare my broth. I informed the person who placed my order what I observed, and the cooked looked at me like he knew he was busted. I requested a refund for unsanitary reasons of course, and the manager shook his head as if I was making a big deal out of nothing. I gave him my card that I used to place the refund, and once completed, I requested a copy of my receipt. He seemed as if he was appalled that I asked for my receipt, and gave a smirk. Low and behold, I had to use my card three times before the manager was able to produce my receipt. Oh there's more. I asked him why do I have to keep using my card to get a refund. After the fourth try, he was able to print out a piece of paper, and cut off a thin strip of the receipt that said "refund $4". Had I not asked for a receipt, I wouldn't of known they didn't refund my $8. This explained why he gave me a weird look when I requested one. The manager had the audacity to say that something is wrong with my card, and he sarcastically stated that it's only for $8. At this point, my patience was dwindling, and for him to have the mitigated gall to say that's it's only $8 was mind blowing. I told him yes, it's only $8, but it's my $8 that I work hard for, and please don't patronize me. I told him how I had tried their food before via Door Dash, and that I left a review bragging on how good and fresh their food was. I told him that I decided to come in and support their business, but due to me witnessing the staff member using his fingers to play with the cooking utensils (in front of the customer), and request a refund, which I only received half of, gets insulted because it's only a "measly $8", left me feeling discombobulated and baffled. Please note that at least 5 minutes had gone by, and I still haven't received my refund. I had to use my card a total of 5 times, and I told him that I was on my lunch break, and all I want is my refund of ONLY $4. The manager stated that something was wrong with my card, but I told him my card worked perfectly fine to pay for it, and here's the receipt to prove it. At this point, I was over it, and told him to just give me my refund, and he would never see me again. I asked for corporate number, but he wouldn't give it to me, so I told him to call the police because I was done speaking with him. As he is trying to figure out how to work the register/POS machine (clearly this was the problem), another staff member walked up to the manager and pulled his wallet out, and asked if he could just give her the $4, but the manager would not allow him to. I said wow! The manager proceeded to yell and I asked him why are you yelling at me because I have not raised my voice once. I personally thanked the gentleman for his professionalism for trying to resolve and de-escalate the situation. I told him that he should be the manager, get a raise, and/or a promotion. This seemed to trigger the "manager" because he became pompous by stating I'm the manager, I'm a boss! True story, lol. I told him that he should really consider taking a refresher course in training; specifically customer service, get demoted, and/or take notes from his staff member. Instead of him taking accountability and being humble, and not allowing your his staff member to try and resolve the issue, he'd rather argue with a customer. Wow! After all this time, still no refund. By this point, it's comical, and I know it was only $8, now $4, but it's the principle of the matter. First, it's my money, and I don't care if was just $1. Secondly, I am the customer who was supporting their business, but I guess his ego was bruised because his staff member displayed unsanitary behavior in front of the customer. I guess my words finally registered with him because after 20 wasted minutes of my life that I will not get back, lunch break ruined; he allowed the nice young man to give me the $4 cash. Geesh! I personally thanked the nice man, may God bless him and his family, and that he would go far in his career because of his great managerial and customer service skills. I went to Pho District instead and they were much nicer! :)

    Miso tonkatsu ramen--sooo good!!!
    Stephanie D.

Ordered the miso tonkatsu ramen for lunch and it was outstanding! Atmosphere is clean and calm, employees are very nice, and ramen broth was flavorful and steaming hot, which I like. Used a Groupon coupon and it is totally worth it. If you like Japanese ramen noodles, this is the place to come for lunch! I'm Asian from Hawaii and this place is the bomb!!!

Love that the noodles, proteins, and veggies are in a separate tray above the broth!

Amazing food! Kind, fast service. Love going to mixi noodles! The golden broth is my favorite!

I was raised in a Japanese-American home. My mom and dad passed years ago, but my first visit to Mixi took me back to my mom's kitchen. Shockingly good and authentic cuisine. Now if they just would add a bowl of white rice to their menu...it would be perfection.

Pretty good new noodle company! We liked how quick and casual they were for an easy-going dinner while still having a variety of ramen and udon noodle choices and list of appetizers.

    Build - A - Bowl

Food was good. I had build-a-bowl with miso paitang broth & ramen noodles. The atmosphere was nice, food came out quickly , and the place was clean. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to your table. The employees were very nice

Nice, new, clean restaurant. Authentic noodle dishes. Love doing takeout as they pack the broth separately for easy re-heating at home.

The noodles are actually made in-house and have a lovely texture. I got the Classic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup and was definitely not disappointed. The broth is light, but full of flavor at the same time. It is truly very comforting on a cold winter night. I think the beef slices on there are a bit tough, but it's not too big of an issue. The portion sizes are actually crazy. I got the regular size and could finish maybe just half to 2/3 of the noodles, along with a majority of the beef. I can't imagine how massive the large bowl would be... For health, I also ordered some stir-fried bok choy.
