A hidden gem in Dayton, of all places. I haven't had many Asian restaurants of any kind that tasted authentic in Dayton, but this is one of the few. The noodles are actually made in-house and have a lovely texture. I got the Classic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup and was definitely not disappointed. The broth is light, but full of flavor at the same time. It is truly very comforting on a cold winter night. I think the beef slices on there are a bit tough, but it's not too big of an issue. The portion sizes are actually crazy. I got the regular size and could finish maybe just half to 2/3 of the noodles, along with a majority of the beef. I can't imagine how massive the large bowl would be... For health, I also ordered some stir-fried bok choy. This was stir fried well, but I'm not really sure what the flavor profile was supposed to be. Is it garlic? Is it spicy? I couldn't really place it. This was husband's first time eating here while I've been here twice with friends. He must've enjoyed it because he ate all of the noodles and sipped half of the broth! How the heck have I not reviewed this place yet?! Because when I tell you they have the best noodles I've ever had, I'm not kidding! The dan dan hand pulled noodles are my favorite dish in all of Dayton, maybe of all time! The noodles are bouncy, fresh, and the perfect vehicle for that nutty, velvety sauce. The chili oil - out of this world! The crunch of the veggie in the noodles (they look like green beans but I think it's a type of small pepper) are my favorite bits. The meat is sweet and salty and absolutely delicious! The sweet bbq sausages are a yummy starter too! Sweet and tangy and a great price. This place is a true hole in the wall. The hostesses are always so kind and I've seen a man demonstrate how he makes the pulled noodles almost every time I'm picking up my order. Inside is cozy and clean. This authentic Asian restaurant is attached to an Asian market, which is always a good sign. The inside is rather small with only a few tables. We placed an order to-go and walked around the market while it was prepared. We ordered dumplings, chicken fried rice, and chicken noodle stir fry. Lunch portions are around $10. The chicken fried rice was hearty, but a bit bland. I added a significant amount of sriracha to give it more flavor. My SO really enjoyed the chicken noodle stir fry. I didn't taste it, so I can't comment but she mentioned the sauce tasting really good. The dumplings weren't good at all. The dough was too soggy, essentially falling apart and the filling was too dry. We only tried one each and threw the rest out. Overall, our experience was hit and miss, hence 3 stars. Came here on a Sunday evening as a party of two. There were two other tables with customers. The establishment itself is so run down/in renovation. We thought it was closed. It also doesn't help that it's in the middle of nowhere. The staff were having their dinner and serving us which was interesting to say the least. The service was helpful enough. It was way more than enough food for two people. The cucumber salad could've been fresher, that's for sure. The Noodle soup lacked flavor, which we dumped the Dan Dan sauce and chili sauce into. The Dan Dan noodles were the best I've had. So flavorful. As for the Szechuan wonton/dumplings, so homemade and delicious it made my tongue go numb! The fried rice was amazing. My recommendations is to only eat that. The soups we had the wonton and the braze beef separately and they both tasted like water. This was not a one time only event. I have gone twice before this and the soup still tasted like water. I don't know where the seasoning went. I will have to say the food is the most authentic and traditional Asian dishes right from Dayton but recipes straight from traditional Asia signatures dishes. The ambiance was low to moderate noise level. Cute and quant restaurant with about 10 tables. The service was definitely a five star based on the fact that we arrived and was immediately greeted with a bright smile from our server Maria. The appetizers were served in less than 10 minutes. The entrees were brought out to us piping hot in less than 15 minutes. The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered pan fried dumplings and steamed dumplings. The dumplings came with a soy and rice vinegar sauce homemade from scratch. We ordered the garlic bok choy which was super fresh and full of flavors. Highly recommended the bok choy. We ordered sides of the cucumbers and the pickled cabbage. The cucumbers were a good start to the meal. It was fresh and lightly season with spices. The pickled cabbage was aged well. It could have used a little more flavor. We also ordered Dan Dan Noodles definitely a bit on the spicy side but all the noodles were hand crafted or no artificial ingredients. Next up we ordered Chicken wonton soup and Braised beef noodle soup, and Braised Pork over rice with Bok Choy. The soups all had freshly made hand stretched noodles. The broths were all homemade and fresh tasting with the right amount of flavors. All the dishes were pretty amazing with the right amount of flavors and spices. I have been searching for an authentic Chinese handmade noodle place forever and now I found one even though it's 100 miles away from where I live. Unbelievable gourmet dishes that are authentic. The spiciness I requested had the perfect flavor. The wontons were light and pillowy and handmade with handmade ingredients. We asked for more information on how the noodles are hand stretch and the noodle chef gave us a personal demonstration that we videotaped and attached to this review. The restaurant is relatively small and so we were lucky we got there in time to beat the lunch rush as it got busier with time. I ordered the Dan Dan noodles and my wife ordered a stir fried pork noodle dish. Our friend got the braised beef noodles in soup. We also ordered homemade dumplings as an appetizer. The food was ready very quickly and everything tasted and looked great! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the spiciness of the Dan Dan Noodles in chili oil. I like that they offer chili sauce with the noodles so you can dictate your own spice level. The place has an authentic feel and they're so fast with the service. Usually the Chinese fried donuts are delicious but the last time, they were cold. I would not recommend ordering them ahead of time, even though I asked for them after the meal. King Fu Noodle is my favorite restaurant in the area! I'm from LA and thought I would never find good Chinese in the area, but this place 100% proved me wrong. The Dan Dan noodles (which you can ask to have made vegetarian with tofu instead of pork floss) has to be one of the best meals I've had in my life. The cucumber salad and pickled veg are both great sides to help cut the heat. The staff is always super kind and gives great recommendations. There isn't a ton of seating, but it's normally not too long of a wait- even if there was it would be worth it. You can bring in the bubble tea from the shop right next door or do some shopping at the Asian market that's connected to the restaurant while you wait!
