    Szechuan Shrimp

Yum! Take-out is just as good as eating in. The Szechuan Shrimp really hit the spot. Crunchy vegetables, supple shrimp, and a Szechuan sauce with kick makes this the perfect Friday night in. Not pictured: steamed dumplings and veggie rolls.

Walking in, the atmosphere/ambiance is pleasing. The sweet tea I ordered was a little bland, but was solved by putting sugar packs in it. Customer service is good, and food is well prepared and tastes really good

    Hotpot menu

Yay for being the only restaurant offering hotpot in the area! We were the ONLY people dining here at prime dinner time, but I saw a lot of people come in and out for take out. The waitress was extremely nice! They do not offer the hotpot bowls that are split to get two soup bases so I asked if I could get .5 spiciness (regularly 1-5 levels). I ordered an extra side of enoki which wasn't on the menu... But the mushrooms that came out were actually white shimeji. I hardly think that's worth docking any stars over though. I wish they had a lot more standard veggie options like watercress or chrysanthemum though. My boyfriend got the kung pao chicken which he enjoyed. Subsequently, I had to eat almost all of the hotpot myself which was definitely a challenge. Although, thinking about it now, it's actually a one person portion.

Looked up this place before going on our little trip to Dayton and sooooo glad I went! It's a small…read morespot that's connected to an Asian mart and bubble tea shop. There was plenty of parking and signage. They have a varied and very authentic menu to choose from! We ordered a broth based lo mein noodle bowl and a hand pulled cold dry noodle bowl. BF added on a braised egg and I ordered a Taiwanese sausage on a stick. Yum on all accounts! Chili oil was automatically brought to us and the waitress was super friendly as well as bilingual. Food was brought out within 5-10 minutes of ordering. YES!! presentation and taste were perfect. Their prices and portions are reasonable and I love everything about this place, down to their cat portraits adorning the walls! Wish this place opened a location in Cleveland! I saw that they have spots in Cincy and Cbus!!

The noodles are actually made in-house and have a lovely texture. I got the Classic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup and was definitely not disappointed. The broth is light, but full of flavor at the same time. It is truly very comforting on a cold winter night. I think the beef slices on there are a bit tough, but it's not too big of an issue. The portion sizes are actually crazy. I got the regular size and could finish maybe just half to 2/3 of the noodles, along with a majority of the beef. I can't imagine how massive the large bowl would be... For health, I also ordered some stir-fried bok choy. This was stir fried well, but I'm not really sure what the flavor profile was supposed to be. Is it garlic? Is it spicy? I couldn't really place it. The prices are very fair for the quality of food they provide, and service throughout the night was decent. I will probably be back again, if I visit Dayton! The Jam Pong -- a Korean seafood soup -- had fresh calamari, clams, scallops, and mussels in a deeply flavorful broth with just the right amount of spice. The vegetables tasted fresh and vibrant, and the seafood portioning was balanced perfectly. The wontons were equally impressive, with what tasted like freshly made dough wrapped around pork filling and finished with a rich, flavorful sauce reduced just enough. Service was excellent. It's a family-run fast casual spot between MVH and UD -- you order at the counter and they bring the food out. The place was spotless, prices were very reasonable, and there was a steady stream of pickup orders all evening. No alcohol, just really outstanding food. Can't recommend it enough -- we'll definitely be back.
