TL;DR: Convenient location off of I-70, but food was disappointing. Food: Tried a few udon and lo mein dishes, but unfortunately all were a bit bland flavor wise and overly salty. Cost: Cost seemed appropriate for the quantity of food but was a little much for the quality. Service: No issues with service at all. Overall: Location was key for choosing to try this place but unfortunately the food just wasn't up to expectations. Not likely to try again. read more

The last few times have not been a good food experience and the last time was poor service and food. Was notified order was ready and got there and was told the did not receive it and was not ready!!! Advised I was notified and paid for online, they said they would get it ready after much discussion. I then had to wait another 25 minutes and then they discovered they had given my original order to someone else. They gave ONE Eggroll for my inconvenience!!' I don't eat egg rolls. I don't think they will be in our takeout rotation for a while or ever. I know they could care less, they already proved that. read more

We were in town (Dayton) for a conference and had a hankering for sushi. This place seemed very popular, as I heard a regular chatting with the owner. If my hearing was correct, I overheard them say they were opening another restaurant. That would be nice, as there wasn't much parking and the restaurant was small. I got the Crab Rangoon (8 pieces) and it was skillfully prepared. They were very generous with the dipping sauce too. I also got Egg Drop Soup, and it was the largest serving of soup I have ever had! For $2.50! My husband got two different sushis. Unfortunately, the Sweet 16 Roll was unlike any type of sushi one could expect, being extremely sweet. I'll tell you why: spicy lobster salad, shrimp tempura, and fried BANANA, wrapped in soybean nori, with MANGO sauce on top. It was sweetness overload, and the pieces were too large. In fact, it appeared that there were a lot of items on the menu with mango sauce. The second sushi was some type of spicy tuna, and the pieces were too small. The disparity between the tastes and sizes made for a weird experience. But guess what? We returned the next night with six friends, and they enjoyed their meals. It was nice that OSU852 had an extensive menu to suit everyone's taste. read more

I do wish there were descriptions under all of the regular and special rolls so you knew exactly what you were ordering (especially some of the rolls with names- like Boston and Philadelphia, etc.) There were some rolls I wouldn't have ordered had I known, but oh well! This is the most economical sushi platter I've seen in this area! It was great to split between two adults and had lunch the next day! Great takeout place. I am always ordering carry-out on days when I just need a little girl dinner - and more often than not that is just a bunch of crab rangoons - but this place has yet to disappoint. We stopped here because friends of ours said it was great. They were right!! It's small and not a lot of seating. But we were early so we got right in. Service was fast and spot on. PERFECT choice in the Englewood area!! Fast, friendly service, plenty of variety (Chinese and Japanese options!!) and reasonable pricing. I had a "hearty" appetite after hiking the trails in two nearby parks, and not familiar with the area, I checked here on Yelp to see what looked interesting, and this came up. A little tough to find (whacko GPS!!) but it's in the little shopping center/strip of stores right across the street from Kroger. Take your time going over their menu, and be sure to check out their specials board as well. At first, I thought I just might order a few apps, but ended up getting one app (shrimp shumai) and a "magic roll," which was just about the prettiest sushi presentation I've seen in a while. It's hard to find a place that does sushi, Japanese hibachi, and classic Chinese but this place does! Although I'd say each are average. The presentation could be a bit better for things like the salad. But overall we were happy with our meal. I am usually a regular, on 2.24.24 had Sweet Sour Chicken tasted off with the Fried Rice, this is the 2nd time I have gotten sick off the chicken. I can't say enough how much I love this little place! The sushi and sashimi here is the best I've had in Ohio by far and I'm very very picky about my sashimi. I haven't tried the hibachi because I'm so blown away by the sashimi but I'll have to come back soon and try, everyone in the restaurant having it says it's amazing and the smell is awesome!! This small business is very hardworking, kind, and I've never had a problem with my orders. The food tastes very good and I've never caught a foodborne illness coming from this restaurant, which can be a more likely issue with small businesses vs chain restaurants. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. There are a few specific dishes that aren't my favorite compared to other restaurants. The quality doesn't compete, but it's also understandable. Most definitely would recommend. read more

The Yelp reviews did not lie when i was looking for great sushi in north Dayton. If you're looking for dive sushi, this is your place! It's in an unlikely strip mall that gave me serious Breaking Bad vibes, but don't be scared because deliciousness awaits inside. I had the chirasi and sake. The chirasi was fresh, beautifully presented, and tasty. They had a good selection of sake, and I settled on the Rei junmai and was happy with my choice. The only negative I could mention about the sushi is it's heavily Americanized, with lots of deep fried fish and mayonnaise. If I am back in town, I may ask them to make me a chef's roll with just fish and rice, hold the Americanization. They were doing cash payments only the night I went, so go to the ATM first. They were doing brisk takeaway business, too. read more

We continue to love Ozu. I usually get shrimp, hubby usually gets chicken, but tonight I mixed things up with roast pork. WOW. Tender, flavorful, delicious. Not sure why they don't cut the pieces a bit smaller: I'd like to be able to use chopsticks instead of a knife, but still, fantastic food. We also ordered BOTH egg rolls AND spring rolls tonight (fried food cravings, apparently) and those were excellent as well. Highly recommend. read more

Got carry-out, my standard test meal for Chinese places. The crab rangoons were okay, still fairly crisp when I got home. The sauce was only so-so but I had some better on-hand. The Hot-n-Sour soup was anything but; I don't think I've ever had flavorless Hot-n-Sour soup before...or maybe it was Tofu flavored...or toe foo. In any case, it went in the garbage disposal after two bites. And the General Tso's chicken was...appalling. I didn't think you could even make chicken be that chewy. The broccoli was uncooked. The sauce was similar to the soup, no real flavor and certainly no heat. I didn't even try the rice. Blech. read more

Excellent! Tried this place for the first time since sushi Hana closed its doors. Had spicy tuna roll, seafood salad and amazing tuna roll. Everything was fresh. Service was friendly and fast. Great experience. This is in a small strip mall. Dining area has about 7-8 tables. They also have one hibachi table. Highly recommend read more
