COVID-19 protocols are in place, but masks arent required, it's the honor system, no mask means you are vaccinated. The staff was not wearing masks. The staff was very friendly and helpful, as we were guided through our choices. Japanese style bowls and sushi are the backbone of this restaurants menu. Everything is made to order, you pick your own protein, vegetables and toppings. I opted to create a custom bowl. I had roasted salmon and crab meat over brown rice, with scallions. I had the sweet and sour sauce to top it off. As far as I could tell, all of the choices are chilled, nothing is cooked or fried here. You can order takeout, pickup or dine in. We ordered FUSIAN delivery for dinner one night because we were craving sushi and were really pleased with our order! First off, I love that they offer grocery delivery and family meal kits in addition to their regular menu. The grocery delivery includes options like a breakfast bundle, necessities bundle, and produce + dairy bundle. You can also get certain veggies, fruit, rice, bread, toilet paper, and more separately. Their family meal kits include a sushi rolling kit, pizza kit, chicken teriyaki stir fry, and tofu thai peanut stir fry, to name a few. Even though we haven't tried them out yet, these sound too good to pass up on! For our actual dinner, we got 2 sushi rolls (Spicy Tuna and Rainbow Roll), Spicy Salmon Poke, and the Chicken Curry Bowl. The Chicken Curry Bowl was in their "limited time only" section and appears to not be on the menu anymore, which is a shame because it was delicious! The sushi rolls didn't have a ton of fish in them, but I loved the sticky sushi rice in them. The poke bowl was very refreshing. Food was good EXCEPT the protein. My husband got salmon and multiple pieces had bone in it causing him to stab his cheek. My chicken was bland. The other selections in our bowls were tasty. On top if this I ordered two sides of cucumber salad and did not receive either. I paid over $7 for them and I'm pretty upset about this- especially since they were highlighted on the ticket. If you are going to charge $15 for a bowl the protein can at least be tasty / prepared properly and the order should be correct.. Walking into the restaurant to pick up my order I was shocked at how loud the music was. Absolutely no way would I ever eat inside there. This was a really cool experience! My husband went here with his family when he lives in Ohio, and kept raving about it. I had never been to a "subway style" sushi place. At first I was a tad intimidated because the menu is a little confusing, but I ended up getting 2 sushi rolls and did the build your own option. I now think it is due to poor management. Sushi is always rolled incorrectly and falls apart. The restaurant is always out of ingredients that are supposed to be included with certain items. (Which I totally understand due to the current situation, but I want the person preparing my food to inform me if part of the food I ordered is not available instead of just not acknowledging it. Usually I like Fusion. I haven't been there for a while and was not very impressed when I picked up a bowl for lunch today. I found it odd that many of the veggie containers where almost empty as the restaurant was not very busy. The young lady who took my order was nice. However- when she passed down my bowl to the cashier I asked for some wasabi and SOME ginger. Instead of some she piled a Tennisball size ginger portion onto my bowl. Excuse me: Who can eat that much pickled ginger? After I handed her my credit card to pay I noticed on the payment screen that my bill was all of a sudden $12.00 and some change instead of $10.50. I looked at the screen and noticed that she had added a tip without my permission. I never mind giving a tip but excuse me? Silently adding a tip and assume the customer doesn't notice? So this is an update to my past rave review of them. I've been a regular customer for a long time, nearly since this location opened. Recently things have gone pretty downhill regarding cleanliness and quality. I've had my order delivered or picked up by family members and my food has been made wrong on a few occasions and I've had to drive 20 minutes back to have it remade. It's very frustrating to have to do that when you had it delivered or picked up by someone else so you could stay home in the first place. I also recently found a hair in a sushi roll that I got. When I have returned to have my roll remade, they just remake it and don't really offer any other remedy to the situation- which kinda sucks and isn't very good customer service. I end up leaving with my correct order, but I'm out the money I spent on gas to have to drive all the way back just to get the correct food and nothing more- which is fairly irritating. Stopped in after my daughters swim lesson, turns out it was one of their first days open at their new location. This was my first time ever eating at Fusion, when we moved out here we got pretty pumped about the idea of the place. They lived up to the expectations! Staff was quick, friendly and attentive! They helped explained the menu to me, and made the ordering easy! I got a white rice sushi bowl with Salmon and Shrimp tempura, added their kale (which is super tasty, reminds me of the seaweed flavor I'd get with a roll) the veggies were cucumber, edamame, green onions and avocado. So......we went for the first time on a slow, rainy, mid-afternoon. Thought the food was good but we were really put off by how sticky and unclean the tables were. Had we known how sticky they were, we wouldn't have eaten there. After looking for a non-sticky table, we gave up and put napkins down and ate. Again...great food! However, when we got up to leave, we cleared our table (napkins included) and they actually stuck to the table! In the meantime, I overheard another patron telling her son to try to find a table that wasn't sticky. Good luck! I get the whole COVID short staffing issue thing, but they were staffed well enough for someone to make sure the tables weren't gross. I received it absolutely cold, it seems that they use the same rice for poke and sushi, so instead of nice warm crumbly rice they used sticky one and as a result you getting a cold bowl of sticky mass. Instead of cucumber I found cucumber skins in my bowl. Yikes! The only nice thing were tuna cubes-fresh and tasty-2 stars for them. Miso soup was super salty. I just didn't understand the plus charges for fish eggs and crab meat. It's a typical add in for a bowl and sushi so upcharging 1.50 and 2 respectively is a lot. They have great customizable sushi rolls, made with fresh & interesting ingredients. I get the Left Coast roll (California roll) and I was so surprised by how good the avocado was even in the winter. 18 Nov 21 @5:00 - We got salmon rolls w/ crab topping, a favorite of my daughter's. She asked me to taste the crab (uh oh...) and it smelled and tasted "off", sour, definitely not good. We called the store to inform them (not for a refund, for quality control) and the manager first defended their quality measures (temp., etc.) and then tasted it himself, saying it was fine. For the rest of tonight's customers' sake... I certainly hope so. We eat there frequently. First time this has happened, hopefully it's the last (manager's taste test aside). Oh, and while I'm here, another nit to pick. Up until recently they had a sign on the door stating that "due to local mandates..." customers must wear masks. No such mandate in Beavercreek has been in place for a very long time, since the state mandate was lifted. This isn't Dayton city. I have no problem with a business requiring masks, but don't blame someone else, own your safety measures. read more
