    Chicken Chow Mein

I've been waiting anxiously for Super Wok to reopen while the staff was visiting family in China for a month or so. I stopped by yesterday evening, after having placed my order online. I got a House Special Lo Mein, a Chicken Chow Mein, and some Egg Rolls. Only the lo mein was tasty. The egg rolls were very bland, filled with only shredded cabbage. No pork, no carrot, no mushroom, no onion. BLAND. The chicken chow mein was also very bland, with very little flavor. As you can see from the picture, the dish seemed to be chicken, celery, onion, and bok choy. No carrots, no celery, no green onions, no garlic, no ginger, no noodles. Corn starch thickened pale sauce. BLAND flavor & even BLANDER appearance. The house special lo mein was very good. Excellent flavor. All in all, I was very disappointed.

Super wok is our go to Chinese restaurant! It's the only one in Germantown and is super close to our house. When we call to place an order, they answer on the first ring and we are off the phone no more than a minute later. They always tell us 20 minutes but we have shown up in 10 and our food has always been ready. The portion sizes are insane! We usually order from them when we know we don't want to cook for the next couple of days. And it had always been delicious. We have never eaten there but the lobby is always clean and tidy.

I have no idea but I'm not eating it. (The beef in House low mein)

The noodles are actually made in-house and have a lovely texture. I got the Classic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup and was definitely not disappointed. The broth is light, but full of flavor at the same time. It is truly very comforting on a cold winter night. I think the beef slices on there are a bit tough, but it's not too big of an issue. The portion sizes are actually crazy. I got the regular size and could finish maybe just half to 2/3 of the noodles, along with a majority of the beef. I can't imagine how massive the large bowl would be... For health, I also ordered some stir-fried bok choy. This was stir fried well, but I'm not really sure what the flavor profile was supposed to be. Is it garlic? Is it spicy? I couldn't really place it. The prices are very fair for the quality of food they provide, and service throughout the night was decent. I will probably be back again, if I visit Dayton! This was husband's first time eating here while I've been here twice with friends. He must've enjoyed it because he ate all of the noodles and sipped half of the broth! I could only finish half and took leftovers home, which is typical. Serving size is generous and food is always temperature hot and flavorful. I try to order something different from the menu each time I visit. This is the first time I remembered to take pictures of what we ordered. Food smells and looks so good I forget .

I have been coming here since a very young child…read more I am completely taken back by the poor customer service I received today. I ordered combo and didn't receive all items. I called to inform them of this and they told me I said à la cart which I didn't even know that they offered à la cart, I have been ordering that same way for the majority of my life. I told the owner that that's not what I said he said "yes it is. I wrote it down" He also said that I said I wanted white rice, which was not the case. I've never ordered white rice. The issue isn't the food being messed up. The issue is him telling me I ordered something that I didn't not and being absolutely hateful. When I tried to explain to him that I wouldn't have said those things and if it's a honest mistake that's fine but please don't tell me I said something I didn't, he responded by mocking me to someone in the background. Zero accountability for his error. A completely nasty person. All my fond memories of eating inside as a child now soiled by a man's weak ego and attempt to gas light me. Honestly I might have believed him and took it as my mistake if I even knew there was an à la carte option or if I ever ordered white rice previously. I miss the former owners. Not only were they exceptionally kind but also never made a mistake. And if they did I'm sure they would have apologized and I would have accepted the apology and went about my day not concerned about the slight misunderstanding. Disgusted. This once positively raved Middletown staple will swiftly decline by simply lacking the ability to be kind to their customers. Me being upset is about how I was treated and him cutting me off and stating that's what I ordered when it absolutely is not. It will be the last time I eat here. And I can already tell others are starting to feel the same after reviewing some recent reviews.

The rice was boiled instead of fried. Weird pink color to the rice and noodles tasted like pre made…read morepackaged noodles

Tasty Takeout and Worth a Return Visit…read more My wife and I tried New Young Chow in Springboro and really enjoyed our meal. She had the sweet and sour chicken, and I had the beef chow mein -- both were delicious and full of flavor. We also ordered the crab rangoon, which wasn't quite up to par compared to the rest of the meal, but not a dealbreaker. Overall, great food and solid service. We'll definitely be going back!

The inside was a bit cluttered and small but looked very clean with approximately 7 booths and 2 tables to seat 6. I did call in my order and the lady that took my order was wast to deal with and even honored with free crab racoon coupon from online with a bill over $40.00. So be sure to checkout the website to score coupons. When I called in I was on a brief hold which was expected for a Friday night. Was told thr food would be ready in 20 minutes and it was ready and bagge up for me. When I did pick up no one greeted me I believe because only 2 was working which I was fine with. Now for the good part. I am pretty disappointed in my self for driving past this place for the last 15 years. I have missed out. For $62.00 we got 1. 4 Teriyaki chicken skewers $7.55 they were pretty small and chewy but the taste was great 2. 6 Crab rangoon free with our order. Full of cream cheese and garlic dipped in sweet n sour. Probably the best take out Rangoon we have had 3. Mongolian Chicken $10.95 with white rice the container was overflowing with green onion, onions, chicken, and a sweet oniony sauce thar hit all the right taste buds. They did mix in the bamboo shots or whatever they are called which I am. Ot a fan of so will ask next time for none, but they were easy to pick out. 4. Sweet n sour chicken $10.95 another big portion and meaty with a golden breading 5. Combination lo mein $10.95 chicken, shrimp, and pork. Again big enough to feed 2 or 3 and really good 6. Pork in garlic sauce $ 9.55 one of my favorite dishes I love how crunchy the broccoli is and tender the prok was.

There were a lot of offerings on the buffet - something to please everyone. It did start out great, but they pretty quickly pulled some of the best items. They replaced egg tarts with....slices of garlic bread?? There are too many non-Chinese items, and the rest never vary. Exact same stuff every day. One offering is pork with mushrooms which is about 90 percent mushrooms in the gravy. It is rarely replenished as it looks full, but there is no meat left. And there's never an actual wonton in the wonton soup, just sad shredded pieces of the dough. You can eat your fill of course on eggrolls, crabless Rangoons, Chinese donuts etc., all of which are great but not exactly a balanced diet. Now the staff here continue to be the nicest, sweetest folks you could hope for. On menu items, they do a fine job on Mongolian Beef and the Egg Foo Young is pretty consistent. Don't expect to be wowed, though they're still the best Chinese restaurant in Preble County. Oh, right....
