I wouldn't return to this restaurant. My daughter requested to go to a Chinese buffet for her birthday a this was the closest one. Much of the food was lukewarm and was very mediocre. The orange chicken was mostly breading. The crab Rangoon was mostly cream cheese. The sweet and sour sauce was watered down. It's just not high quality food. The adult price was about $20. Our four year old ate for $5 and our eight year old for $11- so I appreciated the kids adjustment rate. It was full of people though, so I'm not sure if it's just not for me? The line at the crab legs was out of this world, but because everything was lukewarm I was skeptical about eating their seafood so I steered clear. My eight year old thought it was good. We will look for another Chinese buffet before returning back to this one! read more

Im not sure what the others are talking about saying this place is disgusting and the food is bad. My and my fiance came here today and had a blast! The staff was so kind and efficient. All our food was good, the music was soft and not too overbearing. Spend about 43 dollars for two adults and two drinks. read more

Went in for lunch around 1:30 this place is huge and hardly anyone was there this should have told me something. There was no steam coming from any of the steam tables that keeps the food warm, I didn't even notice until I sat down to eat and it was all cold, everything, food at the wrong temperature can kill you or at least make you very sick, I have no desire to to pay to get sick there are to many good restaurants around that serve hot food to ever go back here they should be shut down before someone gets seriously ill read more

Really great buffet. Very clean, except for some reason the bathroom doesn't always seem so clean. During lunch you may feel a bit more rushed, as they are always pretty busy but this has never deterred me from wanting to go some enjoy their yummy food selection. My daughter always looks forward to their spicy shrimp and I'm always ready to get their bourbon chicken or orange chicken. You won't regret going!! Just remember.... April 7, 2024 - Go for the crab legs and mussels and sample the rest... 12 of the 13 in our group did. One in our group ordered lemon chicken for dinner. It took forever! We had to ask for/order it again too. Once delivered, the lemon sauce was very bland! There is lots of parking. read more

Been going here for almost 20 years still the same the best Chinese buffet restaurant.

Overall not too bad for the lunch buffet price. Unfortunately, some of the items were not hot (just a bit above room temperature).

Okay, I like Chinese and all, but this place was one of the WORST ever! The food was lukewarm at best and that's being nice. The service was good. The atmosphere was typical of a Chinese restaurant. But the food was downright dreadful. I'd eat McDonald's before I'd ever set foot in this place again. Anyone who gave this place 5 stars has zero taste buds at all and should be banned from ever giving a food review for eternity. My husband and I wanted to like the restaurant because the customer service was awesome but the food was cold. The chicken, shrimp, broccoli, noodles, and the egg rolls were cold. Not lukewarm, cold. Go for the lunch buffet! It's only $7.99 and it's HUGE. I don't think they change a thing for dinner, but it's three times the price. There are five long buffets, four of which are double-sided. One of them features some American food options, which I didn't bother trying. My personal favorites of what I tried (I I really did put a bit of EVERYTHING on my plate) was the Chinese Fried Chicken, the pork dumplings and the angel hair noodles. Each of these had SO MUCH FLAVOR. So yes, I went back for more of each. My two year old was mostly interested in the fruit from the dessert bar (grapes and cantaloupe) and some fried rice. Not to mention the soft serve ice cream. I'm never crazy about desserts at Asian buffets, so the soft serve and cakes really didn't do anything for me. I did try their egg custard tarts, but didn't like them. They had more of a cake consistency than a custard consistency and it wasn't very sweet. I'm not a huge fan of buffet's (strike 1) so when my cousin told me he was taking me here for lunch, I was a bit reserved. The buffet is located across the street from Wright Patterson AFB and inside a strip mall (strip mall = strike 2). Walking in, the place was dark (strike 3?) but it didn't have that stale smell of old food like most buffet's do. In fact, the place was super clean and jam packed with folks. I was impressed by the assortment of food items available. Things like steamed mussels, sushi, lumpia and king crab legs seemed to be standards on their menu. The food was excellent. It was flavorful, plentiful and was presented well. When an item got low, they were quick to re-fill or replenish the items. And even though I don't eat desert, the items they had looked darn good. They had three different types of ice cream with all the toppings and sprinkles imaginable and several types of pastries that looked like they we're home made. It was a great bang for buck. As usual, China Garden Buffet did not disappoint. Selection was fantastic and the taste was very good. It had several years since I last visited but it was still truly enjoyable. Been coming here for years. Unfortunately food has gone downhill a little. All the favorites just aren't the same. Sweet potato balls are greasy, beef with onions and green peppers has a strange flavor and beef is often tough. Crispy chicken wings are often way over cooked and almost burnt, same for the chicken skewers. Other chicken dishes appear to be using a different cut. I hope the decline is temporary and due to the pandemic and that things improve soon. I'd like to continue to keep this buffet on my list. read more

Do not eat here ever. Food was below average, everything was cold. When they finally brought out crab legs, they had obviously been sitting in kitchen for hours. Couldn't even eat them-overcooked to death. How you can have cold legs sitting in hot water is a feat I never thought possible. I went on a weekday for lunch and the place was pretty packed and had a steady flow of customers. Standard interior, but it was clean and the server I had was great. This guy was running around nonstop and made sure everyone in my section was taken care of. The food was really solid as well. Nothing was amazing, but everything was solid. The chicken teriyaki both by itself and on a skewer, mushroom chicken, and Kung pao were excellent. I tried a plethora of options and none were bad. The also have Pepsi products btw.
