We went to Eat Rice for the first time today. I was hoping we would love it. But, I was very disappointed. The first thing was they forgot my order of egg rolls. The crab Rangoon had hardly NO cream cheese and I tasted NO crab what so ever. Not even flavoring. The pepper steak had several pieces of fat in it. The vegetable delight looked like it had brown gravy poured on it with a splash of teriyaki in it. The fried rice was over cooked or reheated. Our favorite place closed after 45 years and we miss it terribly. I called to tell them they forgot our egg rolls, got put on hold and after waiting and waiting I hung up. They never bothered to call me so, we won't be going back to Eat Rice. The bill was $32.00 and honestly, not worth it. read more

Good food, but keep an eye out for strands of hair. I've gotten multiple bourbon chicken orders from here and it's happened about twice.

They don't say anything when you walk in, most times they're on their phone. When I asked for my pick up order they walk away. I know they hear me but they don't say "just one minute" VERY rude staff. The store isn't that clean either, I don't think I'll return. read more

I called the owner to demand compensation and he told me it was my fault and he wouldn't help us!! But maggots in the food!! What else is there to say Update: they've finally refunded our money, but the restaurant has called us several times demanding I take down the review because the "maggots aren't from their restaurant" and they're adamantly blaming their vendor. Pros: Fast Beef Lo mein was very good Filling of potstickers was good Hot and sour soup was good Cons: Crab Rangoon had such a small amount of filling I can't even tell you about it. Eat Rice is quickly becoming my favorite Chinese delivery place in this area. The food doesn't seem quite as expensive as most places. For instance, an order of egg rolls is less than $3 and you get two as opposed to one. No other place is doing that. I always order via DoorDash and the food always arrives when I need it to and it's always hot. Chinese carryout with a large menu and decent prices. This is our 'go to' Chinese because of the convenience, prices, flavor and portions. We pre-order online or by phone and the food is prepared quickly. Food is always hot, flavorful and appetizing. "Dinner Combinations" are your best value with an entree, fried rice and egg roll. Garlic Chicken (with a little kick) is my favorite. Wife loves cashew or teriyaki chicken. But we've tried beef & broccoli, bourbon chicken, chicken lo mein, as well as others and never had a combo we didn't like. We always get extra egg rolls (wife LOVES them) and crab rangoon. Two combos (with egg rolls), those EXTRA egg rolls plus crab rangoon still runs us under 20 bucks! They serve SMOOTHIES too (although we've never tried them) - see uploaded menu. Personally, I absolutely loved the food. Now, I will say that I dont particularlly like Asian food. But this hit the spot. Definitely go here if you live I this area, makes for a great dinner spot! We ordered delivery from Eat Rice last night. After waiting 40 minutes for our order, I called them to see if they were still delivering our food. The employees were polite and kind on the phone. I was told they would be there in the next 10 minutes, but waited an additional 30 minutes until our food was finally delivered. We had instructed them to place the food on the porch and ring the door bell when they delivered for a contactless delivery. They did as instructed and waited to make sure we got the food from a distance which I thought was nice. Though, the food was lukewarm by the time we received our order. I ordered my meal with the chicken on the side, in a separate container but there was still pieces of chicken in my fried rice. We did receive free egg rolls which seemed to be a means of apology for our overwhelming wait time for food. One of the fortune cookies we received was already open and spread amongst the bag. The best part of our meal was the plain white rice. We wanted to try a new place to eat and chose Eat Rice from the positive reviews we saw and the vast amount of choices on the menu, but are very much disappointed with our choice. Unsanitary & Food Poisoned I ordered takeout for pickup despite usually having it delivered. After walking in and paying for my food I noticed that all of the people in the kitchen were not wearing gloves. I decided to take a gamble and eat it anyway provided I had already paid for it. I order from Eat Rice at at 2 or 3 times a month. They offer coupons if you spend certain amount of money and I always could the coupons. Today I ordered and spent enough to use the coupon for a free crab Rangoon like always and was told I can't use it because I ordered a dinner combo! The girl on the phone never gets things correct and she called me back saying my card didn't work. She entered it wrong so I gave her the info again and she repeated to me the expiration date as April and not what I told her which was December. Just more to piss on me off! Average Chinese food. My wife and I ordered the chicken teriyaki appetizer, crab rangoons, wonton soup, chicken low mein, and General Tso's chicken. The chicken teriyaki, which is the chicken-on-a-stick for clarification, was okay. There were several large pieces with fat on them, which sadly were very greasy. The crab rangoons were good, but not the best I've had. The wonton soup was okay at first. When I got down to the last spoonfuls with the onions, it developed a very soapy taste which was extremely off putting. The chicken low mein missed the mark. It was lacking in flavor and had a LOT of onions it. I know there are supposed be a decent amount, but there were some many they were simply unavoidable. The General Tso's was not very good either. There were several pieces that were hard or not good quality and the sauce was just not good. We had been ordering from Eat Rice for some time, But the past 3 - 4 orders have been subpar. The appetizers used to be very good but the fried items are now lacking. The chicken wings and butterfly shrimp were very oily and underdone as if the oil was not hot when fried. We have to reheat in broiler oven to try to drain off the excess oil that had been absorbed. The oil on the wings also ate into the Styrofoam container and it stuck the chicken. The Crab Rangoon that we received yesterday had a filling that was BROWN! I got to tell you my home is right around the corner from this place quick drive and nice little stroll I usually do delivery but I've walked in a few times and I've never honestly never been disappointed. It's just a little hole in the wall definitely family-owned you are most likely see Munchkins on the side somewhere playing with toys or video games but the food is so well done driver's waiting on the side to make deliveries they got their game on and tasty and a different kind of batter for the chicken wing and if it's tempura batter I can't tell best still just as yummy read more

If you are looking for decor, please go elsewhere. This is your average hole in the wall takeout joint in an above average looking shopping center. And as with any hole in the wall, if you are looking for all star service, please don't waste your time (Although they have always been generally friendly to me...) As far as "Americanised Chinese" it's not too bad. However their Yung Chow Fried Rice is stupid good. Just the right amount of pork and shrimp. I order it every single time. It (And the fruit smoothies- see below) are the only reason I give the place 5 stars. As far as everything else (the egg rolls, crab Rangoon, General Tso Chicken, etc.) it's pretty average, and in some cases like the broccoli beef or the Egg Foo Young, it's lik super duper plain average. ALL OTHER THINGS ON THE MENU ARE BASIC AMERICAN CHINESE DISHES. So in case you didn't get the point, do not expect anything other than the Yung Chow Fried Rice to blow you away. At the same time, I haven't had anything here that was disappointing. It's all solid 3 to 4 star food. Good food for when you're lazy to cook or its cold and you want to hunker down and watch a movie with some good delivery Chinese. The other thing that I really enjoy besides the fried rice is the fresh fruit smoothies. I am partial to the Pineapple Smoothie myself. Ordered food at 5:22 got food at 7:00. Me and my family wanted to get Chinese we were all tired and saw that this did delivery so we ordered food at 5:22 and waited about an hour when our food had not arrived we called and were told that they had closed because of this we went to go buy food somewhere else we crossed it on the way there and it said it was open on the door so we go in and they tell us it was a credit card issue so we fix it and they charge us 42$ our food cost 32$ they charged us a delivery fee and tip for the delivery driver.
