My experience was TERRIBLE. Walked in to grab an order as a dasher for my customer, and the woman working, whom I'm assuming may be the owner, was very rude. She kept demanding that I confirm the order, and I was asking her if there was a receipt as I have to snap a picture of it to then confirm the order. This woman proceeded to snatch my phone out of my hand to try and confirm the order for me. Realizing she didn't know what the Hek she was doing, I grabbed my phone back and asked to see a receipt to confirm my order. Us dasher are here to help you, and you should treat them as so. What can I say that is positive... their egg rolls were good. I also liked their hot and sour soup. The General Tso's chicken was average and maybe a little more on the sweet side. We have ordered here a few times and are happy enough with the taste of the food. What's concerning to me is that with each order, we are contacted by phone and "encouraged" to pay with cash. Pressured is a better word. The last time we ordered (which will be THE last time), when I repeatedly explained that I don't carry cash, she asked for a check and to leave the paid to blank. This just went from weird to concerning. I emphatically said I would pay with my debit card. I picked up the order to find a table set up with random items for sale (generic cheerios, kids watches, etc - it seemed much like an garage sale). I was glad we weren't dining in. The final straw was the staff "offering" (more like forcing) us an order of crab rangoon for us to pay with cash next time. Very strange ... too strange to overlook. read more

This is a great little spot. Will the Chinese food change your life? No. But when was the last time you had a meal that did? The food at Fuying is really good, flavors a are well balanced and the staff is great. Reading some of the negative reviews on here, the people's profiles seem like they just like to complain. Blasting places with a bunch of low reviews. Get a life. Kind of sucks that businesses have to deal with people like that. Says more about the reviewer than the restaurant. The owner would not acknowledge my presence, and I stood for 10 minutes waiting. There is a barricade of tables around the counter, so you can't get any closer. When she finally came out with my food, bagged up and ready to go, instead of giving it to me, she asked everyone in line behind me. What they were there for, and proceeded to take an order from a person in line behind me before handing me my food. Also, the food wasn't even that great. Both the food and service were excellent! The food was fresh & cooked perfectly. I was astounded they had only been open 1 week. They bent over backwards in graciousness & helpfulness. I took the rest of my order to go and they insisted on cooking some fresh crunchy wontons to go with my leftover soup. I wish I lived near here-I would be a regular! read more

The egg roll didn't seem cooked through and was very chewy. The fried rice was dry. They were a dollar more than other places for what I ordered. I've been here four times since they opened. This is not a bad place. Flavors are distinct and the food is good. They are a little bit pricey. Steer clear of the fried rice they serve with the combos. It's dry and the peas are hard as a rock. Another thing is there is no small or large options. Everything is apparently large (based on the pricing). This is bad for people like me who like to make a meal out of two small portions of different things. Really great spot! We got egg drop soup and hot and sour - both great. Egg roles which were some of the best I've had. For entrees we got chicken and vegetables and hunan chicken. Both were tasty with lots of veggies. Overall a great and affordable option in the vandalia area! read more

Just ordered carryout for the first time and it was delicious! Beef with Mixed vegetables was really good. Beef was tender and the veggies were fresh. Crab Rangoon was really good too! Husband said the Kung Pao Chicken was good too. Will definitely order again! About time we get a decent Chinese restaurant in town again! read more

I have gotten take out here a few times and I loved it. First, let me say the people who work there are probably the nicest Chinese take out workers you will ever meet. They were so friendly to my kids and even gave them some candy and let them try a crab rangoon while we waited for out food. The last time we ordered enough food they gave us a free order of their crab rangoons. I have never had to wait more than 5 or 6 minutes for my order even though I do not phone ahead. I have tried several items on the menu and liked them all. Take a chance and try the curry chicken. The one thing I notice about this place is the veggies in the dishes just seem a little fresher than other Chinese take out places. So between the food, the service, and the convenience of the place, I recommend it. Realize it for what it is. It is a good Chinese take out place with fast, friendly service.
