For the first time use China ones delivery service. It was excellent and on time. The food was still very hot and extremely well packaged. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and we will be returning often to this restaurant. Food is not bad. I am still waiting on an order I placed over an hour ago. I called them and at first, they said it would be another 50 minutes. i'm very picky, this was close and convenient. fast service, but the beef was very soft and chewy, fried rice tasted mushy and overcooked, my broccoli also tasted over cooked and was very soft and mushy, lastly the inside of my rangoons was smooth and slimy like icing and there was hardly any filling at all. read more

Man, this place used to be the best. I got really bad service 4 years ago and stopped coming. I returned and ordered online for pickup. Showed up 40 minutes later and they hadn't looked at my order. They charged me then told me it was going to be 20 minutes. So it took an hour to get our food. Do yourself a favor and just go to CJ Chan. Visiting Ohio from California I'm very picky about Chinese food but my daughter said China 1 was pretty good. Not wanting to drive too far I agreed to try it plus it was almost closing time. I will definitely be back when I visit Ohio again. The appetizer, Honey Boneless Rib was outstanding, and very plentiful. The vegetable lo mein was perfect and tasty and the Crab Rangoon was also very good. Price wise it was appropriate and not outrageous. Good place for basic Chinese carryout. Food is standard fare for this type of place. Service is fast, and usually friendly. I've noticed them being short on the phone with customers, but meh, that doesn't faze me. Get the order, get it out the door. They do that well enough. It is somewhat difficult to find a Chinese restaurant that has amazing food and is cheap - don't get me wrong I adore China Cottage but when I want to binge eat and watch bad movies, nothing can beat the prices of China 1. We ordered for date night tonight for delivery from the Alex Bell location. We have ordered in the past with no problems. Food is always consistent, good. Tonight my fiance bit into a thumb tack which was in his egg foo young. I called to speak to a manager, and was answered by two separate people on the phone. No Leadership there. I asked for a credit on our meal, basic and simple. We did not open the other items in our meal after the thumb tack fiasco. I was told to bring back the rest of the items to get a full refund. I demanded they come back to pick it up, this was not our fault. It was theirs. I was given a very difficult and rude time on the phone. I guess we will see if they refund. We support local business, but the arguing I received on the other end of the phone was ridiculous. Never again will we order from them. Ordered online and ordered the wrong meal. I called right away to change my order. The female that answered the phone was very polite, but said she couldn't help me. She said the manager was on the floor and she would have HER call me back within 5 minutes. A gentleman, that barely spoke English, called me right back. I explained to him what had happened. He told me that my food was already on it's way. I told him that I wouldn't be paying for it since they couldn't change my order. Ordered delivery tonight and they called back and said the credit card wasn't working and it worked fine. Delivery took an hour then they did not deliver the food that was ordered. We called back and told them, they were going to come bring the right dinner but wanted the other dinner back and wanted us to keep the "old rice" since it was fine.
