My go to Chinese take out spot! Their sweet n sour chicken is my favorite. They also have really good shrimp fried rice and crab rangoons. Service is fast and reliable. read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. We placed an order around 6:00 PM this evening. Our previous order had mistakes as well, but we chose not to complain. Unfortunately, this order was incorrect again, and we still remained patient. The most frustrating part happened later in the evening when the driver returned after 10:00 PM with an attitude, stating they could not accept a $20 bill because it was missing a small part of the side. The face and serial number were still clearly visible. And it wasn't an issue when I handed it to him, along with a 30% tip (less than 2 mile drive). I have to be up for work at 3:45 AM, and I did not appreciate having to deal with this late at night when I should have already been in bed. I understand mistakes happen, but the repeated order issues and the way this situation was handled made for a very disappointing experience read more

I order the sweet and sour chicken combo plate with lo mein. The food was pretty good and fulfilling. It is just like your normal Chinese food place. read more

China Garden - Sweet and sour chicken with Lo mein - Chinese Near Me - Middletown, Ohio

Let's be honest here. This is the best take out American Chinese food within 10-15 miles. Now since they have new owners you have to stick to the basics like the stuff that gets ordered often but that's with every Chinese restaurant. Sesame chicken, the general, dumplings, fried rice, lo mein, and many other items are delicious and will exceed your expectations. Now I will give you all a note for optimal Chinese take out experience. Always have your own soy sauce at home. No packets. Ew gross. Go to your local market and look for Sweet Mae Ploy sauce if you like sweet garlicy spicy sauce for your grab ragoon. Go get some Bachan sauce original for your egg rolls. These are must haves for American Chinese take out. Please check this place out and support a local Chinese family!!! The mom and son that work there work their a$$ off. I always to take out no delivery. So I have no experience with that. read more

This place has always been so good been coming here for years well two nights ago I order General sauce with fried rice one hour later I puked so bad and couldn't stop the next day my lungs and stomach and ribs hurt so bad from sick I thought I was gonna die. .They need to take inventory on their chicken to make sure that it's not bad because I definitely was food poisoning from bad chicken. read more

This has been our go to place for Chinese takeout for many years. Food is always fresh and tasty. They also offer delivery with friendly drivers. Some of the dishes can be a little too sweet, like General Tso's chicken. You will get a lot of food for your money. We are always amazed at how heavy the delivery bag is! read more

Worst food ever!!!!! Don't walk, run from this place. Horrible customer service!!!!! Returned uneaten food and accused of eating. Got steak instead of chicken. Missing egg roll got accused of eating. Took receipt and refused refund!!!!!!!!! By the way, keep receipt so I will contact bank. read more

Best Chinese restaurant in the Dayton / surrounding area . Little pricy but what isn't

To be very honest with you, I didn't realize that Chinese/American food was so very, very tasty, until I tried this China Garden on University Blvd, here in Middletown. Please believe me when I say this is my favorite place to eat, the food the family oriented atmosphere and they pay very close attention to detail, so everything is cooked the way you like it. if you get a chance stop by and order some mouth watering Chinese food, I guarantee you'll be hooked like me!! Thank you China Garden you are very appreciated and thank you for serving us!! read more

This was the worst and overpriced Chinese Food I have ever had. The Seseme Beef was 98% breading and very little beef and the sauce was so sweet it was disgusting. Thru most of it away. The Generals Chicken was about the same. I would highly recommend avoiding this so called Chinese restaurant, it was PURELY a WASTE OF Money. Was good a few years ago but A PATHETIC WASTE OF MONEY NOW. read more

I have to admit, we've been coming here for years. It's not the end all, be all of American-Chinese cuisine, but it'll do if you're in the mood for something Asian for dinner. And quite frankly, the food quality has started to go downhill. My problem is with the staff. They are curt, bordering on rude. While we were waiting on our dinner, one of the cooks started laughing at our order, turned around and told the other cooks and just kept going on and on. No, I don't speak Mandarin or Cantonese, but I can pick out a word or two, especially when our order was the one he was obsessing over. And the "hostess" said nothing! Not even that he needed to be quiet as the customers are sitting right there. We probably would have left but we charged our meal and my husband said it would just be a hassle to get her to cancel our card. I can guarantee, we will not be back. read more

I was traveling for work and was unaware that everything closes early in Ohio, so when I saw this restaurant and the staff were still at work, they allowed me to make a purchase. After a difficult day at work, I was quite appreciative of this restaurant and its staff. The food was fantastic, and I will most likely return. read more

Changed owners and the food is terrible now this was the best place in town. Soooo disappointing won't be back.

China Garden is HANDS DOWN the BEST Chinese takeout restaurant in at least a 10 mile radius. Their quality and taste are unmatched. Our food has always been fresh and scorching hot whether it was delivered or picked up. My boyfriend and I religiously order the same thing every time, a large vegetarian delight, an order of vegetable mi fung, some white rice and plenty of spring rolls to share. The flavors and freshness are on point every. single. time. I cannot rave enough about this place. Their prices are extremely fair for the quality and serving size of the dishes as well. Plus there's the added bonus of free spring or egg rolls with orders over $10! We are and always will be loyal customers. If you order Chinese takeout from anywhere else other than China Garden you are making a huge mistake. read more

This Chinese restaurant has won a national award. Please don't ask me what it's for. It's an AWARD WINNING RESTAURANT. When my husband and I were hosting a student visiting from China, she was interested in going here. Why go to a Chinese restaurant in Middletown, OH when you're from China? I don't know. I don't think I'd go to an American restaurant in China..... But we did take our visiting friend, who had the opportunity to speak Mandarin (she wanted to speak Cantonese :( ) with several people working there, so she was happy. She also praised the food, but I'm not sure it was an honest assessment. I don't ever remember her criticizing a place we ate. That said, I do enjoy the food here and the generous portions. The folks who work here are always friendly and efficient. There's never a long wait for the meal, and it tastes delicious. Of course, I only get sweet and sour chicken, so I can't really offer much about the other menu items. The pork fried rice is very good. The food does not taste too greasy to me, but it still has that "I'm eating in a strip mall Chinese fast food restaurant" effect. The decor is clean and neat, but not necessarily cozy. It's a good place for lunch or for take-out for dinner. I don't recommend it for a romantic meal or to celebrate a significant anniversary. :) read more

Every time I visit Middletown this is a place for lunch. Some of the coworkers introduced me to this restaurant and I tell you it's definitely the best in town. Their prices are reasonable and the food is great! Give them a try you won't be disappointed. read more

The search for good Chinese continues. I am not pleased with the main course. We got shrimp and snow peas and shrimp and broccoli. The shrimp was really ODD tasting. My son who loves shrimp took one bite and said "mom call them and tell them the shrimp is spoiled". The spring rolls were crunchy but bland. And the crab Rangoon were tasteless and chewy. Same with the pork fried rice, blah. I didn't order combo plates but that's what I got. I guess it worked out since we didn't eat it and the combos are cheaper. I called. They offered to replace it IF I brought the food back. I said no thanks. No I'm out 20 bucks and I feel queasy from the weird shrimp I ate. The good Chinese food search continues. read more

This place will 3.5 stars. It was little better than just A-ok & Yeah I am a fan. This place has more stars than any other Chines restaurants I reiewed on Yelp. Since I was visiting Ohio, I thought I should try local restuarant other than the chain restaurant. Their menu was long. I mean long. Not so sure how can can cook over 50 different kind of dish... (no I didn't count it all but it's a lot :P) I thought it was okay food. Surprisingly fried rice was pretty good. read more

Probably the best Chinese food in Middletown area. It isnt decorated real nice and the chairs are uncomfortable but they make it for it with great service and pretty good food. Price is reasonable but the drink selection (cans or 2 liters only) is a weird touch. The orange chicken and Schezuan Chicken is very good along with the egg rolls. Not a bad lunch spot at all. read more

China Garden - a man sitting at a table with a plate of food - Chinese Near Me - Middletown, Ohio

These guys are a real good option, especially for this part of town. The menu is big and well executed. They also deliver which is a huge plus. Their sauces are a bit sweet to me, but I like the spicy stuff. If I am not driving out of town...this is the Asian place I choose. read more

This is the best Chinese food restaurant around, hands down. I love their sweet n sour chicken and fried rice. I have tried all the other local Chinese restaurants and they don't even compare. read more

Good takeout Chinese food, especially for the area. Great service. We order from here about once a week.

I love eating here with my girlfriend. She loves it too. We like to get the crab Rangoon as an appetizer. I get the gen Taos chicken or the pork ribs or the sweet and sour chicken. Egg rolls are always good. The pork fried rice is yummy. My girlfriend likes to get the garlic chicken, and the steamed dumplings, and lomein. They also bring your food out super fast when you dine in. It's definitely the best Chinese in Middletown. Don't listen to the haters on here. They wouldn't be constantly popping with customers if they sucked. read more

I have been getting take out from there for years. This is the best place to purchase Chinese in Middletown. Just sure which they would have homemade mustard. Traveling all over the U.S. My main thing was if the restaurant did not have homemade mustard then they were not a good Chinese restaurant. Well this placed well up in the marks and is great place to eat. read more

Wonderful food and fast delivery times. We order here freqiently! The family that owns this restaurant are so nice

Pretty good Chinese. They have a lot of special orders they can make sometimes, but not other times, which I find hilarious. This is not one of those gross Chinese restaurants though. They make high quality food for a good price. read more

Without a doubt the worst service ever . i ordered MU-SHU beef ..... looked like they ran it thru a blender ! I managed a Chinese restaurant in Atlanta for years, this place should be embarrassed for some of the garbage they serve. Most Americans are lacking in knowledge of the ingredieants & sauces that make Chinese food unique !!! read more

I got the Mongolian chicken ( mild spice) and fried rice which was amazing. My boyfriend got the Hunan chicken (sweet) and fried rice which he said was good. We both got hot and sour soup, one soup came free. The soup was a little thick but good. We got it delivered, was a little slow. Reasonably priced. I see us ordering again in the future. read more

Absolutely love this restaurant. It's convenient because it is close to the area I live and they deliver, but even with that being said I have been hard pressed to find a better Chinese restaurant on the area. Great food and a super friendly staff. One of the few great places to eat in middletown! read more

We often get the take out here. Probably two or three times a month. The house fried rice, sweet-and-sour chicken, egg rolls and crab Ragoons are always delicious! read more

The rearest chinese restruant between where I lived. It is just a chinese restruant， I mean，it taste just so so for me. But they have great delievery serves. I give food 3 star but delievery 5 star ，then they have 4 star. read more

YUM. We have eaten here quite often (more than two or three times a month) for the past several years. They always cook to order, the food is piping hot and fresh and the staff is very pleasant and efficient. After eating here so often, they got to know what our favorites were. We loved the double cooked pork, the kung pow chicken, the sesame chicken. The spicy dishes were not overly hot. We've moved away and will miss eating this good food. It's not a fancy restaurant but what it lacks in ambiance it makes up for in price, quantity and quality. We REALLY miss having a delicious chinese take out nearby. When we visit, we will eat here again. We recommended this to many friends and took friends and family to eat here over the years always with positive comments. read more

Gotta Love the China Garden. For a take out Chinese Restaurant they are second to none. My whole family kids and all love it when we order from there. We usually order about twice a month. The Egg Drop soup is fabulous and so is the Egg Foo Young Can't get enough! Delivery is fast and friendly too. Ordering can be a little tricky during busy times but hey its good thats why! read more

Food was adequate, but the servers and owner treated us terribly and said rude things about us being black, not knowing I speak fluent Mandarin until I went up and said something. Will never go back again. read more

By far the best Chinese food I have ever had. You would be hard pressed to find a better Chinese restaurant in the surrounding area.

Best Chinese food in Middletown, Ohio. I have been going here for over 10 years and the food has always been satisfactory. Extensive selection and it appears that the entire extended family is employed cooking, which is how they manage to pull off the always hot meals. Very glad that they added delivery as well. read more
