I then noticed what seemed to be slightly undercooked (for my liking) chicken breast strips. I was at home and didn't have the time to drive back to the restaurant so I chose to put the chicken pieces in my wok and heat them to my liking. I have been eating here on and off for over 5 years. Yep my first check in and can't believe I haven't done it before. This location is right next to Starbucks coffee if you haven't been hear. I really like the chicken on a stick (not sure the actual name off the top of my head). I normally order the Mei Fun (I think I have that right) or the fried dumplings (yep an appetizer as a meal). I will say I haven't found anything I don't like here, but it is your typical Chinese fast food. I really wish they offered more authentic Chinese foods vice all the Americanized stuff, but hey it is still good. By far the shittiest Chinese restaurant that I've ever been to in my life, save the one that was closed down by the health department. I've never had raw wontons after they've been deep-fried but true to my disbelief sure enough they were raw. we went over the loin. You really can't mess that up now can you well I will say they did man I've ever seen in my life quite frankly I bet it could change the oil if the amount of grease that was inside of this lo mein. The kid that was working the front didn't know what any of the dishes were and he had to have the older lady come out tell him what it was. Usually, I would expect a restaurant of this low caliber at least have some sort of ambience to bring you in to the restaurant but now it's it's in a strip mall, rundown sign next to another rundown restaurant and I wouldn't recommend it. The best crab Rangoon! This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. I don't live locally anymore, but stop in every time I'm in Ohio. I love the seseame chicken, general Taos, or orange chicken, and crab Rangoon. The egg rolls aren't my favorite, I would recommend subbing the crab Rangoon for egg rolls in the combo meals. Combo meals are enough food for 2 meals for me. I have been going to New China for nearly 10 years and at least twice monthly. The service and food are excellent - consistently yummy, fast and economical. They recognize us when we arrive and ask about family members that may not have joined. They can know our order without asking . It's hard to find a place that delivers to our house, so when we found out that this place delivers, we knew we had to try it. We ordered right thru Yelp, their website took us to Chinesemenu.com. It was very easy, and their phone site was user friendly. We ordered the House Special Chow Mei Fun, Orange Chicken combo, and the Bao Bao Platter for two. The Chow Mei Fun was amazing, soft thin noddles with chicken, pork, shrimp, and beef. Tossed nicely with a light sauce, and they give you a enough for two people. The Orange Chicken combo came with fried rice, broccoli, and an egg roll. Again the portion was large, the chicken was crispy, sweet, spicy, and very tender. The rice was really good too, the broccoli was very fresh looking, with large pieces, and the egg roll was large. The Bao Bao was delicious, it came with 2 egg rolls, 2 beef teriyaki sticks, 2 crab Rangoon, 2 spare ribs, 2 large fried shrimps, and 2 fried wontons. I stop at the Starbucks next to it all the time, and always wanted to try this place. I'm glad I was able to try it, there are Chinese places closer to my house but we don't like them, plus with this place delivering it makes it a lot easier to order more often. Last Saturday evening, we were getting a little hungry and also a little lazy as the thought of cooking a meal was too much as we were enjoying the Indycar Race from Detroit on the TV, With my trusty Android I started to look for some food for delivery. As I searched, pizza came up time after time and then this place New China which is less than a mile "as the proverbial big black bird flies" from our house. We had called them a long time ago and they did not deliver so I had discounted them as an option. Having a hankering for some Chinese Food, we dove into their menu and placed an on-line order at 4:30P. We had not had Chinese in a long while and the choices were just too daunting, but we persevered. I was surprised at check-out as one of the options was 'Pay Cash On Delivery' which I selected. If it had been a pizza with a thirty minute promise, it would have been free. The meal arrived in 35 minutes in a huge bag at 5:05P and by the size and weight we knew that too much had been ordered. In fact the meal in the bag fed us Saturday Evening, Sunday Evening and Monday Evening. There was still a little left that got tossed on Monday. The next things I write here will be somewhat oxymoronic as the thing we appreciated made the food taste weird. I have not had Chinese food in quite a while and the taste initially was quite bland. The obvious thing is that MSG was not present and the level of salt if any added to the food was minimal or nonexistent. The Won Ton Soup tasted a whole lot better after I added salt. Heaven forbid that I should do that but it's a heck of a lot better than trying to remove high levels of salt which is usually present in restaurant food. Adding a bit of salt helped a lot. As we got into the Chicken Fried Rice, the Beef Lo Mein, Beef with Snow Peas and Orange Chicken we added salt to each of them to add to the flavor. We also had Chicken Egg Foo Young which was just great the way it came. All of the food came in those cardboard standard take-out boxes that we've been using it seems since the first half of the last century and none were labeled which was a little disappointing as we had to open each and guess what was in it as many dishes look similar. Not a big deal but a marking pen when the food was packed would have made things a little easier. If you are on a salt reduced diet, this is probably a great place to order from, if you're not then get out the salt and add to taste. The food was very good, well prepared, hot and delivered quickly so we give them an 'A-' or perhaps an 'A' No "A+" because they did not pack any chopsticks and the boxes were not labeled. The lack of salt in retrospect was a good thing as we got to add to taste and not bitch about there being too much salt as we often do. No headache or and no hunger 10 minutes later so no MSG. I ordered the broccoli in garlic sauce ("normal spicy") and vegetable fried rice, while my husband ordered the beef with broccoli special combination for delivery. I took one taste of my food and could not palate another bite. As much as I wanted to get my money's worth by eating what I had ordered, I could not get past the sweetness of the purportedly spicy broccoli dish and the complete lack of flavor in the fried rice. It has almost no mushrooms in it and seemed more like a sour, thick version of egg drop soup. New to the area and had an crazing for Pepper Steak. New China was the first closest restaurant with high rating so I called. First off, after saying my order they didn't ask name or give a time. It was around 2pm when I picked my order up and asked for soy sauce she said it would be in the bag, it was not. Good thing I had some buried in my pantry. Their sizing is quite small. For $9.95 I received a lunch special quantity for dinner prices. The menu I received with my meal after calling even shows lunch 11am-3pm is $6.25 after calling they said that special isn't for Sunday's it doesn't say that on the menu or the restaurant menu. Rip off and the white rice was old and stale. Not fresh. And the meal is pepper steak ie green peppers and flank steak have enough steak not juice, onion, chunky green pepper and a few slivers of steak. Overall rip off!!! read more

This was one of my favorite non-authentic Chinese restaurants until about two years ago. I have ordered from there about 5 times in the past two years and instead of getting better, they get worse. The food used to be good, a bit better than most of the other restaurants with the same offerings. But the price is higher than the others. Now the quality has slipped and the price is higher. I ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan, not Moo Goo Gai Soup. The prices on their most recent menus are not the prices that they charge. The young boy(12?) that is running the register can't count. When I called in my order, they told me that it would be 15 minutes. It takes me 15 minutes to get there and I got my order 15 minutes after I arrived.
