I was recommended Thai Kitchen by a friend, but unfortunately was disappointed by my experience. I came in on a weekday lunch and it was almost empty inside. The decor is nothing special, though the place was pretty clean. I ordered a lunch special that let me choose 2 entrees so I have more variety. For this, I got the red curry and fried rice, both with pork (because I couldn't choose 2 different proteins, apparently). The red curry did not have much spice nor flavor to it, and honestly all I really tasted was sweetness. That should not be the most prominent flavor profile when having red curry, and it totally threw me off. While the fried rice did taste decent, I was not a big fan of the big chunks of baby corn in it. I personally don't believe baby corn belongs in fried rice of any kind. The other elements of the lunch special, the spring roll and the sweet potato roll, were rather mediocre. Overall, the food was not authentic AND did not taste good, so my experience was pretty bad. All in all I will return to try other dishes. Just one thing to mention. While waiting for my meal I observed our waitress take two rolls of toilet paper to the restrooms. We went around noon on a Sunday and were seated quickly. It wasn't very busy. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and has a fun vibe. Service throughout was very attentive and quick. Food was good. My fried got the Kow Soi which was fantastic! Love the mustard green and curry combination. I got the master drunken noodle which was fine. They used the big shrimp which I appreciate. Scallop was a little mushy. I think I'm just not a fan of egg noodles and probably should have gone with the traditional drunken noodle. We both got hot. It was a bit too spicy for me haha but my friend was not at all fazed, so take that with a grain of salt. Cute interior, nice complete typical menu including many sushi options, and fabulous service! Some nice chefs specials as well offered, but we stuck with our classics of red curry chicken for me and pad Thai noodles with only noodles and sauce for her. The dishes were a little bit on the sweeter side, so be prepared for that (but we liked them that way). Again, service was excellent and it was a busy night! Staff super friendly, stopped in to make a to-go order, I was given menu and a place to sit while I looked at it for our first visit and have ordered online and stopped in for pick up multiple times since. Got to try their new location tonight. The inside was beautiful! I loved the decor. They had garage doors that could be opened on a nice evening, which is very cool! Loved the 'green' wall of plants. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive all night. We shared the spring rolls which were yummy. My companion had the sesame chicken and I tried the bourbon chicken. Both were excellent. Went for late lunch on a Sunday with my husband and our 4 year old. She Ioves "noodles" (chicken & veggie lomein) and was a big fan. The lomein had lots of fresh veggies and big pieces of chicken. Husband had the bourbon chicken and said it was good, less sweet than he expected (which he liked). I had the TK Garden, which is crispy tofu and fresh cooked veggies with peanut sauce. Great little trendy Thai spot. Located diagonally across the street from the Dayton Mall. The food is great and the choices are endless. The food comes out quick no matter what you order. For kids they offer chicken fried rice or popcorn chicken. My daughter loves the chicken satay though. I personally ordered the Drunken Master Noodles but it had two much basil for me but it was very flavorful. The brown sauce is probably my favorite so ordering Mixed Vegetables from the wok with your choice of meat is most likely going to be my go to. My wife likes the cashew nut with chicken but we all agree that their fried rice is wonderful. The service is good and quick as well. I love me some good Thai, and since moving away from Dayton many years ago, I wasn't up on good Thai options. Enter Thai Kitchen. This lovely little eatery, tucked away near the Dayton Mall, offers an astounding variety of options for lunch and dinner, including soups, sushi, salads, rice and noodle dishes, and curries. The staff is welcoming and helpful with questions, and lunch comes with egg drop soup, which is very lovely. Our party ordered a variety of dishes, including seaweed salad, chicken satay, veggie noodle soup, Thai eggplant, and both yellow and masaman curries, all of which were flavored beautifully, and arrived at exactly the right temperature. The pricing is exceptionally reasonable for the quality and quantity, and I will absolutely be back next time I'm in town and in need of good Thai. read more

We enjoyed them all -- great flavor and texture. Do be aware that they aren't playing around with the heat scale. It goes "no heat", "mild", "medium", "hot", "Thai hot." "Mild" means "some burn," and "medium" means "a distinct burn that builds up in your mouth over the meal." I like a moderate-but-not-painful burn, and medium was hitting my limit. Service was friendly and prompt, even though we were a large party. I love that you can scan a QR code on your bill and pay with your phone -- no futzing around with cards.
