Singha Thai had been on my list of places to try for quite some time. I've attempted calling in a take out order once before, but the wait was close to an hour so we opted for somewhere else. I was finally able to try it recently, after only a 45 minute wait after placing the take out order. Chicken pad thai (no sprouts) is my go-to. They didn't ask what spice level over the phone, but the receipt upon pick up listed mild. Overall, it was alright. The noodles were quite stuck together which made it hard to eat with chopsticks as it was one large clump. The sauce was a bit fishy, maybe from fish sauce, but it was overpowering. Great menu, and we both select Seafood Crazy Noodle. Egg Noodle stir fried with shrimp, squid, scallop, mussel, broccoli, carrot, white onion, mushroom, basil and bell paper, and lime leaves in sweet toasted chili paste. The service is excellent. They are anticipatory and there when you need something without hovering. Note the dining area is small, it's a small place in a strip mall behind the town 'n Country shopping center. They have a lot of choices on the menu and everything we got was well made and tasty. One of my party of three is vegan, and there was enough variety to please him. Sadly, any pictures I took where halfway through the meal, as we tore into everything right away. The food is delicious! But their service is atrocious. They often take a long time for orders. Today I ordered food at 6:30 for carry out. Originally told pick up at 7:30 -- after sitting in restaurant for over half an hour, just got food at about 10 min after 8. Sigh. At least it will be tasty, if incredibly slow. I recently discovered how much I love Thai Curry! I've been trying different places around Dayton and so far of the ones I've tried this is by far the best. I was in the area and couldn't resist picking up some Thai food from a restaurant I hadn't tried yet. Glad it was takeout since there is zero atmosphere here and almost has the look of a chain inside- eek. (But it's not.) No alcohol served. A couple reviews from 2020 say it's BYOB, not sure if that's the case. Anyway, not a date night destination by any means. The counter was very big and appeared to be the starting point. I got the impression you'd order there if dining in and they bring it out, though I don't know that for sure. I saw a mask-wearing person from the kitchen bring food out. My takeout was handled by a very nice trainee who was cheerful and helpful. But, food. We brought home three dishes: Pork Pad Thai. Five stars. Such complex flavors that came together beautifully. Meat had excellent texture and there was a perfect amount of crunchy ground peanuts. It came with a lime wedge that enhanced the taste delightfully. (Usually I've seen lemon with this dish.) It was perfect. Vegetable Thai Fried Rice. While the requested 3 of 4 spice level was just what I wanted, it really didn't have a lot of flavor. Just heat. I actually added soy sauce. Didn't care for the inclusion of tomatoes. Green Curry Chicken. Superb. Rich, nutty, perfectly hot-sweet with lots of veggies including eggplant, and plenty of bamboo. Meat was tender and generous. Sticky white rice was great. I chose spice level 3 (out of 4, with 4 being "Thai Spicy" which speaks for itself). Level 3 was really hot, especially the curry. I'm thinking next time I'd ask for 2 1/2 if they could arrange that. This restaurant is pretty far from me so will probably not be back anytime soon, but will update if I do. read more

Ordered the chicken crispy spring rolls (10/10!), pad Thai with chicken (7/10, solid dish), and crispy pad Thai (6/10). Possibly my new favorite Thai place in Dayton! The sampler is a great way to try all the favorite apps. Hot tea is jasmine with a lemon slice; plus a pot of water. Very floral and tasty. Pad Thai was delicious; definitely on the authentic side with fish sauce you can taste. Mild spice in this was not noticeable. But the mango curry was the star of the show. So sweet, savory, and delicious. We got mild spice in this too and it was pretty spicy, as to be expected in a red curry. The space is modern, and was almost full when we walked in in a Wednesday night. The staff are friendly and boxed up our leftovers for us. We'll definitely be back! read more

Very pleasantly surprised. My in-laws had been talking about this great find, and we were so fortunate to accompany them on their latest visit here. It's a little hard to find, tucked away near the rear of a shopping plaza but well worth the effort. Simple but pleasant dining room. Great service. Nice selections on the menu and good prices. True Score- 4.55/5 Stars Walked right in on a Saturday for lunch and had a table. We were greeted with waters, however it took a while for the waiter to come take our orders. Food: We started with the steamed pork pot stickers, and they were probably the best I have ever had. The special soy dipping sauce really sets them off with flavor. My girlfriend ordered the crunch Pad Thai, and I ordered Pork Basil Fried Rice. Both dishes were great, and had very large servings. One thing we both noticed, was that despite the large servings, the ingredients were so high quality and cleanly made, we had no bloating. It was incredible. Both dishes tasted very good, and the high quality ingredients is what made the flavor shine. For dessert, we ordered the mango sticky rice, and it was also excellent. Very, very flavorful and sweet. I don't really even like Mango and I loved it! Before we left, we ordered 2 Thai Teas, one with lemon creamer, and the other with milk. They were both good, but I far preferred the Lemon. Price: Now, to price. All of that mentioned above, made appealing on the dish and with high quality ingredients, was 40 dollars. That is great. I over spent for a lunch, but that is excellent pricing for a sit down and eat experience. And thats with an appetizer, 2 entrees, dessert, and 2 specialty drinks. I did dock .1 point here though, because I don't believe there was any lunch options. So entrees may be a bit pricy for most looking for lunch options. If there were lunch prices, I did not see them. Service: The service was good after we initially waited long after being seated. The server was very personable, offering me his recommendations on their best food and drink. And, he delivered! They were all good. They also box your leftovers for you, which is a nice touch. Facilities: The facilities were very clean. A+ here. However, it was very small. I can see dining in being a huge issue at dinnertime. Thus, loss of points. However, what they do with the space they have is incredible. I've eaten at dozens of Thai restaurants all over the country and Singha Thai is easily one of the worst. I had the Panang Curry. The vegetables tasted and looked like they were generic frozen veggies. They were uncooked and very difficult to chew, so I left them. The chicken was also of questionable quality. The sauce was barely spiced but did have hints of basil and pre-mixed curry spices. I'm guessing the Thai Iced Tea was a pre-mix with instructions to add metric tons of sugar. Our server was very sweet although the food was delivered to our table by an unkempt gentleman. Will not return. read more

I had the lunch menu - Basil fried rice with chicken and green tea. (You gchoose between chicken, beef, pork or shrimp.) the heat level is 1, 2 or 3. I asked for 2 and it was mild. We were on the hunt for good Thai food and had not yet discovered this one, but we're SO glad we did. The service was good...greeted with waters almost as soon as we sat down, and consistently attentive & friendly throughout. But what really hit us was the tempura taro & sweet potatoes. Just wow...maybe the best tempura we've ever had. Delicate, crispy batter and obviously fresh ingredients served piping hot. We've eaten in Thai restaurants across the country and in several others and I can't remember having tempura that compares. I need to check the menu for tempura entrees or maybe just more substantive tempura starters...it was that good. For me to consider forgoing curry (BTW, the massaman & yellow curries were also delish) for tempura says a lot. So this has just become our go to for Thai. From the moment I walked in here I was immediately overwhelmed with the feeling of what it was like to live and eat in Bangkok. From the smiling staff to the authentic food, this is it! Everything I have tried is wonderful. I highly recommend the Pad See Ew (wide noodles) and the Bamee Moo Dang (pork noodle soup) is comfort food at its finest. Other favorites are the curries (duck, yellow, panang, kao soi) and all the fried rice. Don't skip on dessert too as the sticky rice with all preparations is top notch. The food is really good. My only issue was that we placed our pickup order online, got an email with a pickup time, 8:05-8:17pm. We got to the restaurant at 8:20pm only to be told our order wouldn't be ready for 45 additional minutes. This isn't a dealbreaker, I just wish the email had been more in line with reality. Thursday night take out from this spot did not disappoint! Large servings, rich layers of flavor, and good price points. The avocado salad was absolutely fantastic, with a great sweet light ginger dressing on the side and a really large serving. Pad sooee was hardy and filling even with just vegetables, and the roast duck curry was rich and fantastic. I was passing through for my brother's soccer game in Dayton and found this restaurant because of its good reviews. The restaurant was super popular, but it had a peaceful and fun vibe to it. Everyone inside was super kind, and our waiter was very helpful and attentive. It also just smelled amazing when we first walked in. Plus, the food was even better!! This is probably the best Thai food I've ever had, and they have so many fun options to choose from. However, when I called them, they were incredibly gracious and comped the papaya salad and made the larb Kai salad for me. I offered to pay for the papaya salad but they told me not to worry about it. I'm addition to the salads, I also got a cup of the Tom kha kai soup, and everything was so flavorful and delicious.
