    Chicken Pad Thai
    Adam G.

I love Thai food, and Penn's Thai Grille makes some of the best around. I always order a chicken pad thai when trying a place for the first time. The website touts both lunch and dinner portions, and I ordered it for take out on a Sunday for lunch, however was charged the dinner price. That said, I'm pretty sure the portion was definitely the dinner size, as it was enough for two meals. But if you want a specific size, you should probably clarify. They offer spice levels 1-5. I tried level 2 and couldn't really notice anything spicy (which I wasn't too upset about). But the pad thai was absolutely delicious -- sweet and savory. It had been a while since I've had a pad thai that good. I will definitely order from Penn's again.

Food is good but not consistent. The pad woon sen I got tonight was more like a stir fry. Missing snap peas and was full of veggies to the point there was barely any noodles. I also got the tom kha and it has 3 pieces of tofu. Very expensive for the little you get. I'm pretty upset over the noodles.

Born in Thai and eating Thai all my life, spoiled by amazing LA Thai food, this place has been the most authentic Thai place I've ever had in Ohio. The service is personal and ambiance is super pretty and authentic. Believe me when I say it's the best.

Best Thai around. Will be back. Small place. Totally adds to the atmosphere laid back and nice staff. Food is amazing.

An absolute gem of a place. The interior is nicely decorated and the staff are friendly, polite and the service was good. I got 1. Papaya Salad (4/5) which was good and a tad bit spicy. It could use some peanuts. I also got the spicy duck (5/5)- spice level 3. An absolutely amazing dish. The best duck I have had in recent times. The aroma of fried basil, the crunchy and soft duck coupled with few veggies was perfect. I would highly recommend this dish to anyone who want to try duck. I am definitely going here again.

My friend and I met up here when we were close near by and had no dinner plans. What a find. What looked like a hole in the wall from outside (seriously they have a drive thru and I couldn't even tell if they had seating) is actually very nice! We were seated quickly despite pretty solid business for a Friday evening, and a small dining room. I ordered a ginger salad and the three flavors duck (waitress recommendation after I said I wanted duck) and my friend the pad see ee. I got mine medium spice, and she none. The ginger salad was alright, with large pieces of cucumber and hearts of romaine, a very sweet ginger dressing, and... Noknife to cut it. I managed to shovel them in with my fork but before I got halfway done our entrees were at the table. Good sized servings, though not giant by any means, lots of veggies, and these beautiful flower cut carrots for decoration (or eating in my case). My friend enjoyed her dish, and my own was fine. The fried duck was heavier than I wanted and the sauce was WAY too sweet. It completely overwhelmed the fresh, crispy veggies, and the taste of the duck itself. But again, they were quick, the food was good and I'll gladly return!

Service was very friendly and all the precautions were taken during these Covid times. Only saw one other table dining in, and many others picking up carry out. There's even a drive thru window to pick up food which stayed pretty busy. Started with an appetizer platter for two...coconut shrimp, spring rolls, cream cheese ragoon, and other tasty treats. That's where I should have stopped, cause it filled us up. I'll remember that next time. Had shrimp yellow curry for my entree. It was OK. My partner in crime had bourbon chicken and said it was good. Portions were huge...she took hers home to hubby. I left mine, cause my hubby would have turned his nose up. If you're a Thai fan, by all means give this place a try.

Enjoying a Happy Birthday dinner with wifey at one of our fave spots. Appetizers were amazing, hot and very delicious. I had Paragon shrimp and she had Hawaiian fried rice w shrimp and chicken. Food was blazing hot and full of flavor.

Every time we eat here we wonder why we ever go anywhere else! The food is always amazing, consistently pleasant and efficient service. The atmosphere is calming and comfortable. Run, don't walk, just get here! You will not be disappointed!

I went to Penn's Thai Grille. I loved how the inside of restaurant looked. It was cool. Tried there pad Thai with combination of chicken, shrimp and beef. It was delicious. I only went with heat level 2 but after a few bites you definitely taste it! The portions you get are huge! I will be having left overs for sure. I definitely recommend this place.

The decor is nothing special, though the place was pretty clean. I ordered a lunch special that let me choose 2 entrees so I have more variety. For this, I got the red curry and fried rice, both with pork (because I couldn't choose 2 different proteins, apparently). The red curry did not have much spice nor flavor to it, and honestly all I really tasted was sweetness. That should not be the most prominent flavor profile when having red curry, and it totally threw me off. While the fried rice did taste decent, I was not a big fan of the big chunks of baby corn in it. I personally don't believe baby corn belongs in fried rice of any kind. The other elements of the lunch special, the spring roll and the sweet potato roll, were rather mediocre. Overall, the food was not authentic AND did not taste good, so my experience was pretty bad. The only saving grace for this place was the flavor of the fried rice. Food: 1.5/5 Price: 3.5/5 Overall: 2.25/5

Anyways she was really rude and didn't greet us, we got 0 refills and was not checked on the entire time dining in. So I am assuming that is why it could have been empty at 6pm. Worse service we have ever seen and we go out to eat often. We will try it one more time hoping for better service since the food was amazing but if the lady is working again and has a chip on her shoulder we will not go back no matter how good the food was. I hope the owner sees this and quickly trainers her. Now for the good part the food 10/10 and the prices were really good as well. Presentation was not pretty but we don't care about that. 1. Thia fried rice yes I know you see the picture and it looks so bland but it is far from being bland so many great flavors that will keep you going back for more. 2. Drunkin noodles the noodle texture was so nice thick rice noodles and the sauce was the perfect amount of sweet and salty 3. Tom yum noodle soup is my go to when I am ordering Thia. This one was pretty good, I do recommend getting a spice level since I didn't order it with any. It was a bit sweet. But still pretty good. 4. Fish cakes and the chicken dumplins they were ok but wouldn't order again. The inside was very clean and nicely decorated with plenty of seating and parking outside.

It's a lot bigger inside than I thought it appeared outside. The decor was cute. She always gets panang curry-it's her favorite. I got the pad kee mao (Drunken Noodles), my usual first dish for a Thai place. My noodles were thinner than what I usually get but I really liked it. My dish also had a great balance of vegetables and protein. I appreciated the spice level reflecting the 4/5 I requested. I was a bit concerned about this because the server reiterated the 5 scale when I ordered. My sister thought her curry was a bit spicy for her requested "1" spice level but not far enough out there to be an issue. Service was efficient and we never ran out of water-especially important with the spicy food! Portions and price were good-I ate all of mine but really shouldn't have, and with tip, spent ~$40 altogether. We didn't get drinks or an appetizer. I visit the area often enough and am looking forward to returning to try other dishes on the menu. Hopefully we will have a larger group to split an order of Dayton Rolls. It was hard to pass on these.
