Okay I don't know if they're closing or what the situation is this is the third time we've come here during times they're supposed to be open. It's closed the doors are locked there's no sign explaining why the restaurant is closed during these hours. I see other people coming and looking at the door the way we looked. They're losing a lot of business. It's to the point that I will not come here unless I call and they answer. And that's another thing when you call there there's no message except that the mailboxes can't take messages there's no explanation for their being closed during hours that they're supposed to be open. Excellent little establishment with amazingly good Asian cuisine. Lots of possibilities to chose from. Orders come out very hot and quick. They have excellent packaging skills for take home orders, which I recommend because the place itself is alittle small. Also they have a spice level chart starting at low spice to Thai spice. Don't bother with the kid's meal. It's supposed to have jasmine rice with sliced chicken, egg, peas, and carrots. I counted 3 peas zero carrots but there were a few onions. Stringy chicken. Don't waste your money. Share your meal with your kid. read more

Another update...this place is very inconsistent with the spice level and they need to get it down. When I say not spicy and it comes out so hot it's inedible...there's an issue. This rating is based on four visits from summer of 2025 through January 2026. My rating is based on 1) Taste/quality of food, 2) Ambiance, 3) Price and 4) Service. The taste and appearance of the dishes I have had is excellent. I think the spice level is towards the mild side, meaning I order a 3 of 4 and I do not notice it being "hot" or "spicy". The serving sizes are in line with other Thai places I have been to. The restaurant is very clean, the rest room is very clean, there are approximately 40 - 50 seats. there was quiet music playing in the background. The service was very good. My wait while eating in was very short and I noticed that two other tables received their food within 10 minutes or so. The prices are in line with other Thai restaurants; expect dishes to have increased in price if you have not eaten out in a few months. Overall, highly recommended. Eat here semi-regularly. Food is always good but they tend to run short staffed. That said the convenience and tasty food make up for it.

Was in the area and this was a great later evening (7:30-8pm-ish) choice. Too many area restaurants close SUPER early, even on weekends, but that's a whole separate issue!! Fast, friendly service, comfortable seating options, plenty of tempting choices (lots of great apps!!) for both veg and meat-eaters, and reasonable pricing. What's not to love? I noticed plenty of "to go/pickups" while I was in there, and though I know that now more than ever that's how people are dining, I think nothing beats the "dine in" experience. Now more than ever, I see so many places getting low ratings because their food doesn't "travel" well. Unless there's a HUGE issue (missing items, BAD food, etc.) I think it's (mostly) unfair to judge a restaurant just on your takeout/delivery service experience. We have a wonderful experience every time we order from the Silver Spoon. We always do a pick up order but do plan to dine in sometime. The environment seems very peaceful and calm. I stopped in for lunch with a friend in December for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised. We had a snowstorm the night before so it wasn't busy, but the gentlemen waiting on us was very nice and kind. He let us enjoy a leisurely lunch without much interruption, but was always quick to fill our waters. I went with the Tom Kha (Coconut) Soup with Tofu. It was so creamy and delicious. It came out piping hot so I had to wait a bit to eat, but it was still warm by the time I was able to eat it safely. I also ordered Pad Thai with Tofu. It was delicious, but a little spicy for me despite getting a 1. I know spicyness is all relative depending on person, but for a 1 I wasn't expecting that much. Luckily I was able to eat it, but boy I'm glad I didn't go higher. I also got a delicious cup of tea on a very cold day. That was in fact scolding hot. Service was great. He was really friendly and helpful as we needed. I cannot wait to head back and try more of their menu items. read more

I ordered a boba and it came out hot. My wife said it startled her as it burned "a little". I felt the warm cup and decided to stir it because I wanted a cold drink. The wonton egg noodle soup was also very bland. The wontons lacked flavor and isn't as good as other restaurants in the area. The noodles were overcooked and mushy. My wife ordered pad wan soon and she said it was overcooked and they didn't add spice. We were pretty disappointed. The service was slow. They need more people. We were waiting a while for someone to take our order, deliver food and to even get our check. This place always hits the spot. The brown sauce is super tasty in the veggie delight which always hits the spot. I don't see it busy often so seating is always available but take out is always going on. Takeout does seem to take a little longer than other Thai places because of it. The Pad See Iew and Cashew Nut chicken are always good dishes to try. read more

I ordered dinner via Door Dash from Thai Silver Spoon. I didn't have to wait long. As soonest my order was placed it was forwarded to the kitchen for preparation and I only waited about 35 minutes from order to delivery. I live about 15 driving minutes away from the restaurant. I was super happy when my food arrived. The curry and rice was still hot and super tasty. The portion was very! generous. I only wish that I would have had chop sticks or a fork and a napkin the bag. Unfortunately my food came without any utensils or napkins. It was ok since I was at home, but what if I would have been someplace else without any access to silverware? read more

Look, I don't hail from Thailand, nor was I born with a silver spoon in my mouth. Despite those two demerits, I decided to navigate myself through the doorway into an exotic wonderland of textures and flavors. I kicked things off with a little Tom Yum Soup, and believe me, it was yumma yumma yum! I ventured further on this path of Thaidom with an order of Spicy Noodles, which at first I thought would send me to the latrine all night, but it turned out to be quite tasty and left me with no "digestion issues" whatsoever. My wife went with the Drunken Woman for some reason, and that dish did not contain any alcohol, which was a relief because she is our the designated driver. Thai Silver Spoon falls in the middle, it may satisfy your craving for Thai style food if you find yourself in this immediate area but I would not say it will blow your mind. Our experience is based on ordering takeout from this restaurant, the food we tried was: - Hot Chicken Wings- average, they were crispy a bit on the greasy side but on par with wings that you would get at most fast service type restaurants. - The Bourbon Chicken- This is not something that I would typically order at a Thai restaurant but I decided to give this a shot. The chicken was dry not tender and juicy even though it looks like dark meat . The sauce was thin and watery not much flavor. Not something I would order again! - Green Curry is colorful, the mild option is pretty spicy and the eggplant is on the bitter side. Was pretty flavorful and the best thing ordered from this order. The takeout experience was great with Thai Silver Spoon, online ordering worked well and food was ready quickly for pickup at the restaurant. We enjoy fine and casual dining with our greatest expectations being cleanliness, quality and value. Value being a balance of flavor and fair portions. Being new to the Springboro community we discovered the Thai Silver Spoon. We didn't eat in but instead got carry out. At a glance, I wouldn't consider eating on premises anything special, not necessarily bad, just not adding any value. It's small and not great looking. We eat Thai on a regular basis but with only recently discovered Thai Silver Spoon were curious and it was conveniently close. Our favorite is Penns Thai and we typically carry out there as well and it's a tad bit further in Bellbrook. In any case, comparatively, Thai Silver Spoon is average on flavor, the portions are small and the prices are higher. In other words not a very good value. Among our dishes we ordered their drunken and bourbon chicken dishes which everywhere else we request and pay more for white meat versus dark. Here, they don't permit that so the meat was fatty and a little grisley. We had other dished as well including Thai fried rice with chicken (white meat), Cream cheese crispy etc. however by the end of our meal all four of us were unimpressed by our meal and agreed, never again. My Wife and I eat here about once a month. The Service is always top notch and we've come to expect that each time we arrive. We usually get "E-Q"?‍ as our Server and he is always masked and very courteous. Our Drinks, Appetizers and Entrees always come out reasonably fast, considering they usually have a myriad of Carryout orders coming out of the kitchen. My Wife loves the PineappleFried Rice and it goes perfectly with her Diet. I tend to be more adventurous and order different items off of the menu each time. The "Heat Levels" range from 1-4. Even when I go for a "4", it's never been unpleasantly hot. After Thai Nine and Mae Ploy's in the Dayton and surrounding areas, Thai Silver Spoon is our "Go To" spot. read more

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Springboro. If I hadn't have searched on Yelp for a restaurant, I would have never known about this great restaurant. (Contact me if you need some marketing help ). It's a small, clean, quiet restaurant. The staff is friendly and quick. The Pad Thai was absolutely delicious. I got it with Chicken, and the optional peanuts and lime at a level 3 spicy. I order the house Chardonnay because there are no names listed, he asked which one? We asked for a sushi menu because the yelp review said full sushi bar. We were told "only on Tuesday do they have sushi" at this point we were ready to leave. But we gave them a chance on the food. My husband ordered the sampler platter that was suppose to include onion rings. Ummmm no onion rings there was a mystery item my husband tried. He quickly spit out and called the waiter over to find out what it was he just consumed. He was told a "fish cake" sir the menu does not mention "fish cake" we were told " oh we change out menu item" ummmm you don't change on menu!??? "No sorry we out of onion ring". With all the major allergy issues I suggest I NEVER do this again!! Unless you want a major lawsuit. I ordered a "vegan gluten free soy free pad Thai" the chef came out to take my order, after I expressed my concern about my allergies. She assured me no issues. The pad Thai came out with egg. She quickly came out to apologize said she didn't here vegan. While sitting there eating a family that came in a few minutes after us had an enormous platter of SUSHI brought to their table. Flames came out of my ears!!! I call the waiter over and ask why they were able to order sushi and was told "oh the sushi chef came in" , ummmm you can't tell the table that asked for sushi ???? When I expressed my disappointment to the chef who was then checking people out she said sorry I just came in. No sweetheart, you came out and took my order 5 mins after we asked the server about sushi !!!!! I think your greeter/waiter may need a lot of training !! I'm really torn. I debated on whether to give this restaurant three or four stars, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. The food is delicious, that isn't the issue. It's so flavorful and authentic. I'm also very picky about broths and theirs is delicious. Still, there were a few things about my experience that sparked concern. First of all, we waited for our food for such a long time! I'm talking at least 30 minutes. It was to the point where we were about to complain. Second, they did not bring our food out at the same time. There were three of us dining and there was a good 15 minute gap between each dish being served. Third, the service in general wasn't great. Our waitress never really checked in on us and it's not like the place was busy, so she could have tried harder. Finally, AND THIS IS IMPORTANT: Go easy with the spice! They follow a spice scale of 1-4, and as someone who loves spicy foods, I elected for a three. My noodle soup was at the absolute peak of my spice threshold. A four would be inedible. Very nice Thai restaurant. My husband had a seafood soup with a coconut milk base. He really liked it. I loved the pineapple fried rice with shrimp added. Their brown sauce must have made it so wonderfully tasty. I still think about it and want to get it again! The only thing is to be careful of the spice level. The spiciness range is 0-4. Being a little adventurous, we both ordered a 1, which should be pretty mild, right? It may be because we didn't have milk or beer to sooth our spice receptors--we just had water and green tea--but the food was spicier than a medium salsa! So be forewarned that it could be spicier than you expect. It was still a very good meal. I really enjoyed the upbeat jazz they played on the speakers. We have eaten here 10 times. Every time it gets worse. We DoorDashed delivery last week and it took over 2 hrs. They said the restaurant had terrible service and they sat there waiting for the food the whole time. Today we ordered for pickup. The food is pretty good but the service is again terrible. We ordered our food and there was literally not a single person in the restaurant. Over an hr later they still hadn't made the meal. We asked for a refund and to cancel the order which took another 15 minutes. I am not sure what has been going there but if it continues I doubt they will stay in business. read more
