Was in the area and this was a great later evening (7:30-8pm-ish) choice. Too many area restaurants close SUPER early, even on weekends, but that's a whole separate issue!! Fast, friendly service, comfortable seating options, plenty of tempting choices (lots of great apps!!) for both veg and meat-eaters, and reasonable pricing. What's not to love? I noticed plenty of "to go/pickups" while I was in there, and though I know that now more than ever that's how people are dining, I think nothing beats the "dine in" experience. Now more than ever, I see so many places getting low ratings because their food doesn't "travel" well. Unless there's a HUGE issue (missing items, BAD food, etc.) I think it's (mostly) unfair to judge a restaurant just on your takeout/delivery service experience. That being said, I'm getting ready to post some AWESOME next-day leftover lunch pics in just a bit!! Enjoy!!

I ordered a boba and it came out hot. My wife said it startled her as it burned "a little". I felt the warm cup and decided to stir it because I wanted a cold drink. The wonton egg noodle soup was also very bland. The wontons lacked flavor and isn't as good as other restaurants in the area. The noodles were overcooked and mushy. My wife ordered pad wan soon and she said it was overcooked and they didn't add spice. We were pretty disappointed. The service was slow. They need more people. We were waiting a while for someone to take our order, deliver food and to even get our check. While there were other customers complaining they were waiting longer than estimated... while we were waiting to leave...

Recently moved to the area and have been searching for local eateries. I pass this gem everyday on my daily route and we decided to stop in for a family dinner. The story behind the restaurant is great! Authentic Thai in Ohio, can it be any better? The service is great, very knowledgeable about the suggestions and didn't fail us! The kids menu is diverse and the serving size is enough for leftovers! We may have found out go to Thai spot!

When it comes to Thai restaurants in suburban strip malls you never really know what you are going to get. Thai Silver Spoon falls in the middle, it may satisfy your craving for Thai style food if you find yourself in this immediate area but I would not say it will blow your mind. Our experience is based on ordering takeout from this restaurant, the food we tried was: - Hot Chicken Wings- average, they were crispy a bit on the greasy side but on par with wings that you would get at most fast service type restaurants. - The Bourbon Chicken- This is not something that I would typically order at a Thai restaurant but I decided to give this a shot. The chicken was dry not tender and juicy even though it looks like dark meat . The sauce was thin and watery not much flavor. Not something I would order again! - Green Curry is colorful, the mild option is pretty spicy and the eggplant is on the bitter side. Was pretty flavorful and the best thing ordered from this order. The takeout experience was great with Thai Silver Spoon, online ordering worked well and food was ready quickly for pickup at the restaurant. The food though was OK and could be better which is the main reason we will likely not be lured back anytime in the near future.

The decor is nothing special, though the place was pretty clean. I ordered a lunch special that let me choose 2 entrees so I have more variety. For this, I got the red curry and fried rice, both with pork (because I couldn't choose 2 different proteins, apparently). The red curry did not have much spice nor flavor to it, and honestly all I really tasted was sweetness. That should not be the most prominent flavor profile when having red curry, and it totally threw me off. While the fried rice did taste decent, I was not a big fan of the big chunks of baby corn in it. I personally don't believe baby corn belongs in fried rice of any kind. The other elements of the lunch special, the spring roll and the sweet potato roll, were rather mediocre. Overall, the food was not authentic AND did not taste good, so my experience was pretty bad. The only saving grace for this place was the flavor of the fried rice. Food: 1.5/5 Price: 3.5/5 Overall: 2.25/5

Tasty Takeout and Worth a Return Visit…read more My wife and I tried New Young Chow in Springboro and really enjoyed our meal. She had the sweet and sour chicken, and I had the beef chow mein -- both were delicious and full of flavor. We also ordered the crab rangoon, which wasn't quite up to par compared to the rest of the meal, but not a dealbreaker. Overall, great food and solid service. We'll definitely be going back!

The inside was a bit cluttered and small but looked very clean with approximately 7 booths and 2 tables to seat 6. I did call in my order and the lady that took my order was wast to deal with and even honored with free crab racoon coupon from online with a bill over $40.00. So be sure to checkout the website to score coupons. When I called in I was on a brief hold which was expected for a Friday night. Was told thr food would be ready in 20 minutes and it was ready and bagge up for me. When I did pick up no one greeted me I believe because only 2 was working which I was fine with. Now for the good part. I am pretty disappointed in my self for driving past this place for the last 15 years. I have missed out. For $62.00 we got 1. 4 Teriyaki chicken skewers $7.55 they were pretty small and chewy but the taste was great 2. 6 Crab rangoon free with our order. Full of cream cheese and garlic dipped in sweet n sour. Probably the best take out Rangoon we have had 3. Mongolian Chicken $10.95 with white rice the container was overflowing with green onion, onions, chicken, and a sweet oniony sauce thar hit all the right taste buds. They did mix in the bamboo shots or whatever they are called which I am. Ot a fan of so will ask next time for none, but they were easy to pick out. 4. Sweet n sour chicken $10.95 another big portion and meaty with a golden breading 5. Combination lo mein $10.95 chicken, shrimp, and pork. Again big enough to feed 2 or 3 and really good 6. Pork in garlic sauce $ 9.55 one of my favorite dishes I love how crunchy the broccoli is and tender the prok was.
