Food was fantastic on an unplanned visit....it's been a while. It's always a challenge to get the right amount of heat in Thai food - last night was perfect. Both the chili and thai basil and, the yellow curry were on the mark. It ranked up there with being in Bangkok. Whether you're a local or passing through on the way to somewhere - this is definitely worth the stop food-wise. Still a bit of transition with COVID restrictions but for great food...who cares. I've been here a few times. Each time the food declines by at least one star. This most recent dining experience not only had terrible food, but dirty glasses and sticky table. The food was served in plastic to go containers. The pad Thai was soggy and had no flavor. The fresh rolls were dry and the lettuce was wilted. The pumpkin curry was salty and watery. I'm not sure what's going on here that the food is getting consistently worse. Not to mention once the food was delivered we never saw the waitress again. I have it two stars because the food was edible, but I won't go back. read more

Good mango and sticky rice, but the pad see ew did not taste anything like pad see ew dishes that I have had at other Thai restaurants. The noodles were long and thin versus the thick noodles that are usually in the dish, and the sauce tasted very different also. The decor is nice and cozy inside the restaurant. I don't usually eat out in the area but wound up here after another place we tried was closed. I make and eat A LOT of Thai food and was really surprised with this place. I've only tried a couple of their dishes so I can't speak for everything but the dishes I tried were very good. The Bay Area has a lot of Thai places and I think this one could compete with any one of them. We have been coming here for years on Sunday. Today was no different. Same 6 people in our family. Today we were met with a rude hostile young waitress. Also our food and appetizers came out at the same time. We order 2 pots of tea. Our bill came and we were charged a 1.75 each for 6 people for tea. As well as a gratuity charge after tax. Food was smaller portion size as previous. Will not be coming back anytime soon read more

Wow, I can't believe we found this gem on the way back from Tahoe! We had the potstickers, pad kee mow (drunken noodles), red curry, and Thai iced tea. Good Thai food in Amador county. I and my wife had a dinner after a day of skiiing in Kirkwood. We ordered Fried Tofu, Tom Yam with chicken, and Shrimp Pad Thai with two Thai Ice Teas. Portions are very big, we finished everything, but only because we skipped lunch that day. The bill was for $34. I expected somewhat americanized Thai food and was pleasantly surprized. The food was as good as at the best Bay Area Thai restaurants. Beware: spicy does mean spicy here! Fried Tofu was excellent, Shrimp Pad Thai was very good with a lot of big shrimps. Tom Yam was a bit less exciting, but still good. Service was good, we have been seated immediately, water was refilled regularly, etc. read more

This is a super restaurant! The Thai tastes like good Thai should (I'm Australian and we have a huge Thai population that makes exceptional food - I miss it!). The curries here are delicious, the spring rolls are too and if you like soup! Gets some soup! We had the wor wonton and it was full of chicken, shrimp, dumplings and vegetables in this super tasty broth. Wow. So good! The staff were lovely and quick and easy. I've been a few times and have to say that the food is delicious, the service was HORRIBLE. . This place is the most kid-UNfriendly in the county!! Recently took a friend with our kids. They are always slow to seat, we waited 10 minutes for them to realize we didnt get a menu--had to ask for silverware. Ordered two entrees and one appetizer, which was not as good as usual, eggs were burnt in the pineapple rice! The kids next to us were happily coloring, and we asked for crayons, told she would go look. never came back to even check on us or refill water. Just brought our check in a huff and left. We noticed we were being charged a "gratuity" of well over 20% of our bill!! When asked, she stated we had a party of 6 (2 babies, 2 5yr olds, 2 adults) Mid-sentence she walked away and did not return. I will NOT return to Thai Siam, tasty or not. It's a nice place and the Pad Thai was very delicious. However the casual almost up sell of white rice was a little annoying. The way it was framed was a bit deceitful and it reminded me of other times this place tried to slip things into the bill. Good food but I probably won't be back. I am so happy to find such a great Thai restaurant in Jackson! Everything about this place is wonderful - the food, staff and location. From a vegetarian prospective this place rocks! All ingredients are FRESH, flavorful and if you want thai spicy they give an authentic thai spicy. I've been here 5 times now (alone and with friends) and no matter what I order the food is fantastic. The Plantains with Coconut ice cream is the best finish to any meal (I tend to share this as it is so rich). Only con: the last time I was there they were not able to serve alcohol. No biggie as while I like a glass of something with dinner, the food is so delicious who cares if I have to drink tea :) read more

Great little find on our way out to the cabin in Angels Camp! You wouldn't expect to find good Thai food in a strip mall on the outskirts of California's civilization, but this place is really good! We ordered the prawns with plum sauce, the spring rolls, the pad thai, and some sort of coconut milk & fish soup. The prawns and the pad thai were delicious (my PIC had the other two dishes... I was too busy inhaling my own to try them). Good service & good food. We'll be back next time we head out to the cabin. read more

If you are in need of something tasty, spicy, and unique then this is the spot. I love their food. The only downer is that it is not always consistant with the way the meals are prepared, such as the spices. This is not a huge deal since the food is great. I have tried many items on their menu and have not been disappointed except for the duck noodle soup. It was very bare. Not much duck, not much noodle, but if you love broth then it was great. LOL! It was still great tasting though. I have to recommend their Thai iced tea, it is soooo good and goes so well with all their food. Here are a list of very tasty things to try: Chicken Satay, green bean dish w/medium spicy level and chicken, pineapple rice, and their angel wings. Their potsticker's are also tasty. This place surprised me, I didn't know what to expect. The last Thai place I went to was ok, this one was much better. I judge a lot of placed based on their spring rolls and this place had some MIGHTY spring rolls. They were so big I didn't want to waste them so I ate them all which could have equally been shared with others, then I got myslef some of the Pad Thai with red curry. I have always like it spicy, this was not really spicy but it had a good tang that we along great with the rest of the dish. It tasted amazing, very fresh and very rich in that peanut sauce. The price was decent, the person who served me was a little slow on getting me my check but she was the only one sitting people and getting go-to orders ready. Tonight we visited Thai Siam for our 18th Anniversary. I had been there before Covid but not since and my husband had never been there. We were greeted immediately and seated in a very comfy booth. The restaurant looks beautiful with high quality wood paneling all around. The tables are set beautifully with cloth napkins and very nice glassware. We had such a wonderful dinner. We started with the fresh rolls and chicken larb. Both were fresh and delicious with just the perfect amount of heat in the larb. The plum sauce was a great addition to the fresh rolls with a slight heat- it also was served with peanut sauce which was very tasty. My husband ordered chicken Pad Thai and loved every bite. I had a delicious fish dish with fresh mushrooms, green onion and red bell pepper. Everything was so fresh and cooked perfectly. We each had a refreshing Thai Tea and for dessert we shared a dish of the best coconut ice cream we've ever had and an order of mango with sweet sticky rice- so good.Our waitress was wonderful. She checked on us at just the right times and was so sweet and helpful. We will definitely be back. If you are looking for a nice meal that is fresh and delicious this is the place to go. I guess you can't really expect much in Amador County. I was in Sutter Creek for work, so my co-workers and I found this place for lunch. We ordered our lunches to-go. I ordered a spicy string bean/tofu dish with brown rice. My container of brown rice with topped off with a 2-inch hard block of old brown rice. I'm guessing it was leftover from the day before, so they decided to fill my container with this. I picked it up and dropped it with a loud thump onto my food container, so I could access the edible rice below it. My dish itself was decent. My co-worker ordered what was supposed to be beef & broccoli...but it was more flavorless beef with a brown watery soup. Hmmm. My other co-workers weren't impressed with their lunches either. I don't think any of us finished our meals. I doubt I'll ever be back in the Sutter Creek/Jackson area again, but I wouldn't spend my money here for lunch again.
