Pacific Grill is located inside Jackson Racheria casino, straight in the back after going through the main entrance. I found myself there for lunch one afternoon after about blowing all my cash at the slots. I had nothing to left in my pockets, except for some lint, an old paper clip, and my well used American Express card. Defeated, I called it quits and put a fried chicken sandwich and some tots on the plastic. After a chat with a friendly cashier, my food arrived in a few short minutes. Boy was I impressed! I didn't hit any jackpots at the slots, but I did with their tots! They gave me a mountain of those crispy, golden-brown, little nuggets. Each one was perfectly cooked and they came with plenty of ranch for dipping. The chicken sandwich was just as crispy, juicy in the middle, and full of fresh produce. Always going to the Pacific Grill they're close by we use this places are fast food one stop shop. They have hamburgers. They have Chinese food. They have multiple other things they even have pizza which is actually pretty good and it's a good price.. stuff is really great. Everybody is kind and friendly. They'll help you with anything that you need. I do enjoy coming here. It's a casino with loud and there's usually a lot of people talking, but doesn't bother me at all. read more

Really sad that the Rancheria buffet is no more. I wasn't sure what to expect. My kids and I decided to try this place one late night while staying in the area for a wedding. There were plenty of seats since it wasn't too busy. We ordered fried cod fish & chips, an original chicken sandwich, and a truffle cheeseburger. It was bit of a wait. When we got our food, I guess we should've expected it to not look like the pictures on the menu. Just looking at the picture I took of the fish & chips, you can barely find the two pieces of fish. I am a loyal and frequent customer of the Pacific Grill. Lately, I have noticed a change in how pizzas are made. Recently, I have noticed the Supreme Pizza having salami, pepperoni, ham, sausage, olives mushrooms layered often in layers atop each other. These layers interfering with the crisping of the toppings and leaves an uncooked and soggy crust below. Another recent order was the Hawaiian Pizza. After getting one lacking in toppings, the next one had lots of ham slices, and more chunky pieces of pineapple. Again, the ratio of pineapple to ham was off. You could get too much pineapple in some bites, and just ham in others. Hardly ever a good balance. That additional larger pineapple and more ham, lead to a very soggy and barely cooked crust around the center. The edges were somewhat crisp, but the slice limped down greatly due to too much moisture from the fruit and crowded ham slices. This shows that over applying layers of toppings lead to less enjoyment of ingredients, and trapping too much moisture leads to an undercooked and soggy crust. I just hope management sees that going back to traditional applications they once had, would improve overall enjoyment again of these once great balanced and crisp crusts. And money spent on those ingredients would go further!! Thanks. read more

We ate here Sunday, had the shrimp street tacos, they were EXCELLENT! However when we came back Monday for the same thing, obviously a different chef as these were awful, tortillas fell totally apart, chips were half cooked (flimsy) Fish and chips were barely palatable ( 2 were cooked, 1 was raw) Dissatisfying for sure! This Review covers only the Asian cuisine called Asian Grill - Noodle Soups (Pho idea), Combo Plates consisting of Fried Rice and/or Chow Mein, Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwiches), etc. I tried the Noodle Soup w/ 3 items - rare beef, tripe & lobster claws. Also tried their Combo Plate w/ chow mein, fried rice, and Mongolian beef. The noodle soup was kind of bland, but combo plate was pretty good! Pricing is okay - not high nor low. Seating is limited. Pacific grill is the name of the food court. This food court consists of two fast food restaurants. One is asian cuisine and the second is American fast food. Asian cuisine: noodle soup (pho), combo plates that services fried rice and chow mien, wonton soup, banh mi sandwiches. American fast food: hot dog, burger, fries, wings, sandwiches, pizzas. They charge for a cup of water. Ask for the mini bottle of water that they hand out at the casino because those are free. Pretty odd. Seating is limited. read more

***3.5 Stars*** Pretty good eats for Casino food! There aren't many options in the Jackson Rancheria Casino as far as restaurants go. You've got the Lone Wolf Steakhouse which closes pretty early, the buffet which has a wait time of what seems like a trillion years, a small bakery with limited food options... and then there's this place. I decided to come here with some friends while we were at the casino. It was the only place open besides the buffet, and I wasn't about to wait in that long as line. There are two separate line at this grill; and Asian food line and an American food line. The American food portion of the grill features food items like burgers, pizza, salads and sandwiches. I wasn't in the mood for Asian cuisine, burgers, or sammies, so I just went with a standard personal sized cheese pizza. The pizza was a nice size but it was a little on the greasy side. I think it was $10 but I had a $5 credit voucher so I only paid $5 for it. It wasn't bad, but nothing extraordinary. Just your average greasy pizza but it was filling and did the job. Two of my friends had the pad thai (one with shrimp and chicken and one with just chicken). I didn't try any of it, but it smelled amazing and they both raved about how good it was. It kinda had me wishing that I had gotten that instead of the pizza, but the pizza wasn't bad. The interior was pretty clean and the delivery time was fast. You go up to the register and order and they'll give you a number and deliver the food to your table when it's ready. All in all, it's a good option for quick food if you don't feel like waiting for the buffet or paying the big bucks at the Lone Wolf Steakhouse. read more

This is the only place open now to get a late lunch (after 3pm) in this casino. It has a stark appearance in seating area. Cafeteria style, which is not inviting. However, we were hungry. I ordered the Vietnamese Chicken rice bowl and my hubby got the Double Cheeseburger. I was told by the cashier taking our order that it would be chicken thighs (yes, meaning more than one) in a asian sauce over rice. I was hopeful. We waited for at least 20 min. before they called our number. I was expecting decent chunks of chicken thigh meat served in a flavorful sauce over rice. I did ask for a pot sticker to be added to the egg roll which comes with the meal. They handed me a plastic bag with my food in styrofoam boxes. I was dining in so that was a turnoff to me. When I sat down and opened the box, what I saw was a joke of being called a rice bowl! It was all rice with shredded slivers of hardly any chicken on top including some burnt endsmixed in! The pot sticker looked sad (small) and they forgot I ordered an egg roll (paid $2.00)! Plus, there was no appearance of sauce on the chicken. Pretty dry. I had to add soy sauce to help with the taste. Also, I can't even describe the taste of the sauce. It was unlike any other. I really wanted to return my whole meal for the dry, flavorless patties (yes, I took a bite) that my husband got with cold fries. This place really need to work on their rice bowls and not be so stingy with chicken! How hard is it to cut up chicken thighs into a rice bowl? I feel like I got the dregs! Cafeteria or food court would be a better name for this eating area of the casino. I wouldn't really call it a restaurant because there's two restaurants within one area and even then it's just two counters that you order at. They do deliver the food to your table and clean up after you, though. It's nice in a place like this to see staff dedicated to sanitizing the table after each use. My wife and I eat vegetarian and are actually a big fan of veggie pho. When we saw the "veg head" noodle bowl, we decided to give it a try. The broth had no noticeable seasoning. The tofu, although fresh-fried, was still squishy and nearly liquid inside. Not a good texture. At any other pho restaurant, we know that we will have to add Sriracha sauce and a little soy sauce to get the flavor where we like. Here, those sauces come in single serve packets. We grabbed what we thought was an appropriate amount but never the less had to go back for double that much more in order to get things to have some taste. We got our late dinner for $10 (both bowls) thanks to coupons for staying at the RV park, so that lessened the disappointment. Looking around the eating area, portions from both counters were looking large so it has that going for it. I didn't see anywhere to buy alcohol while eating...not even beer. Bummer. We were staying near here and decided to go to the Pacific Grill for their lobster. What an incredible disappointment. I would give them a -200 if I could. We are East coasters and have a lot of experience eating lobster. But in this case we got two lobsters and NO TOOLS to crack the shells. We had sort of assumed that they would pre crack the claws and the tail.....but NO. What a joke there was no way to get the claw meat out with only a plastic fork and knife. I was visiting Sutter Creek on a holiday weekend and this was the only place that was open. Ordered a large all meat pizza without much expectation. Honestly I would have eaten anything that day since we were hungry after a long drive. Turns out the pizza was great and pretty large. Service can be slow or fast depending on how crowded it gets. Mary at the front counter needs to go back and learn customer service 1-on1. I ordered hot wings with garlic fries. Right when I received my food, I realized I need ranch. Thinking Mary would remember me for taking my order, I went to the counter to ask for two sides of ranch. She grabbed one and dropped it on the counter without saying anything. I then said, may I have one more? She said No and proceeds do something else. I then asked her if I can pay for an extra ranch. She makes a stink face, rolls her eyes, grabs one and drops it on the counter. Where is the customer service here? She may have had a long day and deal with hundreds of people but that was just unnecessary. Yes, this is all about a simple ranch and I may be hangry at the time; but anyone who has daily interaction with customers should be cognizant of their surroundings and how treat people. I got the chicken Pad Thai from the Asian cuisine. It was a long line, poorly organized. There was one person working in the front, and so she stepped away from the register for about 5 minutes at a time, many times to help push out the orders. There would be a huge line, and she would take her time. She'll look up, rolls her eyes, scoffs, and just slowly continue to work. I understand, work at your pace, don't stress out. But I was in line for almost half an hour, which was funny because when I stepped in line, there were only about four other people in front of me. Then came the waiting for the food ... That took almost as long. We also had an order California Grill, that line went by super quick. But then again, the wait for the food took a bit of some time too. At the time, it wasn't super busy, the line did start to pile up, due to all the waiting. Came here on March 27th, 2021. Upon entering the casino, you have to wait in line to get your temperature screened and hands sanitize. The line to order at Pacific Grill was quite long with social distancing restrictions, but it was understandable and I was patient. Due to limited choices of places to eat inside of Jackson Rancheria and the Pacific Wharf Buffet being closed I can see why Pacific Grill was a hit. They offered a ray of different options from seafood such as lobster and king crab legs to burgers and Philly cheese steaks. My family and I came around 4pm, which was surprisingly busy. The staffs were super friendly. Our food came out longer than expected. Other orders after ours came out before our order was ready. I was fine with that knowing that they were trying to get food orders out on a timely manner. There was a staff on site who cleans the tables and chairs frequently after every guests leaves their seats and table. Drinks were free and self served. I was a bit disappointed with my teriyaki salmon rice bowl. The salmon was a bit too over cooked and the amount of salmon given bit small for the price paid. I also wish they would include the claws on the lobsters. Overall the food wasn't that bad. If your looking for a quick fix service food, Pacific Grill is the way to go. I would give they another chance. Hopefully the buffet opens back up this year. read more

I got the lobster claw plate after a sad attempt to eat at the buffet. The tickets were already given out and the line to wait for the buffet was until closing and it was only 5pm. I guess I needed to come earlier, but didn't know since its my first time at Jackson. The Asian Grill wasn't too bad, it was OK. The lobster was a little overcook and dry, but for about $10 for a rice plate wasn't a bad price. We also order a beef rice plate, the beef was like pan fried or deep fried and toss in a sweet sauce. I liked it. We ordered the noodles and Pad Thai. The noodle broth was good. The noodles itself can be of better quality or maybe it's because they had it already soften just sitting at the back for the next customer before putting the broth over. They were just stuck together in a chunk and you would have to really separate the noodles before eating. They use the same noodles for the Pad Thai and it was not well stirred. They were still stuck in chunks. The flavor, though, was good. This place isn't stingy on the amount of food they give you. Instead of two crab claws, they gave me 3 in my noodles. The hamburger was dry, overcooked and had no flavor. The fries that came with the hamburger were cold. The pad Thai was soggy and lacked any flavor. Burger buns not even toasted/grilled, the burger patties were microwaved (rubbery texture) and not grilled. The patties were tasteless and not seasoned at all. Worse yet, the fries were semi warm. The only thing that was a delight on that burger were the fresh onions, tomatoes, pickles. It's a fast food. It seems like the crew here are nice, except when the cashier handed me my cup for my drink, all of his 3 fingers were inside my cup. This is the other half of the Pacific Grill food court at the casino, part of the new renovation in Jackson. I REALLY wanted to try the whole steamed fish which you can also get fried, but it's a 2 pound striped bass and nobody wanted to help me eat it, but the picture of it flashed on a screen above the counter looks GREAT. I tried the Vietnamese Grilled Chicken, after making sure that it was thigh meat, and it was quite good, with steamed rice and a pork bao and pot sticker. It was all pretty good actually, but the pork buns and pot stickers are too small to charge $2. each for them as an add on. They were fairly tasty but a little dry. Otherwise the prices are pretty standard for food court service. I will go back and try the Filipino sausage and of course, the steamed fish. read more

Definitely not what I expected when we paid 8.95 for a dim sum platter. The picture looked like there would be enough for 2, but was sadly mistaken. The food itself was not bad, not good either. Better off spending a few bucks more and getting potstickers, egg rolls, and sesame balls individually. They got rid of Pho-Bac and Uncle Buds and now have their own brand quick food eateries. The did not bring the Vietnamese sandwiches or the asian tacos (which were excellent!) over from the Pho Bac menu, so that left us at the CA grill and getting a "bud" burger. So, not really having an option, we decided to eat in the little "food court" area this place was located. Even though the "food court" only really had this place and another next to it. I ordered the Vietnamese Tacos, one chicken and one pork. The cashier said the Chicken was the best of the two, but when I tried them both, I had to disagree. The pork was actually more flavorful in my opinion. Regardless, the tacos were messy and the tortilla ended up ripping after a few bites.
