Nice lady and was there when you needed her to be. I got the Pasta Milano and loved it. Alot of sauce which I enjoy. It has pepper flakes and tends to be a little hot. You can have them adjust the amount of heat. My wife had the Mushroom and Spinach Raviolis. She really liked them. I tried one and it was darn good. In all my years of waitressing and working in an Italian restaurant, I would never have thought it was acceptable to serve food in that condition. A proper sear adds flavor, but actual char is bitter and completely overpowers the Marsala wine and mushrooms. Large areas of burnt crust aren't just a cosmetic issue--they ruin the dish and should be replaced, not served to a customer. What made it even more disappointing was that I was expecting a fine dining experience. Instead, I've honestly received better food quality and service at much more casual restaurants. Everyone else at my table enjoyed their meals, so unfortunately I seem to have been the exception, but that doesn't make it acceptable. I left feeling frustrated and confused as to how this plate ever made it out of the kitchen. Thank you for your response. I understand restaurants appreciate the opportunity to correct issues while customers are still there. My concern wasn't that the chicken had "grill marks" or that I didn't understand what Chicken Marsala is. The sauce and mushrooms covered the chicken, so I didn't realize how badly it was burnt until I had already taken several bites. Once I moved the sauce aside, I found it was charred to the point that it tasted burnt and was inedible, which is why I left the meal exactly as shown in my photo. I left because I was disappointed, not because I wanted to leave a negative review. Calling me a "keyboard warrior" instead of addressing the condition of the food or why it even came out of the kitchen in that condition in the first place only reinforces why I felt compelled to share my experience at your establishment. read more

Beautiful new location! I went back for the prosciutto flatbread, still as good as ever. My now husband got the Caprese burger and said it was amazing. Even the side salad was really good. The restaurant decor is very nice, the staff is very friendly, we were waited on very quickly, the menu has lot of choices, the prices are very reasonable & the food was absolutely delicious. Just had a great meal here . From the second in the door the service was top notch and pleasant . Enjoyed the look of the interior and the ambiance from the nice music and pleasant staff made the experience just right. I started with and minestrone soup followed by chicken Marsala and we also had a salad and spinach ravioli. Enjoyed our meal w/ a Chardonnay and an iced tea. I just had lunch there 2 weeks ago at their new location on Main Street in Jackson. A much larger location with a lot of character and sharply decorated for Christmas. I enjoyed the mushroom Spinach ravioli with Minestrone soup for lunch. All was wonderfully tasty, ravioli with cream sauce was excellent and the soup extremely delicious! They also have a large beer and wine bar where I enjoyed a few IPA's from a local brewery. I had a great time there! Bob and Shirley are awesome, Enjoy the new location!! read more

We were looking forward to dining at Saluti's new location in downtown Jackson...what a complete disappointment. Prior to their moving, Saluti's was a solid 5-star review every time we visited. Now, in their new location, we will not be returning. The new location itself is fine, clean and welcoming, but that, unfortunately, is where the "good" ends. To begin with, the service was terrible and we were treated like an afterthought. Then they were out of a few appetizers...and this was at 5pm, at the beginning of dinner service. The appetizers we did get was very lacking....meatballs; they were very small (not much bigger than packaged meatballs one buys at the grocery store), and only 3 of them. The dinner salad was also very small, served on a plate not much larger than a tea cup saucer. They got my wife's order wrong, and despite me asking for light spice with my entrée, it was so incredibly spicy hot I could not taste anything in the dish...the pasta, the Italian sausage, the Alfredo sauce, all completely lost over the red pepper flakes. The bread was hard, stale and tasteless. Sadly, what was once our absolute favorite Italian restaurant in Amador County has, with this single (and extremely expensive) meal, ensured we will never return. read more

My husband and I did a day trip, spending the morning in Sutter Creek (very enjoyable) , and then headed over to Jackson for lunch, not knowing where we would land. We could smell the deliciousness as we approached Saluti's and decided to give it a try. We were delighted by our lunch. The minestrone? Perfection! Complex delicious flavors with a bit of warmth, not heat, from the spices. Omg yes! And the lasagne? It's so good that you want to lick the plate! Great family owned / operated Italian restaurant! The new location is a perfect fit. The owners have done a great job of decorating to make the restaurant warm and inviting. It's a very comfortable spot to enjoy some wine (or beer) with friends over really good food. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. (huge fan and I am definitely going to have them again) my wife had the basil chicken with a very flavorful cream sauce. Came into town expecting to eat at the Old Brickhouse, did not realize it's a completely different restaurant. The food was very variable. Salad was actually pretty good. My fettuccine Alfredo was okay- pretty overloaded on the garlic imo. I prefer Olive Garden's Fettuccine Alfredo better honestly. All of the hamburgers looked cooked decent on the outside but were raw when cut open and ate. My mom's Salute burger upset her stomach right after eating. Probably from the pile of grease that spilled out of it. She had to constantly keep using the bathroom a few hours after eating it. Service was 4/10. Our waitress had no positive or friendly emotion in her voice. She did not sound happy to be there. I understand not having items on the menu available but at least be aware of that beginning your shift before you have to tell us 10 minutes after ordering. I found it strange she asked my little cousins if they wanted soup or salad with their meals after my mother and I received ours. Good thing was that the water service was nice. My family was on way to Kirkwood to go ski. We decided to spend the night in Jackson which is 1 hr from Kirkwood. Its a small town where we found this family-operated italian place. Its on opposite direction of the downtown. A small place with limited seating, we had to wait 10-15 min to get a table. It was worth the wait. They had 2-4 vegetarian pasta options and a couple of flatbreads/pizza options but they were not available for dinner. We ordered a ravioli and a pasta dish that both came with side of house salad and garlic bread. Both preparations were very good. Their soups are made in chicken broth, so not recommended for vegetarians. Their wine was good as well. All in all only few options available for vegetarians but they all taste very good. read more

The new location is very inviting... And the server was very attentive.... However I do feel the quality of the entrees was not up to the standards of the previous location. Though the food was tasty.... The value however was not there...small portions for the cost... Especially for lunch...$50 for 2 with out alcohol. And agree with previous post... Their hours say it closes at 8:00pm. When we arrived at 7:45, the OPEN sign was still on the door. The hostess says "we don't take any customers after 7:45."I say it is 7:45." Some guy who was either the chef or kitchen staff says very rudely and gruffly " The kitchen closes at 7:45." He really said it in an ***hole tone of voice. Not apologetic or nice at all. Ya know, there are so many places everywhere I can spend my money and eat out, I will never, never, never spend it where staff, owner whoever he was would speak so rudely to anyone. Was visiting the area for the weekend and discovered this small Italian spot we wanted to check out for dinner. It doesn't have a lot of tables but there were some seats outdoors for warmer days I assume. Got seated right away and we ordered the meatballs with polenta as an appetizer. The meatballs were soft and flavorful but the polenta wasn't my favorite it felt a bit too heavy. I ordered the shrimp scampi and my boyfriend ordered the pasta milano. The portions were huge but it was an okay pasta dish. A lot of components going on so it wasn't the best pasta I've ever had but still a solid spot. We also got a bottle of wine to share which was great but didn't pair too well with the food we ordered. read more

The food is absolutely delicious....even when you don't get what you ordered...yes you guessed it...horrible service and completely useless staff...no management and an experience that was chocking considering the quality of the food. We tried this place a couple of times, about a year ago. The food is great but the male owner was angry and yelling that he was "going to walk out." He was really mean to his wife, the waiter. I'm sure she was embarrassed and felt helpless . I like to give 2nd (and 3rd) chances so we went a few months later and it did appear that the male owner was TRYING to behave, at least. He actually asked us how our food was, though he looked extremely nervous. I figured that he must have changed bc I'm sure he's read these reviews, but my friend, who told us about this place, says that he is the same (she seems to think its o.k. bc he's "just like Gordon Ramsey," lol) and seeing the recent reviews saying the same things about his behavior I'm disappointed that nothing has changed, apparently, unfortunately. We loved the food, but now we just go to Theresa's, even though it is more expensive. It's not worth it here, at least to me. read more

We tried Saluti's beause of the star reviews. Our table had the shrimp scampi, lasauna, italian sausage with penne. There were 5 of us and all of the food came out at the same time piping hot. The minnestone was full of fresh vegetables. Delicious. Everyone raved about their dishes. Prices were very resonable. The restaurant is owned by a husband and wife. They were both welcoming and super friendly. 5 stars for the quality and flavor of the food and 5 stars for their hospitality. We had the tirmishu and it was also awesome, so fresh and delicious.
