We've come twice and sold out both times.I settled for an order of garlic bread which turned out to be a slice of sourdough bread with garlic butter, served warm. I'll be honest, I slept on this place for years because it doesn't look incredibly appealing from the outside, but holy moly do they know how to make some pizza. The quality of the crust and the sauce is so good and they've immediately become one of my favorite pizza spots. Staff has always been very friendly and the inside looks like a great spot for families. When I visited to pick up a phone order, they had some kids running around playing, and someone was singing their heart out from the back room, just absolutely belting it and jamming on a guitar. Company party scheduled, pre-ordered and pre-paid. Upon arrival, learned that reservation had been mistakenly cancelled by a phone call that was meant for another order. Staff apologized, went to work, offered free drinks and produced a half dozen excellent pizzas in a remarkably short time. This is now called "D'Bad Pizza" not Pine Grove Pizza, this was the third time I have been there under current owners/lessees but I have visited the establishment many times in the last 50 years under many previous owners/lessees. In the distant past it has always been very good, now the present establishment is very uninviting, cold and without customers unlike before when it was always very busy. They could not even provide me with a simple sausage and pepperoni pizza as they were out of sausage. Service was terrible with very uninterested young employees and very excessive wait time. The total bill was $55.00 for a pitcher of beer and a large pizza, Way out of line with the competition probably due to overstaffing and lack of business. read more

My family and I have gotten pizzas here quite a few times and they're always pretty good. I really like the sauce they use and I also like their ranch. That being said they do have pretty expensive pizza so keep that in mind. I'm sure their prices help them stay in business but if you're on a budget I would recommend going to Ray's Pizza. We were really happy to have stopped here. We did arrive and the young kid told us things might be slow because they had people called in. They did great with attending us! It's a little extra when it comes to price, but it's worth it with the quality ingredients they use, and the way they age thier dough! The taste is just incomparable. We haven't ordered a single thing off the menu we didn't absolutely drool over, and this morning we stopped for thier coffee, let me tell you, the homemade scones, cinnamon rolls, and coffee are enough alone to give this place 5 STARS! I ordered an iced macchiato and it was just divine. I paired it with a blueberry scone, and I swear whoever is the baker for thier breakfast foods is some kind of magical wizard. It was delicious. We found Pine Grove Pizza as we were coming home after a day of exploring from Hope Valley through Kirkwood. The young staff were all friendly and accommodating. We ordered a large combination pizza which came hot out of the oven fully loaded with ingredients. The crust was crispy and SO DELICIOUS!! The restaurant seemed clean and tidy and it was nice to have a couple of tvs to watch plus an arcade for the kids. There's even a small arcade in the back, so bring some quarters if you want. The menu is large, the service friendly, and the pizza delicious. The red sauce tastes amazing on its own, and there's not too much of it. Same goes for the cheese. The toppings are plentiful and fresh! And my most favorite of all: the crust! There's a satisfying crunch as you bite into it without feeling like you're eating charcoal. It's the perfect amount of thickness as well! We ordered a giant size and had half-pepperoni and half-black olive. One of the workers there recommended that we try the garden chicken pizza the next time we come up. I can't wait to come back here again! I want to try every single special pizza they have on their menu, including the BBQ one, garden chicken, all meat, and combination. The Garden Pizza had fresh, abundant toppings. The lasagna was decent, but the pizza is the star. In a big city, the quality they offer might have made the owners millionaires.
