My husband went with a surprise drink, and was presented with a wonderful brown sugar cinnamon latte. We both chose a large size for our drinks! Normally, the larges come with 4 shots of espresso, but I only wanted 2 as 4 is a bit much for me. My husband went with the normal 4 shots. Our drinks were out in no time. The coffee was incredibly smooth and well-balanced! The amount of ice was perfect as well. We also decided to support another local shop and purchased some spicy Cajun corn nuts crafted Moke Hill Nuts & Candies. They have been selling their snacks for over 20 years and are still going strong! A solid 5 stars for this amazingly cute coffee shop. I have been looking for a CR that lives up to its first name. Most CRs I find in the Bay Area are too heavy on the icing/sugar and too light on the cinnamon. In this case, Cinnamon is the middle name, but it should really be the first!!! This is it folks, this is what a Cinnamon Roll should be (to me, anyway). You can taste the cinnamon, it's not overburdened by sugar. The sourdough is chewy, but still soft, and I think I detect a hint of lemon in the icing. The icing is judiciously applied, meaning there is enough there to satisfy a sweet tooth, but not too much that I needed to scrape any off to taste the cinnamon. Dare I call it a Destination Cinnamon Roll? All I know is, next time my brother comes down to the Bay Area, I will be requesting said SCR! P.S. I have also tried their bread, which he has shared in the past, and that is also delicious!!! Volcano is tucked away, but is such a cute little town. Nobody was happy with their lunch. On the other side, service was excellent. Would I go back? No. Super disappointed. Yes it's not the best time for lunch. But if you can't serve quality - then why do you?
