Extremely disappointed at Fig Barn. We were on a little road trip and wanted a quick and easy breakfast spot. We ordered the brownie, which was delicious but not made in house. All of their pastries are locally baked by others. The jalapeño popper sandwich was underwhelming. The bagel was not toasted enough, literally not a single jalapeño inside, and the egg was like a souffléd egg bite. Now, the carnitas breakfast burrito was literally so disgusting and salty, it was actually inedible. I am upset that we took our order togo and didn't eat inside, because I would have sent the burrito back and requested a refund. I ended up eating the pineapple that came as a side with the burrito for breakfast. To top it off, on my way to the bathroom when we were leaving, I witnessed one of the staff members handling a bagel with her bare hands (which is fine), she then took out her phone from her back pocket to check a text or something on it, put her phone back in her pocket, then proceeded to continue cutting the bagel she was working on. We stopped here for a quick lunch on our way to the wineries in Plymouth. We had reservations so we only had about 45 mins for lunch. Most of the others in our group group were smart and called in their order on the way. The food was good and the place was pretty cute. I liked my Chicken pesto panini. My friend and I ordered when we got to the restaurant. There was a nice girl who took our orders and two others in the back kitchen prepping the orders. Everyone got their food, except for my friend who only ordered the soup. We told the waitress that we were missing her soup when the rest of the food was brought out. After a few minutes, another person in our group went to the back to remind them again of the soup. The soup finally came out when everyone else was finishing up their meals. I've in Plymouth on a marketplace buying excursion! Stopped in here, recommended by Messina, she said it's a great little coffee and breakfast spot! She was right! I got the breakfast burrito, which came with a little side of Sriracha, and some sliced pineapple. Had some really good Carnitas in it, and was heated on the Panini grill which was a nice touch! I also got a bagel to go, and it looks fantastic as well. I ordered a Matcha latte to drink with oat milk, and it's super good! If you're up here wine tasting, she said the avocado toast is amazing too, they also have lunch, and the pastries look unbelievable. I've been waiting for a place like this to come to Plymouth. I travel here often and was actually excited to try Fig Barn. This place is a family business Mom Dad and the adult kids Run this delight. Unique baked goods fill the counter, And they actually have a Jura Expresso Machine too! I have been using this brand for 15 years. The Americano is perfect, with the fact that the coffee beans are from a local roaster. I ordered a wonderful breakfast that was served open face style. Everything bagel toasted with cream cheese, sliced avocado,pickled onion,tomato seasonings and two poached eggs along with a little fresh fruit. ( this style of breakfast was a custom order). Let's talk them into putting it in the menu! The total was $14 which also includes the americano I had. I consider pricing to be exactly where it should be. Great value Oh I almost forgot, they are also open on Monday and Tuesday along with their other regular days. This is very important since every other option Is closed in those two days besides the doughnut place further down the highway.
