It is known for its specialty coffees, lattes, and a wide variety of chocolates and desserts, including truffles, eclairs, and s'mores treats. The cafe offers a cozy, historic atmosphere making it a great spot for a quick treat. The cafe has an outdoor patio, and is dog-friendly as we met one who was popular and friendly with the locals. We ordered almond croissants and lattes and were delicious. Other friend had ice cold chai latte. The servers were young and nice. We don't mind returning to their nice cafe shop if we are in the area.

I remembered that Chocolatte was nearby and decided to go support a local business. It's been a hot minute since I've gotten a coffee from them, and I was intrigued by their Valentine's Day menu. Ultimately I went with an iced Cupid's Cherry Kiss, while my husband wanted an affogato with extra shot. The staff were friendly and efficient at making our beverages. While we waited, we took a seat by the window to people watch. My drink was so cute, especially with the sprinkles. They added a lovely texture to a velvety chai. I appreciated that it wasn't too sweet even with the sprinkles and cherry white chocolate. As expected, the affogato was strong with the extra shot, but still smooth without being bitter. I need to remember to come back to Chocolatte more often. There's plenty of seating and the vibes are so cozy. Prices are okay, a little high but I'd rather be supporting a local business than Starbucks. They also have various pastries to choose from. We didn't get any this time but they all looked so fresh and good. PS: They also serve Gunther's ice cream!

My mom and daughter were looking at the quart menu and "oohing and ahhing" over the flavors when we were abruptly asked, "Are you buying a quart or scoops?" My dad politely asked her to repeat herself, and she responded, "DO YOU WANT A QUART OR SCOOPS?" When we said we wanted scoops, she bluntly replied, "Then you're looking at the wrong menu. This is the menu for scoops." We were the only customers in the shop, yet we were repeatedly rushed with, "What would you like? What would you like?" I eventually had to tell her that we simply needed a moment to decide. When I ordered a junior scoop of cookies and cream in a cup, she snapped, "In a cup or a cone?!" even though I had just said "in a cup." Before I could even finish my order, she was already asking, "What else? What else can we get for you?" The entire interaction felt unnecessarily pushy and rude. The funniest part? Her attitude completely changed once she noticed my incredibly kind father had still left a tip. Suddenly, we got a smile and a "thank you." The ice cream itself was just okay, but the service was what really ruined the experience. This is a place my family and I have driven past for years on our way to our cabin, and we were excited to finally stop. Unfortunately, we won't be back. If you're serving people who are likely passing through, a simple greeting, a little patience, and basic courtesy would go a long way.

It was like a time warp Christmas/summer/fall/spring. I mean it's perfect for anyone who likes unique things and places. Everyone there was so nice and attentive. My server in the cashier Jordan was so sweet. Everyone seemed very happy there. The sourdough pizza is to die for it's hot and fresh. I haven't tried the barbecue, but I will be back to try the barbecue. The mac & cheese was yummy. And they have many different types of drinks that you can choose from adult drinks to just regular soft drinks. They also sell ice cream, which is really cool with toppings. Twain Harte Creamery is located in downtown Twain Harte across from The Rock. Parking is usually street unless you get lucky and are able to park in front of a business. The inside is small, but homey. It could also use a deep clean, but the really fun is outside though. They have a nice patio area with a play area and jump house for the kids. You must buy something at the Creamery in order to partake in the fun though. We got in line and it seemed to more a bit slow -- we finally got to the register and ordered one Horchata Milkshake. Once we paid, the young kid at the register said it would be a little while before our order came out. As expected, it did take a while for our Milkshake to come and it was not worth the wait. Overall, I know I am a city girl and used to the more fast paced life so I will give them a little grace, plus their staff were friendly and doing their best. Rating is 3.5 stars! The last time we went we got brunch and sat outside enjoying the summer breeze. They have a pretty good selection of brunch items and at good prices, from avocado toasts to sandwiches and salads. I went with the breakfast bagel sando while my husband went with the panini-grilled breakfast burrito. As far as their drinks are concerned, they have seasonal menus and also serve the usual offerings of cold brew or lattes. I ended up choosing their seasonal blackberry matcha latte with oat milk while my husband went with the lemon cream cold brew. Both drinks were made pretty quickly by the friendly lady staffing the cafe. Was the matcha the best I had? Of course not, as I've had plenty of top tier matcha from south Sac and the bay, but it was smooth and the blackberry flavor was prominent. After waiting for several more minutes, our food was ready, and we eagerly dug in. I loved that our plates were served with freshly seasonal fruit, and that neither my bagel nor my husband's burrito was oily. Both of our selections were solid choices, and we would get them again. Fig Barn Coffee is a convenient place to stop by if you need your coffee fix to or from Sac. We usually just go to Sac for our drink fix, but this one still hits the spot in general, especially with its brunch options.
