Right off the highway thus double drive through shack will put you back in the road quickly. I got a white mocha as it was the only drink that didn't use a syrup. The coffee was very good without bitterness and the large gets you three shots. Thats what I'm talking about! The baristas were very nice and got me my order quickly. They were even nice enough to fill my water bottle! Great spot when driving along the foothills. I suggest you try it. read more

I really, really wanted to give this local place another chance, but I've been consistently let down. First, the hot lattes taste distinctly burnt. Either the beans are toasted too much, or the milk is over steamed. Second, the iced lattes taste flat, watered down, and bitter. So either way, they're not good. I came here on my way to work and waited behind one vehicle. Afterward, I pulled up and waited. And waited. One of the baristas was occupied with a walk-up customer and the other was just standing in the middle of the shop watching them. She glanced at me and ignored me. Then a new vehicle pulled in the other side and she immediately greeted them to take their order. Irritated, I drove away and went to Day-O in Lockeford instead! Given how limited our drive-thru coffee options are in Jackson, I really want to support a small local business but their coffee and customer service are all-around unsatisfactory. read more

We LOVE Java Drive! It's right down the street from Starbucks which we'll never go back to because their terrible. Java Drive drinks are much better quality, less expensive and very creative. They work with you here and give you great suggestions. They even have Affogato which you normally only find in restrestaurants, not coffee houses. We've been coming here for years. I get Iced Mochas, and my wife gets the hot Dirty Chai. Once in a while I'll mix it up when I get to the window and read the seasonal specials. I like that I can see the beans being ground fresh and being tamped into a traditional espresso machine. Feels like everything is automated these days, but not here. The whipped cream they put on my mochas comes out of a stainless steel dispenser, not a premade can like you get at the market. The staff always greets us with a smile, and watching them work is like watching a synchronized sport. Even when we're the only ones in line, I see the staff all chip in to get us in and out in a flash. You can definitely tell the difference in quality compared to the big name brand coffee places. They have pastries, bagels, oatmeal, and seasonal food treats for a quick bite on my way to work. Definitely worth a stop! read more

Stopped into Java Drive on Christmas Eve and have to rave about Tiley and Aubrey. The line was insanely long, but they kept it moving so quickly that the wait felt almost effortless. I came for my favorite decaf latte, and as always, it was made to absolute perfection when these two were working. Their customer service and friendliness stand out in a way you just do not see much anymore, not just in coffee shops but anywhere. Even with the holiday rush, they were upbeat, kind, and totally on top of things- the energy was awesome and they were absolutely killing it. PLEASE BE WARNED! If you get your cappuccino and it tastes like an ashtray you better not complain or ask to have it remade. This business is above it and cannot tolerate your dissatisfaction. Every time I get something from here, I'm missing half my drink. Half is foam half is coffee. It feels as if I'm getting ripped off. Their coffees are delicious, but if I'm paying that much money for foam, it's not worth it for me. Was helped by what seemed to be the owner of the place. She was very short with me and rude while I was ordering then proceeded to take 12 minutes to produce my one coffee order. Have been helped by other employees previously and have never been this disappointed. The coffee was subpar and tasted like they use cheap ingredients. Will not be returning here! read more

Great place for drinks! We get a chocolate mint milkshake, strawberry smoothie, and the milkyway frappe. Every single time we come here we're greeted nicely and have amazing drinks!! I haven't gotten one bad drink and I've been going pretty often cause I got a bit addicted! . The prices are pretty cheap considering what we get. Love coming here!! read more

A couple days ago i ordered 2 frappes one mocha and another one caramel. Both tasted the exact same and when asked which is which she said " Oh i don't know i forgot, but here you go" ??? What type of service is that. On top of that, she forgot my oatmeal. All this for $22. Lol. Service was awful. Time to hire new people please. Super unprofessional. I realize masks are a discomfort for workers and we've tried hard to support our local businesses but this one I won't go back for a long time. Workers were wearing masks around their necks and chins or not at all. When I politely mentioned that the mask works better when used to cover mouth and nose the girl server told me she wouldn't wear at all if she didn't have to. Had never been to this place before. My friends like the banana smoothies. Im a coffee gal. It was my first time there. Ordered a coffee with caramel and cream, and 2 bananas smoothies. He didn't ask if we wanted whipped cream, we had to ask for it. He then answered his phone while still helping us The coffee was not very good at all. I work in customer service, and I would never answer my phone while helping a customer. EVER. I won't be back after that experience. Maybe the smoothies are what their stars are for. read more

This has been my go to, daily coffee spot for a few months now. At first, it was great! The girls were always friendly, my drink always tasted great, and the service was quick. But recently, my drink has been made incorrectly at least 3 out of 5 days of the week. They regularly forget to do soy ( meaning I can't go within a five mile radius), and once even forget any syrups at all! I hate being this person, but it sucks when I have my fiancé bring me coffee in the morning that I can't drink, or getting to work and realizing I can't have any coffee for the whole day either. read more

Anytime I visit Jackson I have to stop here. Their blended beverages come with either vanilla or chocolate soft serve ice cream and they're always amazing. They make their own whipped cream and the quality is unlike any other whipped cream. The only semi negative thing I can say about this place is that the straw is almost too small for a large with a dome lid so I usually get the regular size to avoid that. But Java Drive is quite the little hidden gem of Jackson. They also offer just soft serve ice cream. read more

If you drive through often enough, they usually start to remember you & your order. They also offer a loyalty card that gives you $2 off your 10th drink The Chai at Java Drive is the best I've ever had. They also offer Almond Milk or Soy Milk for a small extra charge. And their freshly made whipped cream can't be beat! Java Drive is one of the most convenient and best spots in Amador County for a coffee or tea treat. read more

Been here twice now on my way to work and been happy with times! You know what they say, you'll have a customer for life if you make them happy their first three visits! So far so good! The first visit I had the mango smoothie. It was really good. And yesterday I ordered a complicated iced coffee. It was, again, great! Most importantly, the staff is FAST! Some drive-thru coffee places take forever, like Dutch Bros! Because this place is so fast, I can trust them to get my coffee and to get to work on time. I've been coming to this little shop for years, I love the drinks they have great coffee... but overtime the girls I like aren't there any longer :( customers service needs a checking in on because the last 2 times I've came here the baristas had straight attitude and was very rude in conversation. I like it better than Starbucks, but, before you say that could be "damning by faint praise" allow me to add, I don't dislike Starbucks. It's big chain stores of any kind that I like to avoid and in this case, it's not the same thing anyway. This is drive through only, with not one but TWO drive by windows, so there's seldom ever a wait. What I get there all the time is their cup of soft ice cream with chocolate syrup which is a great deal for $2. It's huge. They have a good line of smoothies and other drinks in addition to the coffee drinks and some good daily specials also. The young people who work there are really nice.
