Really cute bakery with some great coffee drinks and delicious baked goods. Loved that they had gluten free options and also offered tea drinks including London Fog. No seating inside but they do have a couple of little tables out front. Loved how strong my coffee drink was. read more

What is going on here? Last time we were in the area I got the best gluten free pop tart style pastry here. I looked it up and felt bad for all the bad reviews for new ownership. Ok everything was fresh baked each morning - warm and incredible. Do not miss this place - excellent. Service was great but espresso drinks were slow to come out. But it's "Mountain Time" so just deal with it. It's normal and you're an ass if you think otherwise, chill out. The place is cool - was an old butcher shop and the allure is awesome. I really wanted to love this place. It's so cute and the baked goods smell amazing. I went back two days in a row hoping for an almond croissant but no luck. The staff seemed like they needed a bit more caffeine themselves. I ordered a vanilla latte both days. The first day it was borderline cold. The second day a different gal made it but it still wasn't very hot. My husband said his americanos were just ok. I will probably give it another try when we are in the area. read more

Got a few things here but the standout was the spinach feta roll. We came up from LA for a wedding, and I have been thinking of the spinach rolls at least once a week. Chocolate croissant was not really a croissant but it did the job of satisfying a chocolate craving - just think of it as more of a chocolate bread roll. Service was good! Got some bagel sandwiches for my family which they seemed to enjoy. Would definitely go back for the spinach rolls, so I hope it stays on the menu!! read more

Aria is the best bakery in Murphys. Yes, it is the only one that cooks their breads and pastries on site. None the less, they are a wonderful bakery. Seating is very limited. Many people enjoy their purchases seated at the little tables outside the battery. Be patient as there is often a line that extends outside the bakery. read more

I didn't have a great experience last time so it's been a few months since I've been back, thought I'd give it another chance. Really bummed that they ran out of quiche and potato egg bites. What's worse is ordering the quiche, then waiting for 15 minutes, only to be told they had no quiche. Just a tip--whoever is taking orders should probably have an idea of what's available. Make It or Bake It Small, local bakery operating in lovely downtown Murphys that serves up freshly baked goodies daily, as well as brewing up a mean cup o' Joe. They're still doing that thing where customers can't enter the store as the cashier greets you at the door, and you just have to point at whatever you want from the bakery case five feet behind them. Me: Triple chai latte (aka Extra Filthy) and a medium vanilla latte. Cashier: Ok, anything else? Me: *straining to look behind her to see what's in the case* Yeah, I'd like some baked goods but having a hard time telling what's back there. Cashier: *gives me death glare* Me: ummm... Are those Muffins? Cashier: Yep... Me: What kind? I can't really tell... (Mind you, there's no signage on the display case) Cashier: *stomps over the case and TURNS ON the light* Me: Oh, well... That makes life easier, doesn't it? Cashier: *continues death glare* Me: I'll take a Blueberry, and is that a bran? Cashier: yes. Me: I'll take one of those, too. She then proceeds to ring me up, and even though she's being a wench, I still give her a +20% tip because I still appreciate she's up early to do her job, and I'm a sucker. Cashier: *complete attitude change* Thank you so much! Me: *raises eyebrow* Sure thing. She even came out of the store to hand me my food and coffee as I waited on the sidewalk with a big smile. Was in town for a concert and stopped in the morning after, what a cute lil bakery! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and my order was completed quickly. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, and my stars was it delicious! I mean YUMMMM! Also ordered a cookie and pastry to go, both which were tasty but that breakfast Sammie was the star of the show for sure. The results were a bit mixed. - Bacon and cheese croissant: excellent flavor. - Raspberry danish: too dense/sweet. - Cinnamon roll: good flavor, no complaints. - Latte: A little light on the coffee. - Iced green tea with mint: excellent All of the pastries shared a problem, the dough was dense and lacked the flaky/light quality one might expect. Good luck with the service- they're going with the soup nazi approach, except instead of the soup nazi its young people who hardly acknowledge your existence. Food is good and they're basically the only game in town so I go despite the fact it's almost painful to go in there, hence the 3 stars. 5 for food, 1 for service/vibes. I had a cinnamon roll today and can't complain about the taste. A quality product I would eat again. It's a small venue with small tables outside in front to sit down at. Located on the main thoroughfare in old Murphy's are businesses with buildings as old as the mid 1800s. It's nice to stroll in a historic neighborhood. read more

The quaint little spot was perfect for a gourmet coffee and a small bite on my way out of town. After a wonderful weekend in Murphy's we needed some fuel to get us home and Aria provided it!! I ordered the Americano with cream and peppermint sweetener. It was made to perfection! To eat I got the quiche. It was so fluffy and filling! I think there must have been 3-4 eggs in mine! I loved the crispy cheese on top. The flavor was rich and creamy. I loved it and it filled me up for my 2 hour drive home. The service was great as well. With just two ladies running everything, they were super! So friendly and kind with patients all while making amazing food and drinks. We visited Aria just last weekend and had delicious pastries for breakfast. Their croissants, muffins, and coffee cake were all lovely. Coffee and hot chocolate were great as well. Everyone was friendly and inviting. We came at a busy time, so it took a little while to get our order but given the number of folks there, the wait was expected and reasonable. Stopped by during a quick morning trip to Murphy's, this is a great location right downtown. It's very quaint, no indoor seating but has a few tables outside. Great spot to grab some drinks n pastries before walking around town. For drinks, we ordered a cold brew and an iced soy latte. The cold brew was good, but the soy latte was extremely milky. The espresso flavor barely came through, very disappointing! I think they didn't add enough ice, as it all melted away within the first five minutes. We chose the cherry chocolate chip scone along with the pumpkin muffin top to try. The pumpkin flavor in the muffin top was delicious, and it had the perfect amount of cream cheese frosting on it. I will say the texture felt a bit stale though. The scone was absolutely gorgeous, and was a great size. I consider myself a chocolate lover, but in this case I think there was slightly too many chocolate chips- the cherry flavor didn't come through at all and it was difficult to taste the scone base in itself. Cute place, but next time I'll probably order more carefully. read more

Excellent food and coffee, with good COVID-19 safety protocols. We ordered the following: 1) Sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on a garlic bagel - rich and heavy, but absolutely delicious! 2) BLT - good! 3) Peanut butter and chocolate chip scone - sweet and decadent 4) Plain croissant - good 5) Gluten free scone - disappointing (we had to get this for my gluten-sensitive mom) 6) Americanos - great We called in our order, and it was ready for pick up in 15 minutes. We appreciated the fact that they allowed us to pay by credit card on the phone for convenience and safety. We didn't have to enter the bakery at all for pickup, which felt particularly safe in these Covid times. The service was polite and friendly. Solid baked goods, and the breakfast bagel is enjoyable. Took off a star for shrill/angry service. The breakfast sandwich is made to order, but today the cashier treated me weirdly when I asked for bacon to be removed. Then I waited and observed while she kindly greeted a separate customer (who had similar ignorance to my own), but accommodated his breakfast sandwich selection without any huffing. This is a really small bakery located in the little town of Murphy's, on the main road. We were staying at the Wyndham timeshare condos and my dad foolishly got breakfast at the only restaurant nearby, the golf course restaurant. He said it was meh. I waited, knowing that we would be heading into Murphy's later in the morning. We stopped by aria first, to grab coffees. They have a large variety of baked goods, and the freshly baked bread aroma wafting out of the hot bakery was too tempting. I ended up getting a breakfast sandwich. You can choose basically everything about your breakfast sandwich, from the bread type (choose anything from the display)... bagel, croissant, whatevers. And then eggs with bacon or sausage and cheese. I ordered a garlic bagel with eggs, sausage and cheese. It was the best thing I ate in Murphy's. The garlic bagel had chunks of caramelized garlic. The sausage tasted homemade and the melty cheese over everything?! Omg. Perfection. My cup of espresso was also very good. I can not recommend aria enough. Coffee is weak, pastries are hit or miss and too expensive, and the staff (Cassie all three times we've been in, so I'm sure there are great staff there too) has been super flustered and rude to us.
