Really cute bakery with some great coffee drinks and delicious baked goods. Loved that they had gluten free options and also offered tea drinks including London Fog. No seating inside but they do have a couple of little tables out front. Loved how strong my coffee drink was.

A great bakery! Good selection of baked goods and drinks. I had an everything bagel, a bacon and cheese croissant ans a crabberry/orange muffin. Everything was really good. I also got a pumpkin spice latte! Overall, a great option for your morning baked good fix! Stay Cheerful

Chocolate croissant? This is like bread with a strip of chocolate. Not croissant like texture or taste.

Usually bakery items are good but the chocolate croissant was not. Not sure what this thing can be called except bread with a strip of chocolate and call it a chocolate croissant.

"Seeded" bagel. With no seeds :(

I didn't have a great experience last time so it's been a few months since I've been back, thought I'd give it another chance. Really bummed that they ran out of quiche and potato egg bites. What's worse is ordering the quiche, then waiting for 15 minutes, only to be told they had no quiche. Just a tip--whoever is taking orders should probably have an idea of what's available. Can't seem to catch a break at this place which is sad because it's really the only place in murphys that has quick serve breakfast.

Went with hopes to have breakfast sandwich and they weren't serving them last Monday. Also intended on buying several items to try everything and bring home to our family and I was highly anticipating this trip to Murphy's to go to this bakery. As you can see there was almost no pastries available. Came back several hours later to the same empty display. Left with with a pumpkins chai that tasted watery and tossed it. Extremely disappointed. Staff was very friendly that was a positive.

    Extra Filthy Chai Latte ($7.75 [$5.25 + $2.50/3 shots])

Make It or Bake It Small, local bakery operating in lovely downtown Murphys that serves up freshly baked goodies daily, as well as brewing up a mean cup o' Joe. They're still doing that thing where customers can't enter the store as the cashier greets you at the door, and you just have to point at whatever you want from the bakery case five feet behind them. Me: Triple chai latte (aka Extra Filthy) and a medium vanilla latte. Cashier: Ok, anything else? Me: *straining to look behind her to see what's in the case* Yeah, I'd like some baked goods but having a hard time telling what's back there. Cashier: *gives me death glare* Me: ummm... Are those Muffins? Cashier: Yep... Me: What kind? I can't really tell... (Mind you, there's no signage on the display case) Cashier: *stomps over the case and TURNS ON the light* Me: Oh, well... That makes life easier, doesn't it? Cashier: *continues death glare* Me: I'll take a Blueberry, and is that a bran? Cashier: yes. Me: I'll take one of those, too. She then proceeds to ring me up, and even though she's being a wench, I still give her a +20% tip because I still appreciate she's up early to do her job, and I'm a sucker. Cashier: *complete attitude change* Thank you so much! Me: *raises eyebrow* Sure thing. She even came out of the store to hand me my food and coffee as I waited on the sidewalk with a big smile. I guess we know what rules her life? TLDR: Good coffee and Muffins, but watch out for sass.

    Breakfast treats!

The espresso machine was out, which wasn't a huge deal since drip coffee was available, but the coffee itself was honestly pretty bad. It also didn't help that we were told the flavored syrup drinks were basically the same as their espresso specialty drinks, but it tasted like water down drip coffee. I ordered the French toast plate and my partner got the biscuits and gravy. The bacon seemed undercooked, the pancakes were dry, the biscuits and gravy were burnt, and the gravy itself was runny. Overall, for a meal that ended up being over $50 with tip, we were really disappointed with the quality.

It definitely did not disappoint. It's a cute little local bistro. Super cozy and warm with a super friendly staff! The food is good and the coffee drinks are delicious!! It's on the pricey side but understandable since I'm sure they get a lot of visitors. Why not charge more? It's a place to check out if you are staying up in Arnold!

For the longest time, I couldn't stop ordering the turkey pesto sandwich because it was that good. Once I finally started trying other menu items, I realized it wasn't just one great sandwich. Everything I've had has been delicious. The coffee and tea are exceptional as well. Manteca is so lucky to have a place like Bean & Leaf. Given the multitude of licenses at stake in such enterprises, I wish to share my recent experience at this location. This morning, my husband and I visited, and we were somewhat disappointed with the quality of our orders. He ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk, while I ordered an oat milk latte with an extra shot of espresso at a temperature of 200 degrees. He also selected a ham, cheese, and egg croissant, and I opted for a bacon and cheese croissant. Regrettably, the items did not meet our expectations. The beverages lacked the desired strength; although the temperature was correct, I was informed after placing our order that they were out of oat milk and had to substitute it with almond milk. Given that we had already paid approximately $30, this was quite disappointing. Despite these concerns, we did not request a discount or refund, and we accepted the substitution that was communicated to us approximately 10 to 15 minutes after placing our order. On a positive note, the staff were very courteous, and the establishment was clean. However, I suspect that the items we ordered may not represent the best offerings on their menu. While the service was commendable, there was a notable wait involved. It would have been preferable to have been informed of the oat milk shortage prior to payment, as we might have chosen to leave at that point. Unfortunately, our dissatisfaction led us to seek alternative options, and we subsequently drove to Stockton to visit Peet's Coffee, where we consistently find lattes prepared to our liking. While we may not return to this location, I do not wish to portray it negatively. It is clear that the establishment has potential, yet our experience did not align with our expectations.
