Lots of seating indoors and some outdoors. I also appreciate that I can bring in Rosie when I order my coffee! It's her favorite stop for a pup cup. And parking is so easy! They always have a small assortment of baked goods in the case, plus some grab-and-go drinks and sandwiches and small snacks. There's even a limited menu of various hot dogs. And ice cream! Copper's Ice Cream & Candy is located inside the Copperopolis Town Square! I stopped in today to grab some coffee before our drive home. While I didn't see much ice cream or candy, they did offer some quick snacks like chips, small dry cereal and sandwiches - plus more. They also offered some yummy looking pastries. I saw a sign for their drink special that was a Crème Brûlée Latte so I decided to go with that. It wasn't really anything special - it tasted the same as it probably would have anywhere else, but I would have liked for it to taste more like coffee, rather than pure sweetness. They had 2 separate areas for sitting and lounging - in the front and in the back where the restroom was. It's a cozy little place and staff were very friendly! Check them out! read more

We stayed for 3 nights and visited Java twice. Unfortunately, both visits were disappointing due to the service. On both occasions, it seemed like we interrupted the young server who was on her phone. During our first visit, she prepared an excellent Americano and Chai Latte, but the second visit was worse. I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese. She immediately placed a untoasted bagel in a bag. When I pointed out, "I ordered it toasted," she gave me an eye roll. She then stood by the toaster, waiting, instead of taking payment. She handed me the bagel, and as I left for my trip home, I discovered it was not only not toasted, but also incredibly dense and dry. I'm not sure if she pretended to toast it or if the bagel itself was poor quality. The server's consistently bad attitude was contagious and soured the experience. I am extremely impressed with this hole in the wall coffee shop in the middle of nowhere. I was looking for a Starbucks or Dutch Brothers coffee but this will do. I had their pistachio muffin and caramel blended drink with a total of $11. Kind of average pricing but I'm not complaining. I'm not spending money like I was in Disneyland. This would've cost me $20 or so. Very friendly staffing and I can understand there's only one employee. The drink is delicious and the pistachio muffin is above average. I definitely got what I paid for. Though I kind of wish they have more options in the drink menu, but I can't understand having limited selection due to low traffic with customers coming into this town. We stopped and got ice cream here when we arrived in town and the employees are really nice, but I'd have to agree with a previous reviewer that the overall ice cream flavor was more sweet than actually flavorful. The strawberry flavor had sliced real strawberries in it but the overall flavor was mild. Surprisingly the vanilla had more flavor. The texture was not bad. Somewhere between creamy and fluffy. Not very dense or rich so you may or may not enjoy it depending on your preferences. Still, it's ice cream and who doesn't like that. We each had two scoops and I couldn't finish mine as the portion was huge, but YMMV. read more

The ice cream was decent. It however tasted more sweet than flavorful. The Moose tracks had little peanutbutter cups however it tasted of just the little b'cups and not really much of anything else. The Praline Pecan too tasted just very sweet and didn't have much of the caramelised nutty flavour of praline. The staff was nice and friendly. read more

Poor customer service! 7/13/24 over 100 degrees out family in car. I ordered 1 mayors hot dog 3 ice cream cones. Waiter makes 3 ice cream's then takes next person long order. I ask is someone in back making that hotdog as waiter/cashier looks lost! I ask for my money back for the hotdog and was shorted my money! Mayor's hotdog is $7.00 plus tax cashier rushing to give me $7 but what the tax i paid? Also was left. 20% tip prior to service which is bullshit as well! Shouldn't be asking for tip until service completed optional! The person with long order apologized but nada from shitty service cashier/waiter after being robbed for my taxes and tip! I guess this place was bought by another ice cream company. They were pretty busy, 19 people total in the shop waiting to get ice cream and only one employee. There were 2 groups before us, one of 5 people, the other of 3. It took about 20 minutes to get ice cream. They definitely need to hire 1 or 2 more people especially for the weekends. We ordered the moose tracks, kona coffee and chocolate vanilla. They would not let us try any flavors. The kona coffee was very bland, not a strong coffee flavor, so he took one bite, didnt like it and tossed it. The chocolate vanilla was good. My daughter said there was a lot of chocolate chunks and the ice cream was wayyyy too sweet. So next time we want ice cream we will probably just go to Sonora or IGA. read more
