    Best egg bites EVER!
    cami c.

Visiting Murphys for a destination wedding and stopped at Gold Country Roasters for our morning fix. We tried the Sept special latte, Dancing in September, which is caramel, cardamom, and cinnamon --we used almond milk and half the syrup. It is delish! We also had the new veggie egg bites. Seriously the best egg bites I've ever had! These are not your Starbucks or Peet's bites, they have spinach, fluffy -- I mean FLUFFY - potatoes, and cheese. I'm going to dream about these things! This is a popular place--opens at 7:00. Get here early if you want pastries. The case was already sparse by the time we arrive about 8:30. Murphys is an adorable town and we will return--and stop here for our morning lattes!

Run don't walk to this place. The coffee is sooo good! I tried the golden sequoia and it was amazing. Plus they are super friendly. My kids were super chaotic and running around and grabbing all the flower pieces on their tables, rather than get mad they actually let them play with it. Their supervisor happened to be talking to my husband and she started telling us where they grind the beans and how long they've bee opened. This is truly a neighborhood coffee shop. Deff stop by here!! As someone from Manteca this is not our go to coffee spot in Murphy

We purposefully stopped at Gold Country Roasters on our way out of town because we fell in love with their Arnold roast. We experienced a bit of sticker shock at the price of our drinks. My Purple Haze was $9 . The other surprising thing was they charge $18/bag for their roasted coffee beans. But at Big Tree Market in Arnold, they're only $16/bag. They were also out of all of their breakfast pastries. (We arrived around 11am.) So, if you want to grab a breakfast bite, arrive a little early. The spot is super cute though & the trees were in bloom, which was so beautiful.

Awesome strong, delicious coffee. You pour yourself, and add whatever you like. Good service and quick. Busy place for good reason. Plus books available right outside the front door. Charming area to sit outside amongst birds and trees.

    Delicious rugelach!

While visiting Murphys today, we stopped by for a mocha. The beans used were on the dark side but after adding a little cream and sugar, it was delicious. As we sat outside, we decided to go inside and try an apricot rugelach and a cinnamon one. They were very tasty. We went back inside again and got another apricot one. Everyone here was so nice here. Delicious rugelach!

The staff wasn't very friendly and didn't ask for my name for my iced coffee like they did for everyone else. We had my toddler grandson with us so we waited outside with him. As soon as we went outside they shut the front door on us making my daughter feel unwanted and pushed out with her toddler. They never told us our coffee was ready so we finally walked in to check on it and it was waiting on the counter, melted...They could have at least came and brought our coffee out to us knowing we were right out front after closing the door.

Good coffee, very expensive. It's a small place but very strong in atmosphere and a good stop in a Downtown Murphy's trip.

Even though it was late on a Tuesday the patio was still busy. We got a nice table outside because it was a beautiful day and we had our GSD with us. Shared the beet salad and the chicken burrito and also a kids hamburger with fries for the pup ( fries were for us). PROTIP: We took the option to split each dish by the kitchen and although it cost a couple bucks more, you get a little more of everything! Beet salad was solid with perfect allocations of all ingredients. I would say it was a bit heavy on the dressing but I like minimal dressing and my partner said it was perfect so there you go. The burrito was "wet" and delicious! Lots of flavor fresh ingredients and very saucy. Only thing it lacked was a little heat. Ask for tapatio if you like a little spice. The hamburger by the way, was larger than a normal hamburger you get on the kiddie menu. And the fries were piping hot and fresh. Our dog loved the burger as he should and we downed all the fries. Highly recommend and will be back!

When the dish was placed before me the bread slid to the other side of the white dish that had no other accompanying garnish like a piece of lettuce or parsley. It was one, maybe a 2" x 5" very thin piece of sourdough toast. Hardly a snack. Bacon was obviously cooked hours before and very overcooked. This dish was hardly appetizing as it was covered by three slices of very crispy bacon which fell to the side, revealing about four microscopic chips of tomato and 4 of avocado. The avocado was over ripe and black and I could barely see the yellow tomato. I was very disappointed in the visual appearance of this dish, to say the least! And the ingredients were barely present to illicit any flavor. I was given silverware, but upon trying to cut the toast the whole thing fell apart. I pieced it together and used my hands. Now, I know fresh food items are expensive, but this item in no way warranted the price of $16.75! I do not recommend this very busy, seemingly popular eatery.

Especially their big round tables. There were four of us and we were sat a small round table inside and it was a little squished for all of us, our drinks, appetizers, etc. We had the calamari to start which was honestly the best. Actual pieces of calamari. Not just rings. The caprese salad was served with a pesto sauce and slices of mozzarella. Very fresh and great for a hot day. For my main I got the scallops with mushroom risotto. Tasty ! Overall solid meal The service was ok. Staff seemed a little lost and overwhelmed at times. They may have been short staffed

I'll definitely be back. I'm not gonna lie, walking into Alchemy when you're just looking for a quick lunch is a little intimidating. The place is giving elegant, polished, "I should probably know which fork to use" vibes. But once you're actually seated, the whole experience is surprisingly warm and inviting. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is professional without feeling stuffy, and the food definitely understood the assignment. I started with the soup of the day, which came with toasted bread and melted cheese on top. And honestly? No complaints. Warm, comforting, cheesy... exactly what I needed. Then came the Calamari Frites. Good crunch, solid seasoning, and since I personally believe jalapeños belong wherever they can legally be placed, I was VERY happy about those. The chipotle aioli was also giving exactly what it needed to give. For the main event, I went with the Alchemy Burger, medium-well, with fries. Everything tasted fresh, and the burger was definitely something I'd order again. BUT HERE'S THE PROBLEM. Now that I know the food is actually worth coming back for, I have to decide whether I'm loyal to the burger or emotionally mature enough to try something else on the menu. So yeah, Alchemy... you got me. First visit: 10/10 would do again. Next visit: probably ordering something completely different because I have a Yelp reviewer's responsibility to investigate.

I guess she didn't think that I was their mother maybe she thought I was a sibling because I do look quite Young my husband had to leave me behind in the fires because he's the one that flies the helicopters that fight fires sometimes. So i took a detour to get back home would have been us going to Murphy's and going around. I wanted a pound of chocolate but I couldn't see how much it was per pound I think it was $14 dollars for half a pound but my eyes were burning and I didn't have glasses so I couldn't see I didn't even get a half pound or a full pound and then after I picked my chocolates she kept coughing over my chocolates I don't understand such a sweet little old lady why would she be not very pleasant to someone that's buying chocolates to make a happy day for someone.
