The food was good. My granddaughter said some of the best biscuits and gravy she's had. The chicken strips were cooked golden brown and very tender and juicy inside. The chicken fried steak, country potatoes, scrambled eggs, and English muffins was also cooked just right. Ambiance you can eat inside or outside with the animals, we chose outside. The animals were a plus. My wife and granddaughter loved petting and feeding them. As for the service, great service the one lady had inside and outside to cover but did an amazing job. We will definitely drive the hour and a half again to come eat here. Everyone was so nice!!! Had a great time here.

The owner and staff are very rude. Multiple occasions we've gotten sick after eating.

The espresso machine was out, which wasn't a huge deal since drip coffee was available, but the coffee itself was honestly pretty bad. It also didn't help that we were told the flavored syrup drinks were basically the same as their espresso specialty drinks, but it tasted like water down drip coffee. I ordered the French toast plate and my partner got the biscuits and gravy. The bacon seemed undercooked, the pancakes were dry, the biscuits and gravy were burnt, and the gravy itself was runny. Overall, for a meal that ended up being over $50 with tip, we were really disappointed with the quality.

It definitely did not disappoint. It's a cute little local bistro. Super cozy and warm with a super friendly staff! The food is good and the coffee drinks are delicious!! It's on the pricey side but understandable since I'm sure they get a lot of visitors. Why not charge more? It's a place to check out if you are staying up in Arnold!

The empanadas were much larger than I thought - bigger than my hand! So two of them was a bit too much to eat, while one would be a light meal. I got one with a tomato basil cheese filling and one with an onion and chard filling - so different but each delicious! Washed down with an ice cold glass of jasmine green tea to beat the heat. My friends reported that the chicken sandwich had the freshest chicken breast they've ever had - cooked to order by the friendliest cook! Logistics: - indoor and outdoor seating, but it's tight so get friendly in the neighborhood cafe - parking next door in the little lot and down the slope. It's a family run business that serves up fresh sandwiches, lattes, specialty empanadas, salads and more! I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch a decided on the avocado toast and an iced lavender latte. It was the perfect little spot for a relaxing meal, especially as I was traveling solo that day. I felt immediately welcomed and relaxed in their space. The avocado toast was amazing-nicely seasoned and topped with an egg cooked to perfection. The latte wasn't overly sweet but had the lavender flavor stand out. Wonderful place for a coffee or light meal. Highly recommend stopping in and enjoying all the "goodness" of Goodness Cafe!

Nothing beats grabbing an iced coffee on a lovely spring afternoon…read more I was in Jackson for some errands and wanted to check out the local coffee shop. It's been on my list for a while, but every time I wanted to go, it's been closed. Be forewarned that Boilerworks closes at 3 pm daily. The cafe sits in a quiet area at the end of Main Street, so it can be somewhat easy to miss. I ordered one of their specialty drinks, dubbed The Artemus, which is a hazelnut dirty chai with caramel sauce. There were no photos on Yelp showing the current menu and prices (until now as I'm sharing a photo of the menu), so I was a bit surprised by the cost of my drink. For a small town, I wasn't expecting to pay almost $10 for my chai. Note that I'm used to higher drink prices as I have plenty of boba, but none of my boba drinks have ever cost $10, however. I took it with a grain of salt and chalked it up to supporting a local small business. The nice lady/cafe owner made my Artemus for me super quickly, as I was the only customer. Her black Lab, which was adorable, was sleeping by her desk when I walked in. Upon receiving my drink, I took a seat outside at one of the metal stools. I didn't see the bookstore featured in the Yelp photos, so next time I'll have to return to check it out. The Artemus had a good flavor and thankfully, for the price, my cup was not full of ice (like some other big chain coffee place *cough cough*). Also, the iced drinks only come in one size (20 oz). To be fair, I think the drink is worth the price as it's definitely not watered down and it's taking me a while to finish it (currently typing this review while birdwatching on our property). All in all, while the prices are a bit steep, I would still recommend Boilerworks Cafe, and it's conveniently in downtown Jackson right off the 49.
