Now the pretty girls that helped me come up with drink was a fantastic smoothie rather than a coffee which I love to switch things up they were about to combine a strawberry with a mangle one and kg was Soooo Yummy!!! I got a vegan chickpea quinoa bowl, it was pre-made but they will heat it up for you which was really nice. Lots of vegan options for hot and cold food: oatmeal, paninis, wraps, bowls, and snacks. The choice to do so is not favorable for those who are sensitive to caffeine considering the effects of light roasts. Schnoogs should decide on one single espresso roast as everyone else, preferably medium, in their case. Mixing them all up is like mixing up all three octanes at the gas station! I have always been a fan of this place, especially since being diagnosed woth Celiac disease. They have the most amazing and decadent scones for Gluten free options and they also have seasonal flavors like the one I have pictures (which is my absolute favorite) the eggnog scone! I also love the cheeder bacon chive wedge and the pumpkin scones! Oh also their maple walnut ones are pretty tasty! They always have pretty amazing service, I was told I could order ahead so I could get plenty of bakery items and pick them up the next day the ladies are usually super nice and helpful and give great advice on whats safe and what is the best etc. I also like eating in when im able, they recently did a renovation and its pretty nice they have cozy reclining seats as well as couches so you can eat comfortably in a decently quiet environment thats also good for working on things like school. They also have free wifi, and a bathroom if your a customer. Its always clean inside as well which is always nice. There were so many tasty options! They also had several gluten free treats. Service was quick and personable. The protein brownie was moist and delicious, and we loved the gf lemon scone. My son had a vegan panini that he loved. The atmosphere was comfortable and had fun couch options (which we immediately chose). Stopped here with my mom and 9 month old because I heard they had gluten free options and they did not disappoint. The place was super cute- especially for a strip mall- they did a great job making it feel like a small town cafe. We got a couple of breakfast sandwiches, some things from the bakery case, and coffee. All of it was great! Wished they had a changing table for the baby in the bathroom but they had a couple couches that worked in a pinch! Happy to recommend this place and will definitely be back on our next trip up the mountain. read more

This place has changed. It used to be a nice stop off on our monthly trips to Sonora. Yesterday we noticed they no longer post pricing for their lunch menu items. Really, no pricing? My wife got her taco soup relatively fast, while I waited for a Farmer Panini. I waited and waited and finally my wife had her soup since it was getting cold. I had to ask about my panini and they were apologetic. My wife went off to Ross, next door while I waited. The purpose of eating there was so we could eat together. The panini was supposed to be made fresh on site. They are a bakery, after all. My "fresh panini bread" was supermarket sandwich bread with the crusts cut off?!? Clearly, they ran out of bread and instead of offering another menu choice they tried to slip this on me. I was hungry so I ate it. I will NEVER return. I used to enjoy this place. I really did. We first started going here just to shop their wide selection of premium loose leaf tea for holiday gift baskets, but now I also go to sit in the cafe and work on my computer for a lovely change of scenery as I work remotely. Coming from out of state this is my go to coffee shop when I come into Sonora I really don't know what all the one stars are regarding the service because the staff is very kind friendly and quiet. Apparently if they're not kissing your ass and fawning over you their snobs too many people are too pretentious believing that they are the main character in a sitcom get over yourselves. The fact that you can walk into this coffee shop and not be inundated with any type of political or cultural views is refreshing. They are right down the middle not one way or the other they just make good coffee, good pastries, and good food and that's all they should be doing. If you need a hug or somebody to tell you how great you are go to your therapist. Food is great, coffee was great, and especially the scones. People coming from the Bay Area have utterly ruined the foothills and if they think they can come up to ruin this little gem of a coffee shop , well think again. Staff are incredible. As someone who is gluten-intolerant it's so hard to find gluten free baked goods, especially when you are on a road trip and it's a chilly morning, where all you want to do is find some coffee and a bakery. As soon as we walked we were welcomed by a warm and cozy atmosphere. The staff was so nice and patient with me as it was my first time here and i didnt know what to order. The menu selection was great, and they have lots of homemade and organic options. I got the rancher bowl and my boyfriend had the spinach and mushroom quiche which were both delicious and nourishing. This is definitely a local spot loved by many! Update 10/30: Love it still but its no longer warm and cozy as they updated their decor. Would it sound crazy if I said half the reason for a weekend trip from San Francisco, to Sonora, was just for the gluten free baked goods, at Schnoog's? I've been to Zarzuela's in Lisbon Portugal, Mariposa in Oakland, and several other less recognizable places that make gf items in house. *This one is my favorite. Little ol' Sonora did not disappoint. (Thank you, Yelpers.) I'm not sure what kind of magic they put into their scones, or their other gf goodies, but it works, and really well. Such nice staff working behind the counter, too. I'm happy to support this business. (PS, staff wore masks. Good on them.) I had to take my dog to the vet and asked if there was a good coffee shop nearby as I don't spend much time in Sonora, she directed me to Schnoogs and I was so grateful! I got a mocha and my kid got a blended caramel coffee, both of which were delicious. The lemon scone was one of the best I've ever had, the glaze was tart and tasted so strongly of fresh lemon, the scone itself was a perfect texture. The chocolate croissant was nice but a little too sweet for me, it was still very good though. Their menu was easy to read, the service was good and they made sure to ask if we had any questions. I couldn't stay inside for long but it was clean and organized, there were many places to sit. Tables and couches were available. There were board games to play, and a shop space where they had small items and branded coffee cups. I will definitely be coming back and trying more of their products in the future. read more

Emperors new clothes anyone? Long and unmoving line. Glacial paced service but, to be fair, eventually provided by friendly staff. Indifferent coffee and a couple of muffins featuring still-frozen blueberries due, no doubt, to having been preserved at sub-zero temperature for a day or two since originally being baked. No wonder they asked me if I wanted them warmed up! The coffee and muffins at Safeway would have been better, a LOT cheaper, and way faster to procure. A great place if you've got time to kill. And I don't mean by sitting around drinking the coffee. I mean by standing in line while you wait to overpay for it. read more
